Today, May 9, 2024, Governor Parson signed HB 2634, putting in statute language that restricts tax-payer funds from going to abortion providers and their affiliates.

Prior to 2020, Missouri restricted family planning funds to abortion providers through the budget process. In 2020, Planned Parenthood and others filed suit against that defunding process and the Missouri Supreme Court agreed that it was unconstitutional but also stated that the defunding could be done by placing the pro-life protective language in statute. The legislature has now successfully placed the pro-life language, which will go into effect at the end of August, in statute.

In December, Planned Parenthood staff in Missouri were filmed by Project Veritas, stating that they would take minor girls across state lines for abortions without their parents’ knowledge or consent. In February, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey filed suit against Planned Parenthood for violations of Missouri laws.

In their recently released 2022-2023 annual report, Planned Parenthood reported total income of over 2 billion dollars. For the year the annual report covers, Planned Parenthood performed 392,715 abortions, or about 4 in 10 abortions, and abortions outnumbered prenatal care 62 to 1. In addition, according to their report, Planned Parenthood boosted its abortion numbers by facilitating “transportation and travel support, financial assistance, and referrals.”

Missouri taxpayer dollars will no longer fund the Planned Parenthood abortion mill.

Some people just don't want to facilitate the slaughter of babies, as well as the harvesting and trafficking of their organs.

Bill Penzey, Planned Parenthood, and Memorial Day

On Memorial Day weekend, Bill Penzey decided it was appropriate to call the workers and volunteers at Planned Parenthood "real life heroes."

Penzey wants to make the holiday "more inclusive."

Here's his Saturday email:

In my college days, as someone who spent a good chunk of my time studying history while having friends minoring in women’s studies, more than once these friends pointed out that history is pretty much mostly just “his” story. They were, of course, right. One of the facts so clearly backing them up is that, in the history of America far more women have died in pregnancy than men have died in combat. And this is not just a statistic from our distant past, this has held true since the start of this century as well. Yet where is this incredible cost women have paid in the teaching of our history? Where is this in the holidays we observe?

As a fan of “there’s no time like the present” I’m thinking that along with rightfully remembering and honoring those who gave all in service to our nation, maybe it’s time to make this weekend more inclusive of all those who gave all. Maybe in these last weeks, where the Republican Party’s attack on our country’s humanity has led to laws seizing control of reproductive rights from women and placing them in the hands of the state, we’ve reached the time for a turning point. Are we really going back to a time where white male privilege can dictate your assault victim/pre-teen daughter’s pregnancy is a gift from God and must be treated as such? I say Nope, Nope, and Nope.

And this isn’t about when life begins, this is about being truthful about what leads to the ending of pregnancies and honestly working to minimize those causes. When 80% comes down to pregnancies being unwanted, the first step is to ask who is working to cause unwanted pregnancies and why? Mothers Against Drunk Driving are actually against drunk driving. They don’t demand classes that teach bartenders how not to over-serve be shut down. They don’t lobby to pass laws that ban taxis and Uber from operating at bar time. Yet this is exactly what the right-to-life is doing when they block age-appropriate sex education and work to prevent accessible, affordable birth control.

For churches no longer about Jesus, or a political party no longer for We the People, children born into homes where two people love each other very much are not going to be where they find new customers. For tax cuts for the very-very rich and corporate jets for church leaders, the broken lives unwed, impoverished, single teen pregnancies create are what’s needed. Take away the right-to-life’s blocking sex education and affordable, accessible birth control, and abortion rates will plummet overnight, but so would the broken lives they depend on. Their leaders know this, but it’s a price they are willing to pay to fill their pews and get their votes. It’s time to call them on their cruelty.

But do you know who works hard to make sure young women are not left with nothing but bad choices? Planned Parenthood that’s who, and now more than anytime ever they need good people to let them know how much we appreciate all they do. So much of so many of our happily-ever-afters only came to be because of everything Planned Parenthood does to support and protect the health of women. Recent news articles have said corporate America has been silent on this issue because it is a no-win scenario. Maybe — Probably — I guess I’m about to find out. But with such a huge loss being certain if no one speaks out, we are willing to take a stand.

A shocking new video has just been released by the Center for Medical Progress, the undercover investigative group that in 2015 released videos showing that Planned Parenthood affiliates have profited from selling the body parts of aborted babies.

This latest video is a preview of footage that CMP investigators gathered at the 2014 and 2015 National Abortion Federation conventions, attended by hundreds of members of the abortion industry each year. (The NAF is a major trade group of North American abortion providers, and Planned Parenthood makes up about 50 percent of its members and leadership.)

And then there's school choice. How did Russia influence the Democrats' blocking parents from having choice in the education of their children? No stolen information had any influence at all.

Russia in no way "weaponized" Hillary the candidate and her "basket of deplorables" BS. Hillary and the Democrats own that.

