John Kasich Votes For John McCain

During the Republican primaries, John Kasich vowed to support the Republican nominee for president.

Here's a shocker: On Monday, Kasich voted for John McCain.

The vote essentially is a symbolic gesture. Because McCain is not among the 18 certified write-in candidates in Ohio, Kasich's vote for president will not count.
So, in addition to going back on his word, Kasich decided it would be better to just throw away his vote.

Such a principled move!

Trump: Cruz and Kasich and Desperation

I wouldn't call it collusion.

There is a system. There are rules. Deals and agreements and plans of action within the rules are legitimate. Trump certainly knows that.

However, as far as desperation goes, I think that's a somewhat fair assessment.

I'm feeling a bit desperate when I view the situation.

Get used to it.

Kasich Eats Pizza With Fork

Kasich defends eating pizza with fork: It was 'scalding hot, OK?'

During a stop at a pizza joint in New York on Wednesday, John Kasich drew the mock ire of locals and reporters on Twitter as he used a fork.

On Thursday, Kasich explained himself.

"Look, look, the pizza came scalding hot, OK? And so I use a little fork," the governor of Ohio told ABC's "Good Morning America." "You know what? My wife who is on spring break with my daughters said, ’I'm proud of you. You finally learned how to use a utensil properly.’ But I mean — not only did I eat the pizza, I had the hot sausage. It was fantastic."

Kasich, apparently recognizing his error, finished up using his hands, although he did not fold over the slice, as is customary.

This is a story?

What a waste!

I think the "scalding hot" explanation was silly. If the pizza was too hot to touch, it would be stupid to put it in your mouth. Kasich should have said he'll eat his pizza with a fork if he pleases.

The 2016 campaign is driving me nuts.

MU Law Poll: Cruz 10-Point Lead in Wisconsin

Thursday, March 24, 2016

Vote For Ted Cruz, Wisconsin

The choice is so clear.

I don't get why all those insisting that Donald Trump as the Republican nominee would be a total disaster aren't doing all they can to support Ted Cruz.

If the sky is indeed falling, it might be a good idea to take steps to stop that from happening. I don't see a lot of effort to get behind Cruz. He's getting some endorsements, but it's not exactly a groundswell.

I wish Scott Walker would "go big and go bold" and endorse a candidate in the Republican race for president. I don't like that he's hesitating.

John Kasich can't win. Endorsing him would be a total waste, utterly pointless.

It has to be Trump or Cruz.

Come on, Scott.

On April 5th, I'm voting for Ted Cruz.

Scott Walker Tried to Save the Country

When Scott Walker ended his presidential campaign last September, he highlighted the importance of clearing the field. He urged others to follow his lead.

SCOTT WALKER: Today, I believe that I am being called to lead by helping to clear the race so that a positive conservative message can rise to the top of the field. With that in mind, I will suspend my campaign immediately.

I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider doing the same so the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive conservative alternative to the current frontrunner. This is fundamentally important to the future of the party and - ultimately - to the future of our country.
That was way back in September.

Not enough of the Republican presidential wannabes shared Walker's wisdom.

It took forever for long shots to drop out of the race.

Here we are in February, and some candidates, like John Kasich and Ben Carson, still continue to siphon off votes.

So, we have Trump poised to become the Republican nominee, thanks to that flock of egomaniacs.

Time to panic, I think.

This could not have played out worse than it did.

Pundits on the Right kept elevating Trump by slamming his supporters. The more they pushed and insulted Trump and his supporters, the more those people pushed back. No one did the right thing. No one compromised. No one would back down.

The Trump haters created the Trump candidacy, much the way the Scott Walker haters, those crazed protesters, created Walker, elevating him to become a respected national figure and make history rather than tearing him down.

Call them Establishment Republicans. Call them out of touch. Call them arrogant. Call them control freaks. I call them stupid. They kept alienating voters.

And here we are.

You reap what you sow.

They blew it.

We have those selfish candidates to blame, the ones that cared more about being in the spotlight than doing what was best for the country.

We have the stubborn, loudmouthed, name-calling Trump haters to blame, the ones that chose to mock rather than persuade in a respectful manner.

Their extended temper tantrum, their childish hissy fit thoroughly backfired.

What a disgraceful display! What a mess!

If the people give Trump the Republican nomination, then the Establishment Republicans will do all they can to elect Hillary Clinton.

Anybody but Trump, right?

No backing down.

I am genuinely concerned about our future. It's a bad dream. This isn't funny anymore. The unthinkable appears to be happening.

The people made their wishes known in the 2010 and 2014 elections, giving the Democrats well-deserved shellackings.

How did Republican lawmakers respond?

They failed to deliver. They didn't stick to the plan. They broke promises. The people understandably grew frustrated with them and with the process.

Enter Trump.

Many people are obviously desperate for strong leadership. They're so desperate that they are apparently content to accept Trump's role-playing as the answer.

Of course, the ultimate responsibility for Trump's ascendancy goes way, way back to the alleged conservatives that sat out the 2012 election and gave Obama a second term.

Of course, many Establishment Republicans have declared they will not vote for Trump, the fraud, vowing to sit out 2016 rather than debase themselves.

Of course, and here's the rub, not casting a vote for the Republican candidate is the same as casting a vote for the Democrat candidate, likely Hillary.

Once again, conservatives are CHOOSING to present the American presidency to the Leftists.

Principles? What principles?

New Hampshire Primary Poll

Kasich or any other candidate better not plan on putting out a tweet that he's going home to get a change of clothes.

That could stir up a lot of trouble.

Smart move.

GOP Debate: Observations

For a change, I watched a good portion of the GOP debate on CNN.

There still was too much "Trump is the center of the universe" from the moderators.

But, overall, I thought it was sort of interesting.

What I loved about Chris Christie's performance was the way he hammered Obama and Hillary Clinton. Of course, this is a primary debate, so the candidates are going to attack each other. That's to be expected. But, I like it when Obama and Hillary become the targets. It's the Democrat regime that I want to change.

The split screen showing Trump's reactions was distracting. Rather than hearing the other candidates' responses, we were laughing and commenting on Trump's expressions.

We also had fun watching Kasich doing his karate chop gestures. I likened his moves to Barbie doll hands.

I do wish Scott Walker was still in it.

Bottom line: Any of the candidates on the stage last night would be a better president than Obama has been. Obama has been such a disaster. The bar is set extremely low, but I would prefer to have any of them serving as president rather than Hillary. No question about it. None.

Sitting out the election is not an option. I find such talk disgraceful. That crap gave us Obama's second term and a nuclear Iran and an invigorated ISIS. Nice going.

Barack "JV team" Obama and Hillary "What difference, at this point, does it make?" Clinton gave us Benghazi and the cover-up. They've weakened America. We're less safe because of them and their policies and their warped ideology.

We need a regime change.

NO DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT.
