Rasmussen: Walker 52%, Barrett 42%

Tom Barrett's campaign is intentionally deceiving supporters.

Bill Hyers, Barrett's campaign manager, sent out this e-mail less than an hour ago.

Dear Friend,

We're making our final ad buy of the campaign tomorrow morning, which means that Tom needs your help by midnight tonight.

Thanks to your support, all of the momentum is on our side. As the latest poll shows, our campaign is surging at just the right time, but a strong final ad buy is crucial to reach the remaining undecided voters and getting them to break our way.

We know that Scott Walker and his powerful special interests will say or do anything to get elected. According to the latest filing, Walker and his radical allies have spent more than $3 million to viciously attack Tom Barrett with negative and false advertisements.

That's why we've established an emergency ad fund to counter his attacks with Tom's positive vision to move Wisconsin forward, but in order to place these advertisements we need to raise another $43,473 by midnight tonight.

Can you be the difference again by clicking here to make a contribution of $25, $50, or even $100?

...With only 6 days to go the race remains a dead heat.

Hyers call the pathetic Mellman Group poll the "latest poll."

Is the Barrett campaign so clueless that it's unaware of the Rasmussen poll that shows all the momentum is on Scott Walker's side?

I guess all those lame abortion attack ads by Barrett aren't helping at all. (It's the economy, stupid.)

From Rasmussen:

Election 2010: Wisconsin Governor

Wisconsin Governor: Walker (R) Opens Double-Digit Lead Over Barrett (D)

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker now earns his highest level of support yet against Democrat Tom Barrett in the race to be Wisconsin’s next governor.

The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters finds the Republican candidate with 52% of the vote, while Barrett, the mayor of Milwaukee, picks up 42% support. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

The latest numbers move this race from Leans Republican to Solid Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Gubernatorial Scorecard.

Two weeks ago, Walker held a 51% to 42% lead over Barrett. Walker has consistently led Barrett in surveys dating back to February, with support ranging from 46% to 52%. In those same surveys, Barrett’s support has remained in the range of 40% to 44%.

Hyers is a liar.

"With only 6 days to go the race remains a dead heat."

Not true.

Momentum is on Barrett's side?

That's absolutely ridiculous.

I guess it's true that momentum is on Barrett's side - if he wants to lose.

Rasmussen now considers Wisconsin's gubernatorial race SOLID REPUBLICAN, moving from Leans Republican.

I think the gap is too great for the Democrats to overcome even by utilizing their usual methods to steal elections.

Nonetheless, I worry about them cheating. We know there's voter fraud in Wisconsin and we know that Barrett and his Dem comrades ignore it.

We know the Democrat-Union-Media Complex is going to get more desperate.
