Berkeley Cancels Ann Coulter Speech, Coulter Will Speak at Berkeley

UC Berkeley is trying to shut down free speech, cancelling an appearance by Ann Coulter, citing security concerns.

Ann Coulter is showing up anyway and speaking at Berkeley.

I love that Coulter is standing up for the First Amendment and exposing the Berkeley Leftists.

She agreed to all their unreasonable demands but Berkeley still cancelled the speech.

Concerns about rioting, having a replay of the Milo Yiannopoulos riots, are no excuse to shut Coulter down. The Leftist thugs will keep using or threatening violence to silence any conservative speakers. Berkeley can't claim to support free speech when only Leftist speakers are permitted on campus.

Coulter notes that she's no Milo. She's a 12-time New York Times best-selling author.

Coulter says, "I'm definitely speaking next Thursday at Berkeley."

Milos Yiannopoulos Resigns From Breitbart

From Breitbart News:

“Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved,” said Yiannopoulos. “They have allowed me to carry conservative and libertarian ideas to communities that would otherwise never have heard them. They have been a significant factor in my success. I’m grateful for that freedom and for the friendships I forged there.”

Milo continued: “I would be wrong to allow my poor choice of words to detract from my colleagues’ important reporting, so today I am resigning from Breitbart, effective immediately. This decision is mine alone.”

Yiannopoulos added: “When your friends have done right by you, you do right by them. For me, now, that means stepping aside so my colleagues at Breitbart can get back to the great work they do.”
Here's the statement from Breitbart:
“Milo Yiannopoulos’s bold voice has sparked much-needed debate on important cultural topics confronting universities, the LGBTQ community, the press, and the tech industry.

“Milo notified us this morning of his decision to resign as editor of Breitbart Tech and we accepted his resignation.”

Trump: Berkeley and Federal Funds

The important thing about this tweet is the question mark after "NO FEDERAL FUNDS."

Trump is starting a conversation, not threatening or decreeing anything.

I would need to know the persons responsible for inciting the rioting. Were they Berkeley staff?

Berkeley did allow Milo Yiannopoulos to schedule a speech, but was the institution intent on shutting him down before it occurred?

If Berkeley is found responsible for undermining the free exchange of ideas on campus and inciting violence, it's reasonable to withhold federal funds.
