Nutjob Jim Adkisson goes into a church and opens fire, killing two people and injuring seven others.
The nutjob is anti-liberal and anti-gay -- the perfect storm for those on the Left wishing to bash conservatives.
It gets better for the Leftists. In his home, Adkisson had books written by Michael Savage, Bill O'Reilly, and Sean Hannity.

The pastor of the now too-well-known Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church occasionally wrote columns for the local newspaper, the Knoxville News-Sentinel. Last March, he wrote one entitled "Tolerance," in which he compared past intolerance of interracial couples to today's intolerance of gay couples.
"In the movie 'Hairspray,'" Rev. Chris Buice wrote, "the character Mabelle warns a newly formed interracial couple, 'You two better brace yourselves for a whole lotta ugly comin' at you from a never-ending parade of stupid.' We forget that it was not that long ago that the law forbade such relationships, even while some prominent segregationist politicians engaged in them. Today, a gay couple might encounter harassment and derision for simply holding hands in a public park."
Sunday morning, a whole lotta ugly entered the church's sanctuary in the form of a man who was angry about "the liberal movement" and its tolerance for gay couples, among other things. The man started firing a shotgun he bought from a pawnshop. He killed two people and injured seven others before he was wrestled to the floor and later arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
So now we can add liberals to the list of enemy combatants in America's culture war.
According to the News-Sentinel, Knoxville police department investigator Steve Still wrote in the search warrant that Jim David Adkisson, the man who was arrested in the rampage, went to the church "because of its liberal teachings and his belief that all liberals should be killed because they were ruining the country, and that he felt that the Democrats had tied his country's hands in the war on terror and they had ruined every institution in America with the aid of major media outlets."
Adkisson, who had served in the military, said "that because he could not get to the leaders of the liberal movement he would then target those that had voted them in office," the search warrant states. Among the items seized from Adkisson's house were three books: "The O'Reilly Factor," by television commentator Bill O'Reilly; "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder," by radio personality Michael Savage; and "Let Freedom Ring," by political pundit Sean Hannity.
"So now we can add liberals to the list of enemy combatants in America's culture war."

OK. Let's add U.S. military recruiters to the list of enemy combatants in America's culture war, too. The Bush administration, the Pentagon, and the oil industry belong on the list as well. They have all been targeted by Leftists.
What an angry statement it is to say that libs are on the list of enemy combatants!
It mocks the War on Terror and the brave people fighting to keep us safe in the post 9/11-world.
To suggest that Adkisson's crimes are indicative of some orchestrated assault on liberals is just stupid.
Isn't it fascinating that the Left wants to dump responsibility for the actions of crazed killer Adkisson in the laps of Savage, O'Reilly, Hannity, and conservative talk radio?
Conservative commentators are being blamed for the shootings, for inciting violence.
How ridiculous!
Adkisson is a sicko, a cold-blooded murder.
I've never EVER heard a conservative talk radio host advocate the killing of liberals or speak of resorting to violence.
Adkisson must be held accountable for his crimes. He is solely responsible.
But just because Adkisson had books by conservatives in his home the Left wants Americans to believe that Savage and O'Reilly and Hannity deserve to be considered complicit in the shootings.

I think it's weird, though totally predictable, that the Leftists are cherry-picking the information surfacing about Adkisson.
Adkisson served in the military.
Are the Leftists prepared to hold the military responsible for the shootings, too?
I'm sure some of the more radical Leftists are prepared to do exactly that.
Bottom line: Don't blame conservative talk radio or commentators for the criminal, immoral actions of Jim Adkisson.
Adkisson committed murder. He made a choice. He wasn't getting his marching orders from conservatives.
Would it be fair to blame Oliver Stone for the murder of Lauren Aljubouri?
Should we silence Stone and keep him from making movies that prompt nutjobs to kill? Should we censor Hollywood? Should we burn all copies of Natural Born Killers?
Does Stone have blood on his hands?
Then there's the Obama tribute from rapper Ludacris.

Sorry, Mary. You need to get some perspective. Jim Adkisson took up arms and stole two lives just because of his belief that they did not deserve to live. The squawkers you cite who refer to Liberals as scum and vermin incited this one man just as surely as a coach incites his team on Sunday.
Granted, Adkisson may have some flavor of mental illness which prevented him from seeeing the depravity of his actions, but it was deparavity and it was incited.

For you to say that "The Left is loving this," is just one more piece of sludge in that whole depraved cess pit. Every thinking, feeling, caring human is appaled by what went on in that church. I question your grasp of reality if you really believe that those "squawkers" urged Adkisson to march into that church and start shooting.

As far as Adkisson's comments go, he's a killer. I'd expect him to say horrible, horrible things.

By context, I mean the context of the conversation. What led up to the remark?
He said it on the air. No kidding. And I figured it was on Hannity and Colmes or his radio show.
What was the debate? Who was involved in the exchange?
You know, context.
Stop using the terms "liberal" "conservative" "the right" "the left", instead just say Americans. "the left" are Americans. "Conservatives" are Americans. Sean Hannity is American. Michael Moore is American.
