BIG NEWS: The Obamas went out on Friday night.

All the news outlets are reporting on the date.

It's so thrilling that I just may faint.

Wouldn't it be cool if Obama were around to make sure I'm OK? Maybe offer me a bottle of water? He's so dreamy.... But I digress.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The president and his wife, Michelle, took daughters Malia and Sasha to see the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performance on Friday night at the Kennedy Center.

...The first family got a warm welcome. As they entered their box seats—designated with the presidential seal—the crowd gave them a standing ovation amid cheers and snapshots. Some in the balcony above the Obamas reached down, apparently hoping the president would touch their hand.

According to the Washington Post:
The Obamas stayed for the entire 2 1/4 -hour performance of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the center's sold-out Opera House.

Wow! Just WOW!!!

There's more!

Date night is turning into date weekend.

In other first family firsts, the Obamas -- including the first lady's mother, Marian Robinson -- will make their first trip to the presidential retreat at Camp David this weekend.

Oooh! Going to the presidential retreat for a getaway sounds so romantic.

Chris Matthews must be... I don't want to think about it.

Then again, the mother-in-law will be there, too.

Not quite so romantic.

In all seriousness, I can't believe that Obama "date night" is being reported as a major news event.

The lib media need to get a grip.

It's weird that Obama is being applauded for his leisure activities.

Shouldn't he be criticized for spending 2 1/4 -hours on something so frivolous when, in Obama's own words, the country is on the brink of a catastrophe the likes of which we haven't seen since the Great Depression?

You know President Bush would have been slammed for not working at a time like this.

People are suffering while the Obamas are walking around like royalty.

That doesn't seem right, but it's a different world now.

The Obamas are absolutely mesmerizing.

Such is the cult of personality.

  1. Baarrrrrrff! Puuuuukke!

The MSM have gone completely bonkers regarding the Messiah. He is not a simple politician who was elected President. No. He is the embodiment that is destined to cure all the ills of humanity. Quite a hefty challenge, that.

The only problem is that the US and global economies will only get worse and not better. The nadir is predicted to be, from multiple sources, about 2012. No way the Messiah can do anything to change that. Out with old and in with the new, I say! Obama, despite being in office a mere few weeks is already waaaay old.

  2. You people, the Obama Haters are the one who is always talking about President Obama being some kind of Messiah. I know who died on the cross for my sins,Jesus Christ, so I know who Barack H. Obama is. I also know HATE when I see it. If you have any darn sense, you can't blame Obama for this country being in the shape it is in. Or can you? You people have run everything, there has never been a Black President till now. And look what he inheritate, thanks to the sorriest president ever Bush. Bush had eight years to put this country were it is now, Obama hasn't even had a month. Like I said I know HATE!!!

  3. Look at the condition this economy is in, who has been in control of everything? The White Man.

  4. Let's not forget where George W. Bush was in Hurricane Katrina's aftermath - spending time with Mark Wills in beautiful California, frolicking as if nothing was going on in New Orleans.

When 9/11 happened and everyone was in shock and emotional trauma, weren't we told to carry on like normal?

One can't spend every waking moment at work. No one can. Presidents included. So why critique everything this man does? Such a miserable way to live if you ask me...
