Trumpkins and Establishment Republicans

For a long time now, it has really bugged me the way some Republicans/Conservatives mock the supporters of Donald Trump.

(For the record, I am not a Trump supporter.)

This is not good.

"Flakes"?

The name-calling is so annoying.

Who is doing the name-calling?

Trump, certainly, does his share; but so do the frustrated "establishment" Republicans.

Again and again and again, these Republicans call Trump a buffoon. They belittle his supporters with names like "Trumpkins."

You know what?

That childish strategy isn't working out too well, is it?

When Trump is attacked, his support grows.

The establishment wing of the Republican Party needs to understand Trump's popularity and learn from it rather than pummeling Trump's supporters.

Like it or not, Trump has a message that is resonating with voters. It would make sense to tap into that. Instead, those voters are ridiculed by the increasingly aggravated establishment Republicans.

Time for the establishment Republicans to quit attacking voters. They need to appeal to the Trump supporters rather than alienate them.

Trump may be a buffoon, but there are a lot of buffoons spouting stuff. The establishment Republicans need to look at themselves. They are the ones with the problem.

Suggestion for establishment Republicans: Don't call voters needed to elect a Republican president "flakes."

I've completely given up on Milwaukee Talk Radio. I haven't listened to any of their incessant Trump-bashing for two months now.

They don't seem to understand that they're creating Trump, much the way the rabid ACT 10 protesters elevated Scott Walker.
