Melodie Wilson made a difference.
Hers was a life well lived.
From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Melodie Wilson, longtime television reporter and anchorwoman, died Monday evening at age 59.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, Wilson became a very public cancer survivor and a constant advocate for others battling the disease.
She also became a founder of After Breast Cancer Diagnosis - ABCD for short - a one-on-one mentoring program for cancer patients.
Melodie Wilson was so much more than just an advocate for others. After all, there are lots of advocates.
Melodie was special. She was truly inspiring. She was such a caring and giving person.
She was the sort of person who would spend hours on the phone with someone she didn't know, to help.
She was amazingly candid, offering support and sharing her strength.
She was a shining light for others facing the darkest of times.
She was a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
Such a beautiful legacy!
