Fears, Concerns about Obama in Wisconsin

This video by Pierre Kattar for the Washington Post presents a view of Wisconsin that I don't recognize.

We're racists. I didn't know.

Actually, I'm insulted.

Kattar makes Wisconsin seem like John Murtha's racist, redneck district in Pennsylvania.

Some Wisconsin voters fear a possible Obama presidency. Others are concerned people won't vote for him because of his race.

The video's message: If Obama loses, it's because of the racism that permeates Wisconsin. If Obama wins, it's because the racists, the backward hicks, in Wisconsin didn't go to the polls in force.

Either way, the presidential race in Wisconsin is depicted as first and foremost about race. It will be decided based on racial attitudes.

Will fear win or will the racist Wisconsinites see the light, get past their prejudices, and vote for the right man, Obama?

Kattar puts John McCain in a no-win situation.
