Scott Walker and Mitt Romney

From WBAY:

Republican Scott Walker's campaign for governor received a boost Monday from two high-profile politicians and a new statewide poll from St. Norbert College.

Monday afternoon, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney made a campaign stop for Walker in Milwaukee and then Walker had a meeting with Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal in Madison.

...Meanwhile, a poll released Monday by St. Norbert College in De Pere shows Walker with a nine-point lead over Barrett -- 50 to 41 percent.

Only six percent of respondents said they're not sure who they'll vote for in the governor's race November 2nd, while 86 percent said it's unlikely they would change their mind in the two weeks before the election.

Good news for Wisconsin!

Read Mitt Romney's comments in support of reformer Scott Walker:

Today, I was thrilled to be in Wisconsin supporting Scott Walker's campaign for governor.

Scott Walker’s history as a reformer and his record of nine straight budgets that put taxpayers first are proof that Wisconsin taxpayers will be lucky to have someone like Scott looking out for them in the capitol.

As governor of Massachusetts and a businessman, I know how important it is to elect leaders who know how to balance a budget. I’ve worked to bring jobs to my state and know that lower taxes and less government is the key to creating jobs.

Scott knows we can’t tax and spend our way to prosperity – we need to get government out of the way. Scott understands the need to lower taxes, cut red tape, and lower the litigation burden to get government out of the way of the job creating private sector.

...There are only 2 WEEKS LEFT to help Scott Walker win and end the job killing policies that are crippling Wisconsin businesses.

Two weeks from today we'll elect a new governor.

We have an opportunity to make a real difference in our state. We can move Wisconsin forward by getting government out of the way rather than expanding it and creating more dependents.

The difference between Scott Walker and Tom Barrett couldn't be more clear.

It's time to believe in Wisconsin again. We have the chance to end the job killing days of Jim Doyle and the Democrats.

Vote for Scott Walker.
