Jim Sensenbrenner and Paul Ryan Endorse Scott Walker

Yesterday, Jim Sensenbrenner and Paul Ryan endorsed Scott Walker to be the Republican nominee for governor of Wisconsin.

From Scott Walker:

I wanted to share with you the latest from the campaign trail. Today I was humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of two of Wisconsin’s best public servants, Jim Sensenbrenner and Paul Ryan.

Jim and Paul have been good friends for many years, and along with Tom Petri, they represent the best of Wisconsin as we seek to take back our government at both the state and federal levels. I'm thankful for all of their endorsements.

See below for the announcement released today. Working together, we can put government back on the side of the people again!

Sincerely,
Scott

Here's the press release from the Walker campaign:
Wauwatosa – U.S. Representatives Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI-5) and Paul Ryan (R-WI-1) today joined the thousands of families across Wisconsin standing with Scott Walker and his campaign for governor.

“Scott Walker is my choice to be our next governor,” said Sensenbrenner. “Scott’s proven record of success in holding the line on taxes and spending is exactly what we need to get us out of the mess left by Jim Doyle. I’ve told Scott I’ll do whatever he needs to help him win in November, and I look forward to helping him spread his ‘Brown Bag Message’ across Wisconsin.”

“I’m joining Republicans across the state in endorsing Scott Walker because he'll get our state's fiscal house in order,” said Ryan. “Scott practices smart budgeting - he's reducing the debt and creating surpluses - and he knows we need less government spending and more job creation. I’m looking forward to not only calling Scott my friend, but my governor as well.”

“Paul and Jim are outstanding public servants, standing against the big taxing, big spending agenda in Washington and standing for Wisconsin families,” said Walker. “I’m proud to have their support, and the support of thousands of families across our state who are ready to take back their government.”

Scott Walker’s campaign continues to gain overwhelming support across Wisconsin. His grassroots organization is unmatched across the state and recent polls show Scott well ahead of both his primary and general election opponents. In May, Scott Walker received the endorsement of thousands of grassroots supporters at the GOP state convention with 91.3% of the vote.

Scott Walker has already been endorsed by former Congressman Mark Green, Congressman Tom Petri, 93% of state GOP legislators, and every past chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin.
