Barack Obama will be the 44th president of the United States.
What does this mean for the country?
I suppose it means that Prairie Fire will be the next selection for Oprah's Book Club.
This was not the result I wanted, but for the sake of my beloved country, I wish Barack Obama well.
John McCain is such a class act. I detected no bitterness in his concession speech. He was sincere in his congratulations to Obama.

I agree Mary. John McCain was very admirable in his speech just now. Very, very nicely done. I wish him well.
Great speech from McCain!
Don't worry Mary, the Big O is not as bad as you think...
Happy days.
Obama was sublime. Down-to-earth and lofty at the same time. Spoke of hope that we can be great again, our commonalities and our strengths. It was more about us than about him. The most touching moments were when his and Michelle's eyes would meet and also when Michelle skipped offstage smiling with her daughters at the start. Imagine their joy and their pride!
