Dodgers Honor Anti-Catholic Hate Group

The Dodgers and Major League Baseball are tone-deaf, like other woke corporations.

Their alleged celebration of Pride was actually an attack on people of faith, Christians, and particularly Catholics. A hate group was honored by the Dodgers.

The protests were not a display LGBTQ-phobia. They were expressions of concern about religious intolerance.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and the Dodgers are the purveyors of hate.

This is interesting, a post from 2007.
Catholic League president Bill Donohue announced a national boycott of Miller Beer on this morning’s “Fox and Friends.” He explains why today:

“Never have we experienced greater corporate arrogance than in this dispute with the Miller Brewing Company. Miller is sponsoring an incredibly outrageous and palpably anti-Christian event in San Francisco: the Folsom Street Fair (see its website at folsomstreetfair.com and be prepared to see the shocking photos of what goes on). Be sure to access our website at catholicleague.org to see the pictures not only of the fair, but of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an anti-Catholic group that is holding a mock Last Supper dinner tonight in San Francisco. The Sisters is one of the organizations that is receiving funding from this Miller-sponsored event.

“This all started when we learned that Miller was sponsoring an event that featured an obscene ad thrashing the Last Supper. After being pressured, Miller offered a lame statement of regret and said it was pulling its logo from the ad. Not only has it not done so—it is still posted on the website of the street fair—Miller refuses to withdraw its sponsorship. To top it off, when we informed them that some of the money being raised at this festival was being funneled to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, they were unimpressed.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have been hating for decades.

Trevor Williams Calls Out Dodgers

MLB pitcher Trevor Williams is not staying silent on the Dodgers' Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence controversy. He encourages his "fellow Catholics to reconsider their support of an organization that allows this type of mockery of its fans to occur."

I wish more MLB players and employees were like him.

Dodgers' Christian Faith and Family Day

This is pathetic.

Dodgers and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

This is the group the Dodgers support? Major League Baseball has no qualms about permitting this anti-Christian hate group to receive a "community heroes" award?

This is wrong.

Can you imagine the Dodgers giving an award to an anti-Semitic group or an anti-Muslim group? Can you imagine the team giving a blackface group an award?

Of course not. It would be disgraceful. It would be an affront to all decent people.

Celebrating an anti-Christian hate group is an outrageous move by the Dodgers and MLB. That should not go unnoticed.

LA Dodgers Choose to Reinvite Anti-Catholic Hate Group

I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that a Major League Baseball team would actually prefer to mock Catholics than possibly offend an anti-Catholic hate group.

The FBI engages in anti-Catholic behavior. Why shouldn't the Dodgers do the same?

From the Los Angeles Times:
Less than a week after removing the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence from their lineup, the Dodgers on Monday re-invited the organization to Pride Night amid backlash from LGBTQ+ and civil rights groups as well as local politicians and even Dodgers employees.

“The Dodgers would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends and families,” the Dodgers said in a statement. “We have asked the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to take their place on the field at our 10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night.”

The Los Angeles Sisters say they’ve accepted the apology from Dodgers leadership over the decision Wednesday to dump them from Pride Night under pressure from conservative Catholic groups. The Sisters said they will indeed be honored with the Community Hero Award they originally were to receive.

This is sickening.

Miller Boycott

When I drink beer, I drink Miller.

What can I say? I'm loyal to Wisconsin.

My motto: Better Diet Coke than Bud.

However, my loyalty to Miller has its limits.

I back the boycott.

NATIONAL BOYCOTT OF MILLER BEGINS; OVER 200 RELIGIOUS GROUPS CONTACTED

Catholic League president Bill Donohue announced a national boycott of Miller Beer on this morning’s “Fox and Friends.” He explains why today:

“Never have we experienced greater corporate arrogance than in this dispute with the Miller Brewing Company. Miller is sponsoring an incredibly outrageous and palpably anti-Christian event in San Francisco: the Folsom Street Fair (see its website at folsomstreetfair.com and be prepared to see the shocking photos of what goes on).

“Accordingly, Miller leaves us with no options: we are calling on more than 200 Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu organizations to join with us in a nationwide boycott of Miller beer. We feel confident that once our religious allies kick in, and once the public sees the photos of an event Miller is proudly supporting, the Milwaukee brewery will come to its senses and pull its sponsorship altogether. If it doesn’t, the only winners will be Anheuser Busch and Coors.”

Miller should not be sponsoring an event like the Folsom Street Fair.

In 2007 the world's largest leather event, the Folsom Street Fair, will take place on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We hope to see the fairgrounds filled with people in their most outrageous leather/rubber/fetish attire enjoying the world's largest and best loved Leather fair.

View pictures of past fairs here.

I'm surprised that Miller would agree to slap its name on this fair.

Some of the profits will be going to the
Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Read more on this "charity."

Here's an event scheduled for today:

Nice.

Bottom line: Miller can be proud to have its name on Milwaukee's Miller Park and connected with baseball, the all-American pastime.

Being associated with an outrageous event that mocks Christ at the Last Supper is a marketing and public relations disaster.

Miller should withdraw its sponsorship and issue an apology to its consumers.

Boycott Miller.
