Solyndra Scandal

Obama and green jobs and lies...

Get the facts on the Solyndra scandal:

"This Deal Is NOT Ready For Prime Time." "‘This deal is NOT ready for prime time,' one White House budget analyst wrote in a March 10, 2009 email, nine days before the administration formally announced the loan." (Matthew Mosk, Brian Ross, and Ronnie Greene, "Emails: Obama White House Monitored Huge Loan To 'Connected' Firm," ABC News, 9/13/11)

OMB Staffer Complained About "Time Pressure We Are Under To Sign-Off On Solyndra." "One e-mail from an OMB official referred to 'the time pressure we are under to sign-off on Solyndra.'" (Joe Stephens and Carol D. Leonnig, "White House Pressed On $500 Million Loan To Solar Company Now Under Investigation," The Washington Post, 9/13/11)

When Pressured By White House Chief Of Staff Office, OMB Staff Responded: "I Would Prefer That This Announcement Be Postponed... This Is The First Loan Guarantee And We Should Have Full Review With All Hands On Deck To Make Sure We Get It Right." "In one e-mail, an assistant to Rahm Emanuel, then White House chief of staff, wrote on Aug. 31, 2009, to OMB about the upcoming Biden announcement on Solyndra and asked whether 'there is anything we can help speed along on OMB side.' An OMB staff member responded: 'I would prefer that this announcement be postponed... This is the first loan guarantee and we should have full review with all hands on deck to make sure we get it right.'" (Joe Stephens and Carol D. Leonnig, "White House Pressed On $500 Million Loan To Solar Company Now Under Investigation," The Washington Post, 9/13/11)

George Kaiser, A Major Obama Fundraiser And Frequent White House Visitor, Was One Of Solyndra's Largest Investors. "Its largest investors were venture capital funds associated with Kaiser, the Tulsa oil executive who served as a major Obama fundraiser in 2008 and who has been a frequent White House visitor." (Carol D. Leoning, Joe Stephens, and Alice Crites, "Obama's Focus On Visiting Clean-Tech Compaines Raises Questions," The Washington Post, 6/25/11)

Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, writes:
The time has come for the self-proclaimed "most transparent White House in history" to come clean on their involvement in Solyndra securing a loan guaranteed with taxpayer dollars. The more we learn about this particular deal that has resulted in an FBI investigation, the more questions arise.

Did the West Wing put undue pressure on the loan analysts in order to stage a White House photo op? What was discussed between Solyndra's investors and White House officials during the roughly two dozen meetings? Did the White House push for the loan guarantee at the behest of an Obama donor and bundler?

After throwing over $500 million dollars down the drain, Americans have serious questions. Sign this petition if you agree with me that the White House needs to release all internal documents so that voters can know the truth.
