Rasmussen puts both the Wisconsin senate race and the gubernatorial race in the "Leans Republican" column on its Election 2010 scorecard.
From Rasmussen:
Wisconsin Senate: Johnson (R) Maintains Lead Over Feingold (D)
Republican challenger Ron Johnson continues to earn more than 50% of the vote in his U.S. Senate bid against incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold in Wisconsin.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Wisconsin finds Johnson with 52% support. Feingold, who has represented the state in the Senate since 1993, earns 45% of the vote. Two percent (2%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The race remains Leans Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.
Two weeks ago, Johnson, a wealthy plastics manufacturer, held a 54% to 42% lead over Feingold. In surveys since May, Johnson’s support has risen from 44% to a high of 54%. Feingold in that same period has picked up 42% to 46%.
In the governor's race, Rasmusssen has moved Wisconsin from "Toss-Up" to "Leans Republican."
Wisconsin Governor: Walker (R) Still Ahead of Barrett (D)
Republican Scott Walker now holds a nine-point lead over Milwaukee's Democratic Mayor Tom Barrett in the race to be Wisconsin’s next governor.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds Walker earning 51% of the vote, while Barrett receives 42% support. One percent (1%) favors another candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
This race moves from a Toss-Up to Leans Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Gubernatorial Scorecard.
Two weeks ago, Walker, the county executive of Milwaukee County, held a 50% to 44% advantage over his Democratic opponent. Walker has consistently led Barrett in surveys dating back to February, with support ranging from 46% to 51%. In those same surveys, Barrett’s support has remained in the range of 40% to 44%.
This is great news for Wisconsin.
