It goes without saying that MSNBC is not a hard news outlet. It can't claim to be fair and balanced by any stretch.
Remember this, from August 30, 2008?
Screen grab from MSNBC's breaking news coverage of McCain's VP announcementWhat is going on at MSNBC?
Not many people know what happens on that cable network. It doesn't have much of an audience.
I think that's why executives there are allowing, or even encouraging, its hosts to go off the deep Left end. It's either a desperate attempt to improve ratings or it's just extremely poor journalism.
In the process of this blantant cheerleading for the Left, tremendous damage is being done to the reputation of the NBC News division.
MSNBC has become a televised version of Air America.
What MSNBC did today during its coverage of John McCain's VP running mate announcement is inexcusable.
While Sarah Palin was speaking, there was a breaking news banner and a question: "HOW MANY HOUSES DOES PALIN ADD TO THE REPUBLICAN TICKET?"
Remember the offensive banner was under breaking news coverage, hard news. It wasn't some concoction by Democrat partisan commentators Chris Matthews or Keith Olbermann.
This trash is not just relegated to MSNBC. It has spilled throughtout the NBC News division. The outlet is fast becoming pure Leftist propaganda.
It's right for the McCain campaign to respond to this hostility and lack of intergrity on the part of NBC and MSNBC.
McCain Campaign Plays Hardball With NBC News, Media
The [McCain]campaign on Tuesday issued a statement decrying NBC News for its "apparent refusal" to air Joe Biden's controversial remarks that Barack Obama would face a "generated crisis" early on if he is elected. No one knows better than Hillary Clinton that the lib media always has had a "thumb on the scale for Obama."
"Biden's remarks capture perfectly the message of this campaign: Barack Obama is too risky, too inexperienced, to serve as commander in chief -- that his election by itself will provoke our enemies, and that his brief record raises serious questions as to how an Obama administration would respond to such a challenge," McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb said in the written statement.
"This campaign highlighted Biden's remarks throughout the day yesterday," he continued. "Yet on NBC Nightly News last night, when Andrea Mitchell reported on Biden's remarks, she failed to play the relevant portion -- the portion that this campaign and a variety of news outlets had found controversial, or revealing as the case may be."
A representative from NBC News could not be reached for comment.
The Atlantic also posted an expletive-laced interview with McCain adviser Mark Salter on its Web site Monday in which Salter assailed the media for their treatment of the Republican ticket.
"I think, starting with the Democratic primary, there has been a different standard for Obama than there has been for any candidate running against Barack Obama. And maybe this should have set off more warning bells with me," he said. "I think much of the media has a thumb on the scale for Obama. I think the thumb has been there the entire time."
Salter added that "the press has been harsh consistently" on the McCain campaign.
Had the lib media practiced journalism rather than serving as propagandists during the primaries, I believe the presidential race would be between Hillary Clinton and John McCain. The lib media conspired to deliver the nomination to Obama and keep information about the virtually unknown Obama from the American people.
Their credibility has been shot, shot dead.
Without question, Andrea Mitchell is guilty of journalistic malpractice in her coverage of Joe Biden's astonishing remarks about his guarantee of the coming international crisis for the country should Obama be elected.
The Politico also reported that Time columnist Joe Klein, who has been critical of the McCain campaign, has been unable to snag a seat on the McCain and Sarah Palin campaign planes for months.
"I've done nine presidential campaigns and this is the first time this has ever happened to me," Klein told Politico.
"My understanding is that his request came in too late," Palin spokesperson Tracey Schmitt said.
Perhaps Klein should do a little self-reflection.
Is he serving as a member of the press or is he really working to elect Obama? As a member of Obama's campaign, he's not entitled to a seat on the McCain and Palin campaign planes.
What's scary is NBC and the New York Times and all the other Left-wing news outlets don't seem to care about their responsibility to accurately inform the American public. They care about pushing their Left-wing agenda.
I don't see it as a vast Left-wing conspiracy. I see it as an abuse of power and a violation of the people's trust.
It's fitting that the McCain campaign expose NBC for what it is -- an arm of Barack Obama's campaign.

From Breitbart:
In this clip, McCain spokeswoman Nancy Pfotenhauer presses Andrea Mitchell to play all of the audio of Joe Biden's comments to supporters where he predicts an "international crisis" if Obama is elected. Mitchell says, "I think we played the whole thing." But as Breitbart.tv documented on Tuesday, the clip that Mitchell used was not from the Seattle event, but rather much milder comments made in San Francisco. MSNBC has even labeled the incorrect audio as being from the Seattle event.

A friend asked me the other day that if the Left Wing Conspiracy media was so powerful at pushing its preferred candidates and distorting public perception, how did George Bush get elected twice?? I didn't have an answer. Do you?
NBC is the worst network in news casts. They don't practice freedom of the press they practice freedom of a marxis network.
Chris Mathews is his own greatest fan its funny his ratings suck.
The only thing NBC has going for them is Jay Leno,at least he gives people a fair shake. Keep it up Jay.
Chris and all the other so called news jockeys can all pound sand!
Freedom will live on in the USA!
