It is insane for Zohran Mamdani to be negotiating the release of Oscar Belgal, an illegal alien with a rap sheet including charges in New York for "robbery, grand larceny, theft armed with a deadly weapon, forcible theft, grand larceny in the fourth [degree], and property taken from a person, Class E felony." He was also involved in the shooting of a CBP officer.

Mamdani wants this criminal, violent gang member to be out on the streets, victimizing more people.

It is shameful.

Mr. Belgal has charges in New York for robbery, grand larceny, theft armed with a deadly weapon, forcible theft, grand larceny in the fourth [degree], and property taken from a person, Class E felony; on April 5, 2025, he was sentenced to five years of probation for that. We had a detainer on him, but he's now in custody after the actions that were taken yesterday by our ICE officers. Jian Zhao, and Li Tian, active-duty U.S. Army soldiers stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, along with Ruoyu Duan, a former U.S. Army soldier, were arrested today following indictments by federal grand juries in the District of Oregon and the Western District of Washington. Tian and Duan were charged in the District of Oregon for conspiring to commit bribery and theft of government property. Zhao was charged in the Western District of Washington for conspiring to obtain and transmit national defense information to an individual not authorized to receive it, and also for bribery and theft of government property.
