In 2025, 63% of Wisconsin voters backed a constitutional amendment requiring photo ID to vote.
— Rep. Tom Tiffany (@RepTiffany) February 5, 2026
In 2024, 71% voted to ensure noncitizens can’t vote.
The SAVE America Act does both, yet @SenatorBaldwin will still oppose it.

Aaron Rodgers: 'House Arrest'
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spoken out against what he called "house arrest," saying that the country needs to get back to work since so many people are suffering with unemployment and depression. https://t.co/ixJW8Gjex2
— Dan O'Donnell (@DanODonnellShow) May 15, 2020
"I think we all were buying into the idea of quarantine to flatten the curve and I think there are a lot of questions now that it's more of a house arrest to find a cure with people wondering exactly what that means as far as the future of the country and freedoms."-Aaron Rodgers
— Rep. Ron Tusler (@Ron_Tusler) May 16, 2020
It's a remarkably thoughtful comment from Rodgers. I'm glad he said it.

Open Wisconsin Parks, Businesses, Health Care

Wisconsin is not just Milwaukee. If necessary, lock down that city, not the entire state. We flattened the curve. The hospital system is not and was not overwhelmed. That was supposed to be the point of the lockdown.
Businesses across the state should be allowed to adapt to the coronavirus threat. If grocery stores, pharmacies, Target, Home Depot, etc., can do it, other businesses can do it, too.
It's time to permit people to receive the health care that Evers has shut down. He is denying millions of people their health care. How can anyone possibly think that's a good idea? This is the true health crisis in Wisconsin, not COVID-19. Any doctor, scientist, or other alleged expert promoting the "cure" we've adopted as a state and nation to deal with a virus that is only significantly life-threatening for specific groups of the population should be called to address the millions and millions of Americans being denied health care. It's a terribly reckless approach.
Why does Democrat Tony Evers want to ruin people's lives? Why is he ordering people into unemployment and bankruptcy? Poverty kills.
Evers and his fellow Democrats are willing to destroy the state and assist in destroying the country to hurt President Trump and Republicans. They are playing politics. They don't care about the damage they're doing.
We don't have to accept that. I'm done with rolling over. Time to resist "The Resistance."

SHARE:Badger Bounce Back - Evers Wants Wisconsin Closed For Business
Today we announced our Badger Bounce Back plan. This plan takes the steps Wisconsin needs to take to decrease #COVID19 cases and deaths and increase capacity in our healthcare system so that a phased reopening of businesses is possible and we can get people back to work. #Thread pic.twitter.com/NGumdKmpjz
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
In order to turn the dial on Safer at Home and supercharge the Badger Bounce Back, we must:
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
➡️Access more testing and labs
➡️Expand contact tracing
➡️Aggressively track the spread
➡️Access more #PPE and supplies
➡️Increase healthcare system capacity
As part of that plan the state will be working to increase access to more testing and expand lab capacity. Under the Badger Bounce Back plan, the goal is that everyone who needs a test gets a test.
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
Next, the state will be expanding contact tracing and more aggressively tracking the spread with the goal that every Wisconsinite who tests positive being interviewed within 24 hrs of receiving their test results and their contacts being interviewed within 48 hrs of test results.
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
Additionally, the state will continue to pursue every avenue to grow Wisconsin’s supply of personal protective equipment #PPE for healthcare and public safety entities to conduct COVID-19 testing, patient care, and public safety work.
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
Finally, the plan works to bolster healthcare system capacity where patients can be treated without crisis care and there are more robust testing programs in place for at-risk healthcare workers.
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
In tandem, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is laying the groundwork to get Wisconsin businesses back on their feet and workers back to work as soon as it is safe to do so. ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/J5cHRogzPl
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
Turning the dial through the Badger Bounce Back will get our state moving again and get people back to work. More importantly it will allow us to stay open once we re-open.
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
Wisconsinites have had to make enormous sacrifices to slow the spread of COVID-19, but we are resilient and we will bounce back. #BadgerBounceBack

More on our Badger Bounce Back plan is available here: https://t.co/7RS42lpS24
— Governor Tony Evers (@GovEvers) April 20, 2020
In sum, Evers wants to keep Wisconsinites out of work and under his tyrannical orders for as long as possible. He has no interest in helping the suffering citizens of Wisconsin.
Evers doesn't want us to have our lives back.
Given the models, given the data, given the science, given all that we've learned about the Wuhan Coronavirus, Evers' current draconian measures must be lifted on a reasonable timeline.
Evers is ignoring the science and misleading Wisconsinites.
This "Badger Bounce Back" plan is unreasonable.
Remember, Evers' loses his emergency powers after 60 days.
Also, thank the framers for our Constitution. Thank them for our Bill of Rights.
This pandemic does not permit the government to take away our liberty.

Tony Evers' Emergency Powers Last 60 Days
Gov. Tony Evers' emergency powers last 60 days. https://t.co/CB7qn4QatO
— FOX6 News (@fox6now) April 18, 2020
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is running out of time.
From FOX6 News:
Gov. Evers' powers run out on May 11, but the administration's new Safer at Home extension runs past that now -- to May 26. Now, state Republicans will challenge the extended order.Republicans should challenge Evers' demands.
"We are going to the Supreme Court," said State Sen. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills). "People are really desperate, we're losing jobs. There's so many people who file for unemployment. It's just very, very frightening. We have to get Wisconsin back to work."
While Gov. Evers' powers run out on May 11, the secretary of health services has separate powers with no defined time limit. Wisconsin law says the Department of Health Services "may close schools and forbid public gatherings in schools, churches, and other places to control outbreaks and epidemics."
Conservatives say, if there is no longer a public health emergency, then the DHS loses its legal foundation. They also bring up the constitutional protections for the right to assemble, free speech and religion.
Wisconsin can begin to reopen from Evers' economic and social shutdown without jeopardizing health.
Grocery stores and restaurants and pharmacies and other businesses have put measures in place to protect workers and customers.
We know it can be done.
We're able to make adjustments to keep people safe.
Evers isn't following the science. He's just following the orders of his Democrat leaders.
Truly sick.
Tony Evers Doesn't Follow the Science - Open Wisconsin
According to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Wisconsin could be ready to relax social distancing with containment strategies on MAY 18.

After May 18, 2020, relaxing social distancing may be possible with containment strategies that include testing, contact tracing, isolation, and limiting gathering size.
The blue shaded area indicates when Wisconsin is projected to be ready to implement a containment strategy, May 18.
As the following chart shows, Wisconsin's health care system is managing the Wuhan virus outbreak very well. There are no shortages of hospital beds, ICU beds, or ventilators.
Peak hospital resource use occurred on April 11.

According to the models, daily deaths in Wisconsin from the virus peaked 12 days ago.

Total deaths in Wisconsin from the Wuhan virus projected by August 4 is 302, down from 951 just a couple of weeks ago.
Tony Evers needs to follow the science.
Shutting down Wisconsin until after Memorial Day is NOT following the science.
