Harry Reid: ALL ObamaCare Horror Stories Untrue

Harry Reid had the audacity to declare, "Despite all that good news, there's plenty of horror stories being told. All of them are untrue. But they're being told all over America."

He made the despicable, prepared remarks on the record, speaking from the floor of the Senate on Wednesday morning. This wasn't a mistake. It wasn't a statement taken out of context. Reid clearly said that ObamaCare horror stories are ALL UNTRUE.

Here's video:

Reid's horrible comments elicited reaction from conservatives, including Sen. Ron Johnson.

The Senate majority leader later claimed he didn't mean what he said, a weasel move. His attempt at damage control failed.

From FOX News:

Reid tried to clarify his remarks late Wednesday by saying he was only referring to the “vast majority” of stories featured in ads funded by Americans for Prosperity, a conservative group, and not the complaints of everyday Americans. However, he added fuel to the fire by continuing to slam the group’s backers, the Koch brothers, calling them “un-American.”

Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips, in response, said Reid had effectively "attacked the character and integrity of every American who had the courage to share how they're being hurt by the president's health care law."

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., called Reid's original remarks "astounding and offensive."

...The outcry over Reid's comments from Republican lawmakers was swift. Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., said he is demanding Reid apologize to those who have felt ill effects from ObamaCare.

“The majority leader, and any Democrat who agrees with him, owes an apology to all Americans who are suffering under this disastrous law and whose personal stories he has dismissed as ‘untrue,’” he said.

The communications director for Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., noted in a press release Blunt has taken it upon himself numerous times to read personal stories of ObamaCare’s negative impact on the Senate floor.
Read Ron Johnson's press release.
“Today Senator Reid stood on the floor of the Senate and called thousands of Wisconsinites liars.

“Here are his exact words about Obamacare: ”There’s plenty of horror stories being told. All of them are untrue.” Watch the video here. Senator Reid’s statement is not only shockingly offensive, it is ignorant and irresponsible.

“This is an astounding and offensive statement. I have heard directly from hundreds of individuals, families, and businesses in Wisconsin who are being truly harmed by the law – premiums increasing by several hundred percent or the health plans that they liked and wanted to keep are being lost.

“It is shocking, even in today’s crass political climate, that the leader of the Senate Democrats would have the audacity to say outright that those real people with real stories are all liars. An apology is in order. And if Senator Reid truly believes what he says, then he needs to step outside of the Washington, D.C., bubble to listen and see what is really happening in this country.”
Reid won't apologize, even though he's the liar and not all the people he accused of lying when they share their ObamaCare horror stories.

Reid lies about ObamaCare.

Obama lies about ObamaCare.

Why?

Because it's a real disaster and it's hurting real people.
