Sarah Palin, Nicolas Sarkozy, and the Masked Avengers

So what?

MONTREAL (AP) -- Sarah Palin unwittingly took a prank call Saturday from a Canadian comedian posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy and telling her she would make a good president someday.
"Maybe in eight years," replies a laughing Palin.

The Republican vice presidential nominee discusses politics, the perils of hunting with Vice President Dick Cheney, and Sarkozy's "beautiful wife," in a recording of the call released Saturday and set to air Monday on a Quebec radio station.

Palin campaign spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt confirmed she had received the prank call.

"Governor Palin was mildly amused to learn that she had joined the ranks of heads of state, including President Sarkozy and other celebrities, in being targeted by these pranksters. C'est la vie," she said.

The call was made by a well-known Montreal comedy duo Marc-Antoine Audette and Sebastien Trudel. Known as the Masked Avengers, the two are notorious for prank calls to celebrities and heads of state.

Here's the audio.

Funny. Ha ha.

We all get to listen to Gov. Palin take the prank call.

Who cares?

Palin joins the list of the Masked Avengers other targets: Mick Jagger, Britney Spears, Bill Gates, Nicholas Sarkozy, and Jacques Chirac.

Do you know what I'd like to hear? Do you know what I'd like to see?

It's not the audio of a prank call.

It's the videotape that the Los Angeles Times is suppressing in order to influence the election of the president of the United States, the one that has Barack Obama toasting Rashid Khalidi. Former Weather Underground terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were reportedly in attendance.

Doug Ross passes along this information he received from a reliable source.

Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can't release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying "Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine" plus there's been "genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis."

It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha's why they will not even let a transcript get out.

I want to know what's on that tape.

What went on at that dinner was no prank call. Obama wasn't being fooled. Obama wasn't kidding. It was the real deal.

Keep that in mind.

You know what I'd like to see Mary? Palin's medical records, like she promised. If she's not hiding something (or more accurately, the absence of some things), why wouldn't she just release them?

Back to the audio..... She sounds anything but VP material. She sounds like a twit. For god's sake, she doesn't even know the name of the PM of Canada! That's inexcusable.

I'd like to see Obama's medical records, not that lame summary he released.

What's he hiding? If he's not hiding something, why doesn't he just release them?

Could it have something to do with his illicit drug use/abuse?

Yes, back to the audio...

I want the LA Times to release the tape. What did Obama say at that dinner for Khalidi?

Obviously, it must be extremely damaging to Obama, so much so that the campaign is willing to risk dealing with the rightful charges of suppression and failing to be forthcoming with the American people.

It's not Obama's alleged statement about "God-given right" that troubles me.

It's his claim that he supports Israel. I can only assume that the tape reveals him to be a liar on this issue, too.
