A week ago today, Tom Barett and Scott Walker participated in a town hall debate at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hall, Marquette University's law school.
It was moderated by Mike Gousha.
I watched the debate and commented that I was stunned when Barrett had the audacity to say that a scientist using EMBRYONIC stem cells is "doing the Lord's work."
Wisconsin Right to Life has a video highlighting that jaw-dropping comment from the Catholic Tom Barrett.
What an amazing choice of words! Barrett, as a Catholic, knows better than that. What a twisted, truly sick thing to say!
If Barrett doesn't believe in the sanctity of all human life, then I don't know how he can claim to be a practicing Catholic.
Listen carefully, Tom: DESTROYING EMBRYOS, HUMAN LIFE, IS NOT DOING THE LORD'S WORK.
During that October 15, 2010, debate, Barrett justified his support of EMBRYONIC stem cell research by saying that politicians should not be dictating what world-class scientists and doctors are doing.
That's inconsistent with his support of ObamaCare, the government's intrusion into the practice of medicine and our most personal health care decisions.
If you believe that politicians should not be dictating what world-class scientists and doctors are doing, then you do not want government-run health care.
