Jimmy Fallon: Bob Dylan - The Times They Are a-Changin' (Video)

In his special post-Super Bowl Tonight Show, live from Minneapolis, Jimmy Fallon portrayed Bob Dylan performing "The Times They Are a-Changin'."

Fallon switched up the lyrics to make it a vehicle to bash Trump and promote MeToo and Time's Up and Take a Knee.

It was awful. Very unfortunate that the show chose to use its Super Bowl forum to push such a blatantly political agenda and be so divisive.

And Fallon claims his show is apolitical?

Yeah, no.

OK. We know the author.

Here's video:

Lyrics:
Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that our country
Don't feel like our home
And that silence speaks
Louder than those who condone
If a tweet to you is worth favin'
Then lift up your voices and put down your phones
For the times they are a-changin'

Come women and men
Who hashtag MeToo
And believe me when I say
That we believe you
For weak is the man
Who calls truth Fake News
Time's Up, our silence we're breakin'
And even though Mel Gibson was in Daddy's Home 2
Well the times they are a-changin'

Come athletes with platforms
Throughout the land
Who by taking a knee
Are taking a stand
And before you shout out
That they should be banned
Listen to what they are saying
Perhaps they'd stand up if you reached out your hand
Well the times they are a-changin’

Come journalists, writers
Who report the facts
And brandish a pen
To fend off his attacks
Look past what he says
And look at how he acts
The Fire and Fury is ragin'
For his words can hurt but your words can fight back
New York Times they aren't a-failin'

Come leaders who bully
Like Internet trolls
We'll curse you with four letter words
Love and Hope
For we will go high
Even when you go low
The order is rearranging
For you have the power but we have the vote
The times they are a-changin’

Loved it! Just searched to find out if they were new lyrics. Expresses what so many want to say!

There were shots at Trump, but the message of the song was for all Americans to use their voice to speak out on important issues; not with pot shots, but truth. I loved it. Love- Hope-Vote: these are actions every American can take. It would be nice if there were more of all three in U.S. politics right now.

Absolutely love it!

Loved it! Very modern and appropriate. Bob Dylan will likely approve! Also nicely reminiscent of Fallon’s SNL days. Haters should crawl out of the 1800s and appreciate diverse viewpoints!
