Romney Ad: Bill Clinton and Obama

Mitt Romney is the anti-John McCain. Romney is running a smart campaign.

When the Democrats take a shot, he fires back rather than dither and just back off.

Once again, reality is on the Republicans' side.

As President Bill Clinton took center stage at the Democratic National Convention, let's not forget what he said just four years ago about President Obama: "Give me a break."

The Weekly Standard offers the transcript of the ad.
VOICEOVER: “He’s a good soldier—helping his party’s president. But what did Bill Clinton say about Barack Obama in 2008?”

VIDEO TEXT: “What Did Clinton Say About Obama In 2008?”

PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: “Give me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.”

It should be noted that Bill was talking about Obama's opposition to the Iraq war.

In 2008, Bill's "fairy tale" comment was taken out of context by Obama and his campaign.

They played the race card on poor Bill, the REAL first black president.

Bill's history with Obama, and Michelle too, is complicated.

When liars interact it can get really messy.

Recall that Bill was livid with Obama and his team when they called him racist for his "fairy tale" remark.

I feel Bill's pain. Obama is ruthless. He's cold. He'll say anything for power.

Clinton certainly has done a dramatic about-face when it comes to Obama, but that's Bill.

I think it's good to keep reality in mind when one watches Bill's 2012 convention endorsement of the guy who shamelessly lied about him.

In 2008, Bill correctly identified Obama as a spinner of fairy tales.

We all know now that the truth is Obama's worst enemy.
