Alan Grayson, Daniel Webster - 'Draft Dodger'

Alan Grayson, Democrat congressman from Florida, is a darling of the MSNBC crowd, the wacko Left.

He's a boorish, loud-mouthed disgrace.

Some examples of Grayson's inexcusable remarks:

" I have trouble listening to what [Dick Cheney] says sometimes because of the blood that drips from his teeth while he‘s talking."

Grayson calls Linda Robertson, an aide to Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, a "K-Street whore."

Well, what about Bush, Jr.? What about Bush, Jr.? I remember Bush, Jr. kissing Prince Abdullah on the cheek and then holding his hand for an extended period of time. Maybe if he let him get to second base then gasoline would be a dollar a gallon.

Why would you put people in charge of government who just don't want to do it? I mean, you wouldn't expect to see al Qaeda members as pilots.

"But if we are going to talk about 9/11, why don't we talk about how not so much the people who died on 9/11 were disgraced by the possibility of an Islamic athletic center several blocks away? How about the fact that they were disgraced by a president who let it happen, who went on vacation the entire month of August after he was warned in writing that Osama bin Laden was actually finding targets in New York City and learning about how to take these planes and do terrible things with them?"

I don't know who disgusts me more, Grayson or Grayson's supporters. The Americans responsible for sending him to Washington should hang their heads in shame.

Grayson is running for reelection and he's fighting ugly.

It's no surprise that the despicable Grayson is running a vicious ad against his Republican opponent, Daniel Webster.

Watch.

Read analysis of the ad from FactCheck.org:
"Patriotism Falsely Impugned

Democratic Rep. Grayson wrongly says that his opponent 'refused' Vietnam service; claims he 'doesn't love this country.'

Summary
Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson of Florida is falsely accusing his opponent of evading the Vietnam War draft, claiming "he doesn’t love this country."

Republican candidate Daniel Webster didn’t "refuse the call to service," as claimed in a vicious TV ad featuring pictures of military graves and the sound of "Taps" being played on a bugle. In fact, the former Florida Senate majority leader was given routine student deferments until he completed his undergraduate degree. He then reported for a military physical and was disqualified for medical reasons.

Analysis
Rep. Grayson’s ad — entitled "Draft Dodger" — appeared in his Florida district on Fox News last week. It is one of the nastiest we have seen so far this year, and it’s false.

The ad opens with a shot of Daniel Webster’s face imposed over a military graveyard. As the picture changes to a photograph of a soldier next to another graveyard shot, and a mournful rendition of "Taps" plays softly in the background, the announcer — who according to the Grayson campaign is a veteran who served in the military for four years — says Webster "was called to serve our country six times during the Vietnam War" and "refused" each time. The announcer goes on to say: "It breaks an old soldier’s heart" to think that Webster could be elected, because "he doesn’t love this country the way I do."

But the ad’s charge is disproved by the very documents that the Grayson campaign provides to support their claim. A Grayson spokesman provided copies of Selective Service documents that were obtained under a public records request in June. They show that far from refusing to serve his country, Webster reported for a military examination as soon as he graduated from college, only to be disqualified on medical grounds.

The Grayson campaign provided the same documents to Mark Schlueb of the Orlando Sentinel, who reported that "Webster received college deferments, which were common during the Vietnam War, then reported for service and was disqualified for medical reasons."

This is exactly what I'd expect from Alan Grayson.

Hey, Keith Olbermann! I think your buddy Democrat Grayson really deserves the title 'worst person.'

I'm an independent and don't support either candidate. But as a veteran I'm offended that Alan Grayson would try and criticize anybody for not serving in the military when he hasn't done so himself. Mr. Grayson doesn't represent veterans, and he has no credentials to be the voice of any military veteran.
