Never Trumpkins

So the Republican National Convention is underway.

What are the Never Trumpkins to do?

Yesterday, Reince Priebus addressed the issue.

From ABC News:

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Sunday that if the "Never Trump" movement disrupts proceedings at the GOP convention, it will just help the presumptive Democratic nominee.

"If [they] want to delay the proceedings, all they’re doing is delaying the evening and helping Hillary Clinton," Priebus said on ABC's "This Week."

"I’m not going to just shut people down," Priebus said of delegates who may try blocking Donald Trump's nomination at the convention. "But I’m also going to make sure that our rules are followed. And I don’t think they’re going to be successful."

The party chairman said that "Never Trump" delegates need to recognize that voters have made their choice.

"They don’t like the idea that 14 million people ... picked someone that they didn’t want," Priebus said.
Bottom line: The Never Trumpkins are actively helping to elect Hillary.

Their guy didn't win, probably because they never vigorously backed anyone, and they don't like it. Boo hoo.

Now I hear the Never Trumpkins whining about being insulted by the Trump camp, complaining that insults are no way to win them over.

For a year, the Trump detractors and Never Trumpkins have been insulting and mocking Trump supporters, and doing absolutely nothing to win them over. No debate, no reasonable discussion, just insults. Yet the Never Trumpkins believe they should be courted and coddled, after their relentless attacks on Trump supporters.

Doesn't make sense, but it is revealing.

You reap what you sow.

Never Trumpkins need to realize that they have a lot in common with the Trumpkins in terms of tactics, in terms of lashing out. I've witnessed the Never Trumpkins behave in the same manner for which they criticize Trump. I've read their unhinged tweets.

Both camps have reason to be ashamed, hurling insults.

Now is the time for unity, to defeat Hillary "What difference, at this point, does it make?" Clinton.

THAT should have been the goal all along.

Time to grow up, Never Trumpkins, and acknowledge that Hillary would be far worse for the country than Trump.

Remember Benghazi.

Charlie Sykes, self-proclaimed recovering liberal, has clearly relapsed in recent months, aiding and abetting Hillary while schmoozing with Rachel Maddow and the MSNBC crowd.

Let's hope he reevaluates his behavior and considers his supposedly deeply held principles.
