If Robert Crimo was looking for a 4th of July celebration to attack, Madison, hotbed of anti-Americanism, wouldn't be a good place to go.

Madison is hours away from Highland Park. That's a long way to drive and then turn around.

It is chilling that the killer considered another act of domestic terrorism on the 4th. He had already taken so many innocent lives.

Mental illness shouldn't be an excuse for dangerous, deadly behavior.

We can't permit dangerous people, even if the danger is rooted in illness, to do harm to innocent people.

Illinois has universal background checks, a red flag law and Highland Park has an assault weapons ban. Yet the shooter was able to pass a background check and legally purchase two rifles after police came to his house 3 years ago for threatening to kill his family with a sword.

Swalwell's relationship with Chinese spy Fang Fang is reason for removing him from the House Intelligence Committee.

He's a threat to national security.

Lauren Boebert is free to exercise her 2nd amendment rights. She has nothing to do with the murderous actions of an Illinois man. If Swalwell believes it's appropriate to blame her for the shooter's actions in Highland Park, then he must find it appropriate to blame all legal gun owners in the country.
