Democrats Delay National Convention, Reschedule

It was the right decision to cancel the July dates for the convention.

I'm not comfortable with the plan to hold the convention the week of August 17.

If life is back to normal, meaning churches are permitted to hold services and grocery stores are fully stocked and it's safe to be within 6 ft. of another individual and toilet paper is once again readily available and restaurants and bars are back in business and movies are shown in theaters and baseball resumes and the Wisconsin State Fair has just concluded, then I suppose it would be hard to argue against holding the convention.

If, however, life is still as severely restricted as it is now in hopes of preventing illness, or even somewhat restricted, then it would be irresponsible to bring people from every state in the country here.

That would put Wisconsinites at risk.

Infecting Wisconsin with COVID-19 and killing its citizens would not be a good move by Tony Evers, Tom Barrett, and the Democrats.
