The U.S. Senate campaign in Ohio has become very unpleasant. They've gone shirtless.
Yuck!
The Democrats are attacking Republican Rob Portman in an ad that is quite disturbing.
Video.
This ad is a response to an ad by the National Republican Senatorial Committee, featuring an image of Democrat Lee Fisher from the documentary Swing State. That film is by his son, Jason Zone Fisher. The segment of the shirtless Lee Fisher is truly bizarre and creepy overall. I don't know why his son included it in his documentary.
Here's the NRSC ad:
There's no question that this a weird ad, but obviously Lee Fisher didn't mind the revealing pose when it was in his son's documentary.
That's really weird.
Democrat candidates and supporters:
Please, keep your shirts on.

Ohio political ads: There's edgy, and then there's over the edge
Even though Fisher didn't mind the exposure in his son's documentary, the Republican ad did a poor job of utilizing the footage. It was out of line.
