The near-death drama Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been peddling unravelled on Wednesday.
She was not in the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, during the breach by rioters. She was in the Cannon House Office Building, which was not breached by rioters. She says she thought she would die, but that fear wasn't grounded in reality. I understand why Cortez was afraid. I'm sure it was an awful, frightening experience. However, she was protected by Capitol police and simply directed to another building. Her near-death tale was based in fear, not truth. She also may have concocted the account for dramatic effect, intending to manipulate the listener for political purposes.AOC looks very desperate here and she's also lying, as usual pic.twitter.com/CDp35SVJ1s

This reminds me of Bill Clinton's tortured, "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."‘#AlexandriaOcasioSmollett’ trends on Twitter, while NY Rep. rejects claims she 'wasn’t at Capitol during riots'

AOC: "We were all on the Capitol complex"https://t.co/WD1Aa64RKq
Remember that time @AOC had the close call in the helicopter with NBC News anchor Brian Williams? #AlexandriaOcasioSmollett
