Feingold: Wisconsin Newspapers Agree

Russ Feingold and company are proud of their endorsements by the liberal media.

I guess Russ hasn't been listening to the national conversation. People don't trust the liberal media.

If Feingold finds comfort in his endorsements from the media propaganda wing of the Democrat Party, that's nice.

But this election isn't about the liberal media promoting Feingold.

It's about the economy. It's about what we're experiencing in our daily lives.

Feingold is responsible for the government taking control of our health care system, meddling in one-sixth of our economy. He's responsible for the disastrous stimulus and runaway spending never seen before in our history.

We need jobs, and Feingold is following Obama's path leading us into the ditch. Actually, it's deeper than a ditch. It's more like a canyon.

(Of course, in Feingold's world and Obama's world, we just experienced the Summer of Recovery and the recession ended over a year ago. Talk about denial!)

Bigger government isn't the answer to get us out of this economic mess.

Feingold would know that if he listened to us rather than wallowing in what Democrat hacks in the liberal media write about him.

Ron Johnson listens. He gets it.

I cancelled my daily newspaper subscription. With aggregators online who needs, or wants, to pay for a bunch of idealogues censoring the news. Wise up Wisconsonians - cancel your subscriptions and tell them you're doing so because of this ad!

I'm assuming you haven't watched the debates Mary. Ron Johnson is the epitome of incompetence lacking any sort of direction or concept of what he would do in senate. Moreover if he weren't outspending Feingold by millions in television advetisments this race wouldn't even be close. Feingold wanted three additional debates, but Johnson declined because even he understands he has no substance. He even stated that he that this election isn't about the details. Isn't about details? Details are essential in the Senate especially if he ever plans to work on a bipartisan basis to get any sort of legislation passed. Then you decide to comment on the liberal media. Well arguing with a conservative about the media is pointless as their argument has no basis. I would like to state that Green Bay has never endorsed Russ Feingold as a candidate until this election (he's been there since 1992). Milwaukee decided to endorse Russ Feingold AND Scott Walker so clearly that's a liberal newspaper. Oshkosh where Ron Johnson hails from also decided to endorse Russ Feingold, which must have been rather embarrassing for Johnson. As far as the comments about the economy everyone with a brain understands Bush handed Obama a shattered economy. Over the last two years of the Bush administration debt rose $2.9 trillion. Obama, in his first two years added $3.2 trillion more to the national debt. The pace of debt expansion under Obama is obviously faster, but that's due to the stimulus and to a shrinking economy that still hasn't regained all the ground lost since the recession began in late 2007. Any further proof of your lack of knowledge on the economy may be salvaged by reading this article: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/28/business/economy/28bailout.html. As far as your comments on the healthcare bill you simply need to read what is actually in the legistlation. If I asked you to give me 5 positives and negatives of healthcare reform could you? Probably not, healthcare reform is a topic many people don't understand so maybe you should do some reading on the subject. Unfortunately this post will probably never see the light of day, but that is what happens when people choose to not work on a bipartisan basis. FYI I'm an independent. If you would like to respond I would be delighted to talk the economy, healthcare reform and the Wisconsin senate race with you.

Barbara,

I cancelled my newspaper subscription about four years ago. I've never regretted it.

Walt,

You insult Ron Johnson and you insult me.

That's no way to begin a dialogue.

FYI, I'm an independent.

Independent? Your location Mary is
"In a Blue State, in a Red State of Mind, United States". You endorse solely Republican candidates as evident by all of the buttons along the side the homepage. I haven't seen a single Republican thus far on your wall of shame while at the same time a multitude of Democrats. You bash the "liberal" media. Clearly you are an independent. FYI, I already sent in my absentee ballot and I voted for three Republicans. Rest assured I filled in many more bubbles than you will have to because I can't just fill in the Republican Party bubble and simply be done. If you are so independent who are you voting for that is a Democrat in this election? All I'm saying is if you are going to bash Feingold, Obama, the economy and healthcare reform at the very least have some sort of fact to back up your claim. The only reason I found your blog is because you are first on Google when I searched "Wisconsin Newspapers Agree", I'm not actively pursuing to descredit all the political gossip blogs on the internet. Also have you met both Ron Johnson and Russ Feingold (because I have met both) or at the very least watched all 3 political debates between them?

Yes, I'm an independent.

I'm not a member of any political party.

I am supporting conservative candidates and those happen to be Republicans.

There was a time, years actually, that I voted the Dem ticket. I voted for Dems for president. I vote for Dems if I consider them to be the best candidates for any given office.

My political views have evolved. Life will do that to you. I'm sure they will continue to evolve.

I don't think I'll be voting for any Dem in this election, but that doesn't say anything about my status as an independent. Perhaps I will vote for a Dem in the next election.

This independent looks forward to proudly casting my vote for conservatives on Tuesday.

Obviously, you're not a regular reader of my blog or you'd know that I harshly criticize Republicans and I have placed them on the Wall of Shame. You'd know that I have closely followed politics and have a good grasp of the issues.

I object to your insults and your accusations. You don't know me. You're pigeonholing me.

That knee-jerk response damages your credibility. Your analysis of me is extremely superficial.

Sadly, your insulting comments are typical of discourse on the Internet, especially in the political realm.
