Walker Ads and Recall Effort

JSOnline has posted an utterly lame article, "Walker ads slap back at recall effort."

Scott Walker is spending money, lots of money, to fight back against the Democrats, Big Labor, and even the White House as they attempt to overturn the 2010 election.

Yeah, the figures are obscene. It's a total waste. And the fault for pissing away all this money lies solely with the Leftists.

That's not the position taken in the article. It's written as if Walker is to blame for running ads in the face of this idiotic recall effort, or at least equally responsible for the mountains of money being spent.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Welcome to the era of nonstop campaigning.

Gov. Scott Walker and his allies have already spent about $3 million in six media markets so they can air TV ads touting Walker's budget proposals and dissing the recall efforts.

"Oh, boy, they've been flooding the airwaves out here," said University of Wisconsin-Green Bay political science professor Michael Kraft. "On the channels we watch, there are four to six for Walker every evening. I've seen just a couple of the anti-Walker ones."

Rest assured, more is on the way.

All of this is happening because the Leftists are determined to wipe out the results of the 2010 election.

"Welcome to the era of nonstop campaigning"?

I think this is more accurate: "Welcome to the era of whiny Leftists refusing to accept the will of the people when they elect a conservative and reject a liberal candidate."

The Greater Wisconsin Committee - a liberal nonprofit based in Madison - has begun airing a series of TV spots highlighting what it says is the negative impact of Walker's budget plan.

Numbers weren't immediately available on the size of Greater Wisconsin's media buy.

But Republicans said they thought Greater Wisconsin's buy would be big enough that a typical viewer would see its ads three or four times per week.

Michelle McGrorty, executive director of Greater Wisconsin, said the commercials are not yet available online.

"We never discuss the size of our buys, but it is substantial," McGrorty said.

Yes, it's the gubernatorial election that will never end.

OK.

Let's get this straight. The ONLY reason the gubernatorial election is never-ending is because the Leftists are dragging the state through a recall rather than respecting the system and giving Walker the term in office that he earned.

Yes, the Left is in full hissy fit mode, and it makes me sick.

Walker should in no way be criticized for spending to RESPOND to the unjustified attacks against him.

What is he supposed to do while union members and the Occupy movement protesters and other Leftists try to kick him out of office?

How is he supposed to react to the out-of-state money and manpower pouring into Wisconsin to oust him?

Of course, he's responding.

There is no way that Walker wants to be in a never-ending campaign. He wants to be doing the job the people of Wisconsin elected him to do.

Given the crap that's been thrown at him from day one as governor, he's been remarkably successful.

Yes, this recall BS means tons of money will be wasted.

Don't accuse Walker of spending too much on ads. He's doing it in self-defense.

The Democrat-Union-Media Complex is waging war and trying to throw the state into disarray. Walker, on the other hand, is fighting the good fight, standing up for the people of Wisconsin, doing what we elected him to do.

Walker has been forced into this campaign. He didn't choose it.

Place blame for the disgrace of millions and millions of dollars being wasted where it belongs - the Democrats/Unions.
