Clinton Backer Tubbs Jones Uses the N-Word

The new N-word is "noose."

Stephanie Tubbs Jones used it.

GASP!

From NewsBusters:

On Sunday, a Democrat Congresswoman from Ohio innocently accused the Obama campaign of trying to put a noose around Hillary Clinton's neck.

...Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio), a Hillary Clinton supporter, was talking to Fox News's Shepard Smith about NAFTA as a campaign issue on Sunday when she said the following (h/t and video available here courtesy our dear friend Ms Underestimated):
Well, you know what, the camp, the Obama campaign is trying to put that noose on her neck. But the reality is that Senator Clinton does not wear, uh, NAFTA. NAFTA is something that occurred during the presidency of her husband. She was the first lady, but she has been very clear about NAFTA.

As Noel Sheppard points out:
In the past couple of months, two journalists -- the Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman and Fox News's Bill O'Reilly -- have gotten themselves in trouble for making a seemingly innocent remark that involved the word "lynch."

...Now, assuming there ends up being no outrage concerning Tubbs Jones's statements, it can't be because she used the word "noose" rather than "lynch." After all, Dave Seanor, the longtime editor of Golfweek magazine, was fired for publishing the following cover regarding the Tilghman/Woods affair:

With this in mind, what else could save Tubbs Jones from the same ridicule and scrutiny O'Reilly, Seanor, and Tilghman were subjected to as a result of their largely similar indiscretions?

Tubbs Jones will get a pass. I have no doubts about that.
