UPDATE, October 4, 2010: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel doesn't cover Chris Christie's visit.
New Jersey's Star-Ledger does.
WAUKESHA, Wisconsin — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is back on the road today, kicking off his third week of travel by stumping for Wisconsin Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker.
Christie and First Lady Mary Pat joined Walker for a press conference this morning in Waukesha, about 25 minutes west of Milwaukee. Later, they plan to attend two fundraisers for him before swinging by his campaign office.
Between events, Christie had an interview with local conservative talk radio host Charlie Sykes, who praised him for taking on public employee unions in New Jersey and seeking to rein in pension and health benefit costs.
“People need to understand that governors need to stand up and say enough on taxing and enough on spending,” said Christie, who recounted his battles with Democrats who control the New Jersey Legislature and the leadership of the state’s largest teachers union, who he called a “privileged class.”
Sykes said he advised the Walker campaign to watch YouTube videos of Christie verbally sparring with reporters and opponents.
Christie also told Sykes that if the Green Bay Packers beat the Jets and Giants this season, he’ll come back on his show for a “mea culpa.”
Christie, whose tough talk against public workers unions has made him a favorite of conservative political pundits, is in high demand to stump and raise money for Republican candidates across the country for governor and Congress.
Thanks, Star-Ledger, for reporting what local media failed to cover.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be in Wisconsin on October 4th, campaigning with Scott Walker.
Wauwatosa – Scott Walker, Milwaukee County executive and Republican nominee for governor, today announced that reformer and New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, would be joining him for events in Wisconsin on October 4th.“Scott Walker has faced similar circumstances in Milwaukee County that I have faced in New Jersey, and his record of fundamentally changing the way government does business will serve the state of Wisconsin well,” said Christie. “Scott has cut his debt, reduced his government workforce, stood up to the special interests, and held the line on taxes. Scott’s record of reform is exactly what Madison needs.”
“Governor Chris Christie stormed into his capitol and got to fixing the mess left by Governor Corzine on day one, just like I will,” said Walker. “Chris has already put government back on the side of the people again, and found a way to say no to more spending, no to more government, no to more taxes and no to special interests. I look forward to working closely with Chris and following a similar blueprint to bring reform to Madison.”
Chris Christie is a dynamic figure. He's a reformer. He speaks his mind. His honesty is refreshing.
For example, back in May, Christie schooled a Star-Ledger reporter.
On Wednesday, Christie was in California campaigning with Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman.
Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman says the budget-cutting and union-fighting tactics employed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie provide a perfect "roadmap" for her plans in California.
Christie, a rising star in the GOP, appeared with Whitman in Hollywood on Wednesday for a rally and fundraiser.
Christie defeated the Democratic incumbent, Jon Corzine, last November. He has won praise among Republicans for eliminating a deficit, taking on New Jersey's powerful teachers unions and shaking up the Democratic-controlled Legislature.
Whitman says if she is elected in November, she will pursue a similar agenda.
At a campaign event with Whitman, Christie stepped in to handle a heckler.

REPORTER, (off camera): Near the end of the event, Ed Buck, a former candidate for the West Hollywood City Council, shouted that he wanted to ask a question. And then, he criticized comments Whitman had made about [Jerry] Brown. Whitman appeared to be handling him well, but Gov. Christie intervened.
GOV. CHRIS CHRISTIE: Let me tell you this. You know what? It's people who raise their voices and yell and scream like you that are dividing this country. We're here to bring this country together, not divide it.
REPORTER: Gov. Christie proving that chivalry is not dead.
I think it will be great for Christie to come to Wisconsin, bringing his energy and dedication to reform, and campaign alongside with Walker.
