What is the incentive for any state to be fiscally responsible?

There is none when this kind of crap is rewarded.

Americans need to understand that the government is spending OUR money. We're paying for this. The government confiscates OUR money and then does this with it.

Wouldn't you like to keep more of the money YOU earned and spend it as YOU see fit?

Using the tax dollars of all Americans to assist New York in directly fighting COVID-19 is understandable.

Using our money to bail out Andrew Cuomo's failed governorship is not.

Why should the people and taxpayers of America be bailing out poorly run states (like Illinois, as example) and cities, in all cases Democrat run and managed, when most of the other states are not looking for bailout help? I am open to discussing anything, but just asking?

It's not right for all Americans to foot the bill for Democrat states that are failing because of years of poor management.

No way.

American taxpayers came to the aid of unprepared states demanding help with ventilators, hospital beds, and ICU beds.

You're welcome.

It's unreasonable to make all of us pay to bail out the pension systems of poorly run states like Illinois.

This money grab is unacceptable.
