This is a surprisingly level-headed and kind tweet from Jimmy Kimmel:

What @TheRealRoseanne said is indefensible, but angrily attacking a woman who is obviously not well does no good for anyone. Please take a breath and remember that mental health issues are real. The Roseanne I know could probably use some compassion and help right now.

He's not defending Barr, but he is suggesting that those attacking her "take a breath and remember that mental health issues are real."

You know the situation is out of control when Kimmel is the one calling for the merciless attacks on a Trump supporter to stop.

"When they go low, we go high." Remember when Michelle Obama said that?

Nothing could be further from the truth.
