What a load!

Just like abortion is health care and a choice, Shelter in Place is Safer at Home.

Killing a baby by any other name is killing a baby.

Being ordered to stay in your home by any other name is the government ordering you to stay in your home.

Since we're being told the order won't be enforced by the National Guard, it will be interesting to see if people will allow Evers to take away their right to assemble.

This late night tweet on Sunday from President Trump seems to indicate that we are not certain to face a lengthy shutdown of our economy.

I understand the necessity of "flattening the curve," but the curve doesn't exist in a vacuum. The fallout from the destruction of our economy would be intolerable for the people of our country and the world.

The more we learn about the virus the more targeted our approach can be in managing the outbreak.

By attempting to slow the circulation of COVID-19 through our communities, we hopefully have prevented our medical system from being catastrophically overwhelmed.

The measures taken so far have been dramatic. Bringing life to a near standstill has been surreal. Beyond the fear caused by the virus itself, the hoarding and panic-buying has been most disturbing.

It's made me realize how we lucky we are. Everything we need, food and household supplies, are always available. Being unable to buy things as basic as bread is scary. It's only been a bit over a week but I long for the days when the frozen food aisle was stocked with more than a couple of opened bags of peas spilled on the shelves. (Aren't people running out of freezer space? You can fill a room with toilet paper but there's a limit to how much one can have in the freezer.) Something as simple as picking up groceries is filled with uncertainty.

It's reassuring to know that if you need Tylenol or some other over-the-counter medicine it will be easily attainable. Now, the shelves are empty and "out of stock" is typical online. Also scary.

Of course, while scary, none of that compares to the consequences of being thrown out of work and the childcare mess resulting from school shutdowns. Small businesses are on the brink. Families are on the brink. This can't continue without severe suffering for millions and millions of Americans.

The government can't fix all this.

Letting Americans get back to business can.

Take trillions of dollars and use it to safeguard the at-risk population rather than destroying the economy and forcing formerly prospering Americans to be dependent on the government.

At 15 days, we need to make decisions that account for all factors. This isn't just a health crisis. It's an economic crisis. We have to find a balance between slowing the virus and destroying our country.

Anthony Fauci has jumped the shark.

This photo by the pool makes him look foolish. In terms of his brand, Fauci made a massive misstep posing, wearing the sunglasses.

I've had more than enough of this fawning garbage.

Norah O'Donnell should be asking Fauci about his horrible judgment in regard to China and the World Health Organization, his stunningly bad advice, and his unforgivable, inexcusable lies to the American people about masks. He chose to put millions of Americans at risk, if we're to believe that wearing face masks really is a life or death matter.

But what do we get? Fauci pretending to lounge by the pool.

The "good doctor" is doing a bizarre photo shoot during a health crisis? The pandemic can wait. Fauci's ready for his close-up.

Where's the outrage? Maybe if he had been holding a can of Goya beans people would be upset.

There is no doubt China engaged in a cover-up.

There would be no reason to lie to the world if the virus really just started naturally in a wet market. There would be no reason to prevent officials from other countries into China to assist. EXCLUSIVE: There is increasing confidence that COVID-19 likely originated in a Wuhan laboratory not as a bioweapon, but as part of China's effort to demonstrate that its efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the capabilities of the United States, multiple sources who have been briefed on the details of early actions by China's government and seen relevant materials tell Fox News.

...The sources believe the initial transmission of the virus was bat-to-human, and that "patient zero" worked at the laboratory, then went into the population in Wuhan.

U.S. Embassy officials warned in January 2018 about inadequate safety at the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab and passed on information about scientists conducting risky research on coronavirus from bats, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

...China "100 percent" suppressed data and changed data, the sources tell Fox News. Samples were destroyed, contaminated areas scrubbed, some early reports erased, and academic articles stifled.

There were doctors and journalists who were "disappeared" warning of the spread of the virus and its contagious nature and human to human transmission. China moved quickly to shut down travel domestically from Wuhan to the rest of China, but did not stop international flights from Wuhan.

Additionally, the sources tell Fox News the World Health Organization (WHO) was complicit from the beginning in helping China cover its tracks.

China quickly shut down travel from Wuhan to the rest of China to contain the virus. Meanwhile, China and the World Health Organization permitted people from Wuhan to travel all over the world.

Nothing could have been more irresponsible.

It's close to an act of war.

Fauci bends over backwards to not bash Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization.

He admits we didn't have accurate information about the coronavirus, but he won't criticize Tedros and WHO and China.

We had to shut down the country because of China's cover-up and disinformation campaign, aided by Tedros.

It's troubling that Fauci doesn't seem to be interested in facts. That's kind of weird for someone considered to be such a great scientist.

China officials knew of coronavirus in December, ordered cover-up, report says

Chinese scientists knew about the coronavirus and its deadly effects as early as December — but were ordered by government officials to suppress the evidence, according to a report.

In late December, several genomics companies tested samples from sick patients in Wuhan — the center of the coronavirus outbreak — and noticed alarming similarities between their illnesses and the 2002 SARS virus, the Sunday Times of London reported, citing Chinese business news site Caixin Global.

The researchers alerted Beijing of their findings — and on Jan. 3, received a gag order from China’s National Health Commission, with instructions to destroy the samples.

Rather than hunkering down to contain the virus, Wuhan officials went ahead with their annual potluck dinner for 40,000 families.

The alleged cover-up continued when representatives from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Jan. 8 visited Wuhan, where officials intentionally withheld information that hospital workers had been infected by patients — a telltale sign of contagion.
