Paul Ryan and John McCain

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Janesville) will join Republican presidential nominee John McCain at this afternoon's town hall meeting in Greendale, according to the McCain campaign.

Ryan, who last week drew national attention when he introduced his "Roadmap for America's Future" plan, is to participate with McCain, who campaign aides said today was "feeling a bit under the weather."

McCain canceled a series of post-event one-on-one interviews with local media outlets, but aides said he will participate in the town hall meeting at Martin Luther High School and a fund-raiser later tonight at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center.

I think Paul Ryan has the potential to go as far as he wants to go in politics.

I would be surprised if McCain picked him as his running mate. In the long run, I think it's better for Ryan to not be on the ticket.

He might have to make too many compromises.

No clock is ticking for Ryan.
