Fauci and 'Irreparable Damage'

Less than two weeks ago, Anthony Fauci testified that schools would probably be unable to open in fall.

He was an advocate for severe lockdowns continuing until a vaccine became available.

Of course prior to that, Fauci demanded "15 days to slow the spread." That became "30 days to slow the spread."

Finally, Fauci has changed his mind about his "keep the foot on the accelerator" with lockdowns.

Dr. Anthony Fauci on Friday admitted frankly that the rolling state lockdowns which he has advocated for multiple weeks could cause "irreparable damage" to the United States, a sharp distinction from his earlier claim that the shutdowns were merely "inconvenient."

The White House adviser made the statement during an interview on CNBC on Friday morning. "We can't stay locked down for such a considerable period of time that you might do irreparable damage and have unintended consequences, including consequences for health," he said.

"I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go," he added.
Whenever someone would point out that the Fauci plan of shutting down the entire country was resulting in terrible consequences, his defenders would charge those against his plan as not caring about human life.

No, the people who refused to acknowledge that the lockdowns were doing irreparable damage, like the infallible Fauci and his worshippers, are the ones who caused the "unintended" catastrophe.

It's hard to consider this physician/scientist beyond reproach given how blind he was to the effects of withholding medical care for everyone other than those needing COVID-19 treatment and emergency care.

Fauci had blinders on in this crisis. He acted as if he were operating in a bubble. For being so brilliant, Fauci missed a lot. He carried water for the World Health Organization, Tedros, and China. He ignored the health impact of the unemployment tsunami, as well as the fallout regarding mental health, domestic abuse, and addiction.

Two things: Fauci is not infallible.

Blindly "following the science" without debate can be disastrous.
