Pelosi: 'We're Not Going Back'

Addressing the United Steelworkers' "Women of Steel" conference, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, lied through her clenched teeth.

She spouted the Dem talking points that we know to be complete and utter crap.

NANCY PELOSI: There's a reason we're in this situation. Republicans took us to the brink of disaster with a financial crisis to the depths of recession, nearly a depression, and we had to pull back from that, pull back from that.

In the meantime, they had stood in the way of the change, in many cases, of that we have tried to make in terms of increasing the number of jobs in our country. That's that.

Yeah, "that's that."

That's a lie.

Republicans didn't stand in the way of the Dems because they couldn't. They didn't have the numbers in the House or Senate to block Democrats' efforts.

Democrats are 100 percent responsible for their legislative failures. That is that.

Does Pelosi think union members are stupid? Does she think they're mind-numb robots?

It appears so.

PELOSI: What we want to say in this election, let's continue to take America forward. We're not going back to the failed policies of the Bush administration.

The problem with Pelosi's statement about continuing to take America forward is that Americans are rejecting the direction Democrats have taken the country. We don't consider what they've done to be foward. We consider it to be leading us off the cliff.

PELOSI: We are not going back. We are not going back.

I hope Pelosi is right about not going back. I hope we're not going back to the naive belief in the promises made by Obama and the Dems.

This election is our chance to initiate change from the failed policies of the $3 trillion man, Obama, and the Democrats.

When Pelosi says "we're not going back," she'd be accurate if she meant that a lot of Democrats will not be going back to Washington after the midterm elections.

Hopefully, Pelosi's statement is right.

The American voters will see to it that the Dems aren't going back.
