Unlike Joaquin Phoenix, Renée Zellweger didn't lecture about the horrors of consuming milk. Instead, she tried to send a message of unity, saying we all agree on our heroes.
Of course, we don't. At least she tried to be a unifying voice.
I think she lost many in the Hollywood audience when she said, "We agree on our courageous men and women in uniform who serve. We agree on our first responders and firefighters."
