Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel Concert for Obama

Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are teaming up to raise money for Barack Obama.

This is not a concert for the little people. This isn't working class, common man stuff. This is for the people with big bucks.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Rock stars Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel are teaming up for their first joint concert to benefit Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Obama plans to attend the concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Oct. 16, the day after Obama's final debate with Republican John McCain at Hofstra University, located several miles outside the city in Hempstead, N.Y.

Seeing the two superstars together won't come cheap. Tickets start at $500 and range up to $10,000.

Apparently, Bruce Springsteen plus Billy Joel does not equal Barbra Streisand.

Streisand brought in $28,500 a person when she performed at Obama's mother of all fundraisers in Hollywood on September 16, 2008.

Of course, that price did include dinner and it was a more intimate gathering.

I wonder if Barack will bring his brother to the concert.

You know, Obama's half-brother -- George Hussein Onyango Obama.

George could use a night out.

Dinesh D'Souza writes:

So why aren't the networks covering the fact that Barack Obama's half-brother George lives in a 6 by 10 foot hut in the slums of Kenya? It took a reporter for the Italian edition of Vanity Fair to locate George Obama. Obama noted that when he met his famous half-brother in 2006 “we spoke for just a few minutes. It was like meeting a complete stranger.” George Obama also told the magazine that “I live here on less than a dollar month,” and “if anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed.” Obama has done absolutely nothing to help his unfortunate half-brother.

Since Barack Obama won't help his brother, perhaps you could open your heart and give to the George Obama Compassion Fund.

Perhaps Springsteen and Joel could toss in a few bucks.

George needs the money more than Barack.
