Put On a Tie, Hannity

A weeknight prime time host on a news network should wear a tie.

For decades, Sean Hannity wore a tie on TV. What changed? The light blue shirt and open collar doesn't cut it. Going without a tie makes him look less serious and professional.
Now, some of Hannity's guests are following suit. Even the likes of Newt Gingrich and Mike Pompeo are shedding their ties when they appear.
True, Hannity isn't dressed like a total slob, like John Fetterman. Still, I find the no-tie zone to be inappropriate. Wear a tie, Sean Hannity. This isn't radio.

Fox News Channel will debut a new primetime lineup on July 17, FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott announced on Monday.
"The Ingraham Angle" with Laura Ingraham will kick things off at 7 p.m. ET, followed by "Jesse Watters Primetime" shifting to 8 p.m. ET, "Hannity" will remain at 9 p.m. ET and "Gutfeld!" will begin at 10 p.m. ET.
"FOX News Channel has been America’s destination for news and analysis for more than 21 years and we are thrilled to debut a new lineup. The unique perspectives of Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, and Greg Gutfeld will ensure our viewers have access to unrivaled coverage from our best-in-class team for years to come," Scott announced.

It's a strong lineup, but not as strong as it was when Tucker Carlson was on the network. His departure caused a lot of bad blood with viewers. It was a terrible, terrible move.

I learned nothing new from the text messages leaked by Liz Cheney. Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham were clear about their thoughts on the January 6 Capitol breach. I recall Ingraham tweeting in real time that President Trump should make a statement.
Calling for President Trump to tell people to leave the Capitol doesn't mean he was responsible for organizing the breach or giving rioters marching orders. At least some of the organization and orders came from the FBI. I'd like to see their messages leaked.
Of course, Democrats and their operatives like Cheney want Americans to focus on their insurrection narrative. A much more pressing matter for the people is skyrocketing inflation. Every day, Biden is hurting Americans. What Hannity or Ingraham texted makes no difference when you're filling your tank or buying groceries or paying the heating bill.
