Al Franken Resignation Speech

Yesterday, Al Franken announced that he is resigning from the U.S. Senate, but he was vague about when.

Franken also decided to trash the women accusing him of sexual misconduct.

This was bizarre.

He professed his innocence while declaring his intention to resign, taking swipes at President Trump and Roy Moore in the process. Franken depicted himself as the victim.

Democrat Franken refused to apologize and he's still serving in the Senate. And the Democrats are apparently OK with that.

Moral high ground.

Yeah, right.

Jimmy Fallon: Al Franken, Trump Investigation Joke

JIMMY FALLON: Actually, Franken said he couldn't focus on his job while under investigation. Then, another guy said, [Speaking like Trump] 'That's why I blow off the job and focus on my investigation. Focus!'

Jimmy Fallon: Al Franken Resigns From Senate Joke

JIMMY FALLON: Al Franken announced he's resigning from the Senate due to sexual harassment allegations. Other senators said he seemed heartfelt, contrite, and dignified, and there's no place for someone like that in the United States Senate.

Al Franken and Tammy Baldwin

Wow. Tammy Baldwin is so courageous.

Baldwin and her Democrat colleagues calling for Al Franken's resignation YESTERDAY really took a risk.

Jimmy Fallon: Al Franken Resign Joke

JIMMY FALLON: Following more allegations of sexual harassment, thirty Democratic senators called on Al Franken to resign as senator of Minnesota. But he's already got a back-up plan. He's going to run for senator from Alabama.

James Clyburn and Sexual Harassment Standards

Defending John Conyers is difficult.

Democrat Rep. James Clyburn found out the hard way.

From The State:

U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn could find himself in hot water.

A flippant response the Columbia Democrat made to reporters while walking in the Capitol is drawing the ire of many.

When asked about sexual harassment allegations against colleague Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), Clyburn seemed to suggest elected officials should be held to a different standard than other public figures.
That would explain why Conyers hasn't resigned and Al Franken hasn't resigned.

Being elected, according to Clyburn, grants them special status.

That could be called the "Ted Kennedy Rule."

And of course, we have the race card.

Jimmy Fallon: Al Franken 'Reflecting' Joke

JIMMY FALLON: Meanwhile, Al Franken said that he isn't resigning but will spend the next few days 'reflecting.' 'Reflecting' is a political term meaning 'hope someone else gets busted and this whole thing blows over.'

Al Franken and Lindsay Menz

Al Franken and the Democrats have another problem.

From CNN:

A woman says Sen. Al Franken inappropriately touched her in 2010, telling CNN that he grabbed her buttocks while taking a photo at the Minnesota State Fair.

It is the first allegation of improper touching by Franken, who is a Democrat, while he was in office. It comes just days after Leeann Tweeden, a local radio news anchor in California, said that Franken forcibly kissed and groped her in 2006, when Franken was a comedian.

...Lindsay Menz, a 33-year-old woman who now lives in Frisco, Texas, reached out to CNN on Thursday hours after Tweeden made her story public. Menz said she wanted to share an "uncomfortable" interaction that left her feeling "gross."
So, CNN held the story for days.

Why?

Was there concern that this allegation on top of the picture of Franken groping Leeann Tweeden would have spelled the end of Franken's career in the U.S. Senate?

Did the Leftists want some time to spin Franken out of trouble?
According to Menz, she attended the Minnesota State Fair with her husband and father in the summer of 2010, almost two years after Franken was elected to the Senate. Her father's small business was sponsoring a local radio booth, and she spent the day meeting various elected officials, political candidates and celebrities and taking photos with them as they stopped by the booth.

When Franken walked in, Menz and her husband, who also spoke with CNN, said they recognized him right away. Menz said she had a brief and cordial exchange with the senator.

Then, as her husband held up her phone and got ready to snap a photo of the two of them, Franken "pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture, he put his hand full-fledged on my rear," Menz said. "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek."

"It wasn't around my waist. It wasn't around my hip or side. It was definitely on my butt," she said, recalling that the brazen act lasted three or four seconds. "I was like, oh my God, what's happening."
I'm sure this isn't the last battle we'll hear about in Franken's War on Women.