Russia had no power to influence voters on any of these issues.

I've had enough of the absurd notion that Russia's influence was the deciding factor in the outcome of the 2016 election.

Hillary and the Democrats lost because they and their policies were soundly rejected by Americans.

1) “Religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” to expand abortion.

At a speech to the Women in the World Conference in April 2015, Hillary Clinton argued, “Far too many women are denied access to reproductive health care (aka. abortion) and safe childbirth, and laws don’t count for much if they’re not enforced,” In order to expand worldwide access to abortion, she suggested that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.”

2) Clinton attacks bill to protect unborn babies from painful late abortions.

In May 2015, the U.S. House passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act to protect unborn babies 20 weeks and older from excruciating late abortions. In addition to a statement slamming House lawmakers for advancing the bill, Clinton tweeted, “When it comes to women’s health, there are two kinds of experts: women and their doctors. True 40+ years ago, true today.” Poll after poll shows a majority of Americans support such legislation, including a majority of women.

3) Clinton denies the science of fetal pain.

Substantial medical and scientific evidence shows unborn babies are capable of feeling pain by 20 weeks after fertilization, if not earlier. It is well-documented here: www.doctorsonfetalpain.com. This developmental milestone forms the basis for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Yet Clinton chooses to ignore these facts of human biology, claiming the bill is “not based on sound science” per a statement by her campaign.

4) Clinton Gets “Hero’s Welcome” at Pro-Abortion EMILY’s List Gala

Just weeks before the official launch of her 2016 campaign, Clinton headlined the 30th anniversary gala for EMILY’s List, the political action committee that backs female Democratic candidates who support abortion on demand. TIME Magazine reported that Clinton received a “hero’s welcome” at the event. At the event, EMILY’s List founder Ellen Malcolm told Clinton, “Just give the word and we’ll be right at your side.”

For a candidate to be supported by EMILY’s List, they must take a hard-line stance in opposition to any and all limitations on abortion and support full tax funding of abortion. Former Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) had been backed by EMILY’s List in her first election but after supporting a ban on partial-birth abortion, the group withdrew their support for future elections.

5) Planned Parenthood Employees Pour Cash to Clinton

Hillary Clinton enjoys substantial financial backing from employees of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. As the Washington Free Beacon reported, “The former secretary of state collected nearly $10,000 from nine individuals who work for the country’s largest abortion provider, including from several high ranking executives.”

6) Clinton defends Planned Parenthood after videos expose the organization’s trafficking of aborted baby body parts.

After the stomach-churning undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the harvesting and pricing of aborted baby body parts, Clinton stood firm in support of the abortion provider. She went as far as to say, “I’m proud to stand with Planned Parenthood.” At a campaign event in South Carolina, she lamented, “I think it is unfortunate that Planned Parenthood has been the object of such a concerted attack for so many years.”

7) She even released a video message in support of Planned Parenthood.

In a video message, Clinton reiterated her support for the nation’s largest abortion provider and attacked opponents Scott Walker and Jeb Bush for backing efforts to defund the organization. She emphasized, “I’ll never stop fighting to protect the ability and right of every woman in this country to make her own health decisions.” (While she refused to use the word, the “health decision” she is referring to is abortion.)

8) StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer has endorsed Clinton for president.

The CEO of StemExpress, the company featured in several undercover videos for its participation with Planned Parenthood in trafficking baby body parts, has voiced her support for Hillary Clinton. “I’m a huge Hillary fan … she’s getting elected this time. It’s a done deal as far as I’m concerned,” she said.

9) Clinton attacked state-level efforts to enact commonsense protections for unborn children and their mothers.

Clinton’s campaign called the flurry of pro-life bills introduced in state legislatures “a dangerous trend.” Her campaign lamented, “In just the first three months of 2015, more than 300 bills have been introduced in state legislatures — on top of the nearly 30 measures introduced in Congress — that restrict access to abortion.” Among the measures being discussed on the state level are bills dealing with unborn pain, dismemberment abortions, informed consent, parental involvement, and webcam abortions.

FOX6 and WISN Reject Pro-Life Ad

Two Milwaukee, Wisconsin, TV stations – Fox6 and WISN – are refusing to air a pro-life advertisement in support of legislation banning the use of aborted babies’ remains in medical research.

The ad, sponsored by Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Family Action, contrasts ultrasound footage of preborn children with the monetary value of their organs discussed by Planned Parenthood officials in a series of undercover videos released over the past several months by the Center for Medical Progress.

...WISN told the pro-life groups they could air the ad during entertainment programming, but not during the evening news as they had originally hoped. As for Fox6, sales director Mike Neal wrote that station management was “not comfortable with the content during morning, daytime and primetime hours,” so they agreed only to run the commercial between 10:00 PM and 4:00 AM.

So now we know that FOX6 and WISN are in the tank for Planned Parenthood and its ghastly trafficking of dead baby body parts.
