Obama claims that he's reflected on the results of the elections.
Obviously, the man is clueless on what yesterday's outcome means. His reflection is warped.
Obama doesn't get it. People are more than frustrated with the lack of progress. We aren't satisfied with the direction he has taken the country.
He refuses to admit that Americans rejected his policies and his manner of governing.
Obama keeps saying we can't spend the next two years "relitigating" the last two years. He doesn't get that voters have rejected what he's done and we want it to change.
It's a joke to hear him say that Democrats and Republicans must work together when he and his Dem comrades have spent the last two years ramming legislation we didn't want down our throats.
Obama is misinterpreting what happened yesterday.
If he wants to continue to fool himself, he can kiss a second term goodbye.
I'm surprised that Obama isn't budging. This alleged brilliant man isn't admitting that his own words, "elections have consequences," have come back to bite him.
Maybe I shouldn't be surprised. He's displaying the same cockiness that he has since he took office.
When asked by Jake Tapper how yesterday's "thumping" felt, Obama said, "It feels bad."
Apparently, Obama doesn't understand why it feels bad. He's misinterpreting the thumping.
I don't think Obama has been humbled. I don't think he's being truly conciliatory. Obama is making excuses for himself. He says he regrets the process of getting health care passed, the dirty deals, the buying of votes, but he doesn't regret the outcome.
What are we supposed to take from that remark? He's saying he needed to do the bribes, the end justified the means.
Obama is getting some tough questions, but he's dodging them.
Obama is in the driver's seat and he drove the car deeper into the ditch while sipping on a Slurpee. Voters want Republicans to come to the rescue. "R" doesn't mean reverse, as Obama repeated during his campaign appearances. "R" means rescue.
Obama flat-out rejected that American voters believe his policies have put us in the ditch. Now he claims the car is in neutral.
Obama says, Slurpees are "delicious drinks."
Good grief.
Let's face it. Obama is not going to compromise on anything. It's not his style. Community organizers and students of Jeremiah Wright don't compromise. Obama is not a uniter.
He's actually campaigning during this news conference. He's talking about his "funny name" again and his parents and grandparents. He's talking about the letters he reads every night, that they break his heart, but no one is filming him. Obama is perpetually campaigning. He can't turn it off and act like the leader of one nation.
He's trying to save his political career, not advance the country.
Obama said, "This is something every president needs to go through... In the rush of activity, sometimes we lose track with the ways that we connected with the folks that got us here in the first place."
"This is a growth process and an evolution."
That's not only psychobabble, it's lame psychobabble.
Obama said he doesn't recommend that future presidents experience the same "shellacking." I guess that means future presidents should look to Obama to learn what not to do.
Obama seems lost.
So, there will be gridlock.
Gridlock is good.
Stopping Obama's agenda is good.

If Hillary had won in '08, I think the Dems probably wouldn't be in such disarray.
Obama and all his flunkies like Feingold pushed way too far way too fast. Hillary wouldn't have been that stupid.
(Did I mention that I'm thrilled Feingold is history? The incumbent was tossed out. The afterglow will last for a long, long time.)