Al Franken: Not Good Enough, Not Smart Enough

Jimmy Fallon: Al Franken Picture Joke

JIMMY FALLON: Trump said the Franken picture is really bad and speaks a thousand words. But do you know who literally speaks a thousand words? Trump on the Access Hollywood tape.

Jimmy Fallon: Al Frankenstein Joke

JIMMY FALLON: After the Franken story broke yesterday morning, Trump sent out a tweet at 10:00 PM, calling him 'Al Frankenstein.' That story again, it took Trump a full day to come up with the nickname 'Al Frankenstein.'

Jimmy Fallon: Kayla Moore Joke

JIMMY FALLON: At a rally today, Roy Moore's wife Kayla said Trump should thank him for distracting people from Russia. Then, she thanked Al Franken for distracting people from her husband.

Kirsten Gillibrand: Bill Clinton Should Have Resigned

These Democrats throwing Bill Clinton under the bus are such hypocrites.

DEMOCRAT Kirsten Gillibrand now believes Clinton should have resigned following the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

The only reason she and other Leftists are abandoning Clinton is because they're setting the stage to attack Trump.

Gillibrand makes the absurd claim that "things have changed" since Clinton's actions came to light.

From the Daily Beast:
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said Thursday that Bill Clinton should have resigned after the Monica Lewinsky affair. “Things have changed today, and I think under those circumstances there should be a very different reaction,” Gillibrand told The New York Times in an interview. “And I think in light of this conversation, we should have a very different conversation about President Trump, and a very different conversation about allegations against him.”
That's ridiculous.

Clinton has been assaulting women and trashing them for DECADES. When Clinton was president, decent people concluded his abuse of women was inexcusable. Sexual assault is a horrific thing. That's nothing new. Good grief!

Are we really supposed to accept that something has changed since Gillibrand spoke so highly of Bill Clinton?

These Democrats completely dismissed Clinton's accusers in the 90s as well as during the 2016 election. Hillary Clinton played an important role in degrading his accusers.

War on Women - give me a break!

History cannot be rewritten.

Gillibrand and her cohorts are a disgrace.

Al Franken and Vicki McKenna

On her program Thursday, Vicki McKenna discussed her personal experience with Democrat Al Franken.

In 2003 or 2004, when Franken was promoting his book, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them, he called in "to pimp his book" on Vicki's show.

Vicki and Franken got into an argument. During their discussion, Franken said, "No, you stupid dyke." He said that to Vicki on the air. When she reacted to his words, Franken denied that he had said it. Vicki and her producer played the audio back, and Franken hung up. Franken called back and demanded to be put back on the air. They argued and he hung up again. Then, Franken called back a THIRD time. Vicki challenged him again, and again he hung up.

Interesting.

Franken is a piece of work.

Jimmy Fallon: Al Franken Joke

JIMMY FALLON: Thar's the big story. Radio host Leeann Tweeden came forward and said Senator Al Franken groped her without her consent, and she posted a photo as evidence. In fact, it's so bad Franken is already the front-runner for president in 2020.

Fallon did one joke about Franken that he turned against President Trump. Then, he went to Roy Moore jokes and more Trump bashing.

Jimmy Fallon: Sexual Harassment, Elected Officials Joke

JIMMY FALLON: Some shocking news, you guys. It just came out that as many as four elected officials have not been accused of sexual harassment.

Al Franken: Resign or Be Expelled

I knew this was coming.

I knew Al Franken, cokehead senator, would get caught up in a sexual assault allegation. I suspected that Franken was on top of the "Creep List."

Still, this story is playing out like a Saturday Night Live sketch.

HAHAHAHA!

Franken is calling for an investigation of HIMSELF!

His victims are to be heard and BELIEVED!

Well, in that case, it appears that Franken is not fit to serve in the Senate.

Mitch McConnell needs to call on Franken to STEP DOWN NOW or be expelled, not investigated. He must be consistent.

Oh, and while we're at it, let's strip every single building, room, whatever dedicated to Ted Kennedy to be stripped of its name. Every statue of him needs to be relegated to the museum of sexual predators, so we can rightly remember what a monster he was.
