Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks, and the National Anthem

The Dallas Mavericks haven't been playing the National Anthem before their games at American Airlines Center. The move was not publicized but Americans learned of it yesterday.

Mark Cuban told The Athletic it was his decision to eliminate the tradition of playing the anthem before games. The move went unnoticed through the first 13 combined preseason and regular-season games at American Airlines Center because the Mavericks did not publicize it, either within the organization or through an announcement to media. Monday marked the first game in which the Mavericks allowed a limited number of fans into their arena.

In a desperate damage control effort, the NBA ordered all teams to play the anthem before games.

When I saw this story early yesterday morning, before the NBA's order was circulated, I dismissed it as just more Leftist, "Hate America" crap.
The NBA is basically dead to me. I used to enjoy supporting the Bucks. Those days are over.
I don't care if the China-loving NBA plays the National Anthem before games. I don't care if its players protest. I don't care. I've lost interest in professional sports. They used to be a refuge from politics, where people would come together and have fun.
For me, the NBA, the NFL, and, I'm sad to say, the MLB have become politically divisive. I don't need that when I'm looking to be entertained.
I don't care if professional sports insist on pushing a Leftist political agenda. I have no problem cutting ties with them.
Life is very good without Mark Cuban's buffoonery and the NBA.

Mark Cuban Defends Planned Parenthood

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was for defending Planned Parenthood from Ben Carson, before he decided he was against it. Shortly after midnight EST Monday, Cuban sent a shot across the bow of Republican Presidential candidate Ben Carson for his comments attacking Planned Parenthood and one of its founders, eugenics activist and coiner of the term “birth control” Margaret Sanger.

This past Wednesday on Fox News, Carson responded to Democrats’ claim that the Republican effort to defund Planned Parenthood was a part of the “War on Women.”

...Cuban’s rebuttal to Carson consisted of a link to an NPR fact check. Before he thought better of it and deleted the tweet.

...Margaret Sanger has been dead for nearly 50 years. Whether she intended abortion to be a means for black population control (and I believe she did) or not, nothing changes the fact that this is precisely the effect it has today. There are more black babies aborted than born in NYC. Sure sounds like population control. In Mississippi, a state where whites outnumber blacks nearly 2-1, nearly 72% of children aborted are black.

Billionaire libs like Mark Cuban are so busy trying to take shots at Republicans, while making themselves appear to be so enlightened, that they miss both forest and tree. Abortion is phasing black people out in cities and states all over the country. Only when reactionary libs like Cuban start caring more about that than scoring points with other reactionary libs on twitter can we say that all black lives matter.

I cannot imagine defending the atrocities of Planned Parenthood.

No decent person can do that.

Leno: Mark Cuban and Bud Selig

Mark Cuban, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, made it very clear that he does not like Bud Selig.

According to Cuban, Major League Baseball is "Bud Selig's mafia."

MARK CUBAN: My experience is with Major League Baseball, and after all this there's no chance I'll be able to buy a team, it's basically become Bud Selig's mafia. He runs it the way he wants to run it....

Obviously, Bud Selig does not like to be tested. He does not want anybody to stand up to him....

I think [A-Rod's suspension and the PED scandal] is more about Bud Selig trying to flex his muscles and saying, 'Look, if you don't kiss the ring, I'm going to take care of you and kick you out of Major League Baseball.' And I think that's wrong.

Cuban is carrying quite a grudge.
