Jesse Jackson, Community Meeting in Oak Creek

Jesse Jackson?

Jesse Jackson in Oak Creek at the community meeting held in response to Wade Page's murderous rampage?

Good grief.

This horrible event is being exploited.

From FOX6 News:

Community members gathered Thursday night, August 9th to talk about the Sikh Temple shootings that killed six and critically wounded three. Thursday night’s discussion was moderated by U.S. Attorney James Santelle, and Rev. Jesse Jackson attended, among other leaders.

Sikh community members say it hasn’t been uncommon for them to experience discrimination on a smaller scale. Leaders, Sikh community members and members of the Oak Creek community at large discussed Thursday what can be done to stop future attacks and discrimination.

...Those in attendance Thursday questioned how violence against Sikhs can be stopped. They say they’ve been victims of smaller attacks for years.

Reverend Jesse Jackson was on hand to provide support, as well as Representative Mark Honadel.

“I’m here to listen — to learn what the Sikh community concerns are,” Honadel said.

Balwant Singh Hansra says the Sikh faith values openness and that’s why he says some temples are open 24 hours. Now, he questions whether more needs to be done to protect Sikhs and whether police need to be involved.

“This tragic thing is forcing us to re-evaluate. We don’t want to change or sacrifice our principles, but we need to evaluate,” Hansra said.

...Members of the panel didn’t have the answers to every question, but the consensus among Sikhs seemed to be that they want more community-wide education about the Sikh customs and faith.

The sad truth is many groups experience discrimination and are victimized on a small scale.

What happened last Sunday was horrific. The loss was enormous, and the grief crushing.

Blame Wade Page, the cold-blooded murderer, for his unspeakable crimes. He chose to kill innocents.

No responsible citizen, no decent human being thinks what he did was acceptable.

The overwhelming majority of people in Oak Creek and the surrounding area show respect for Sikhs. There's been an outpouring of sympathy, concern, and support for the Sikh community.

It's not fair to cast aspersions on the southeastern Wisconsin community as a whole, suggesting that intolerance is a problem.

I'm not saying the meeting on Thursday was unnecessary. I think it's great to learn about others' faiths. It's great for members of different faiths to come together, with mutual respect.

I just think we need some perspective. What Page did was not sanctioned by our community. His actions were evil, and thankfully, extremely rare. Our society doesn't accept such behavior.

We don't need Jesse Jackson here.

Must this become a politicized media circus?

When is Gloria Allred going to show up?

I don't like the exploitation.

Sharon Bialek and Bill Kurtis

CBS anchor Bill Kurtis shared some information on Herman Cain accuser Sharon Bialek that isn't being covered in the mainstream media.

Kurtis made the comments on Monday's Roe & Roeper on WLS radio.

Listen to the full discussion.

Here's a clip, from Mark Levin:

Kurtis states that Bialek, former CBS employee, has a "track record."

Kurtis says:

"A lot of people know her, and she has a history."

"There's a lot more to the story, and it really is just developing."

"I'm looking at Sharon Bialek, and she speaks well. She's attractive. She has the lock of blonde hair sweeping down over one of her eyes... Herman's dead. It's over. The story is done. And she has details, and of course, they're just up to the edge. 'And he grabbed my head and pushed it down.' And then I arrived in the elevator at work, and I hear very quickly a different kind of story. And I really haven't confirmed it so I don't want Gloria [Allred] to come after me. But I can assure you that there will be far more to the story."

"Let's put Herman and Sharon in the car at the same time, and the roles may even have been reversed, given the track record here."

Very interesting.

Sharon Bialek (Video)

Sharon Bialek, registered Republican, spouted some rather explosive allegations against Herman Cain in her press conference with Gloria Allred.

GLORIA ALLRED: Instead of receiving the help that [Sharon Bialek] had hoped for [in finding a job], Mr. Cain instead decided to provide her with his idea of a 'stimulus package,' which she will describe.

Good grief.

Way to make the accusation by her client seem legitimate!

Allred doesn't mind being a joke, literally.

From Business Insider:
Bialek said that she met Mr. Cain during a conference for the National Restaurant Association when she worked for the NRA's education foundation in Chicago during 1996. Says Cain invited her and her boyfriend to a private party in his hotel suite.

She was fired from the NRA soon after, apparently for not raising enough money for the foundation. She said that, at the suggestion of her boyfriend, arranged a meeting with Mr. Cain in Washington to talk about her future with the NRA.

She says Cain hooked her up with a "palatial suite" in Washington, D.C. Cain told her later that he had arranged for the "upgrade."

Bialek says Cain took her to the NRA offices — she thought they were going inside, but Cain reached under her skirt to grab her genitals and tried to force her head down to his crotch. She says she said: "What are you doing? That's not what I came here for." To which she alleges Cain responded "You want a job don't you?"

Bialek says she didn't file a complaint because she didn't work for the NRA.

This is a total "he said, she said" situation.

There's no official record of Bialek's story. She didn't file any complaint or tell anyone details of the incident at the time, not even her boyfriend.

That's weird.

SHARON BIALEK: I didn't tell them the details because, quite frankly, I was very embarrassed that Mr. Cain had been sexually inapproproiate to me.

I don't buy Bialek's reason for not telling her boyfriend what happened.

Why be embarrassed that she suffered this alleged abuse by Cain? I don't believe she wouldn't confide in someone as close to her as her boyfriend.

...Allred won't let the press ask Bialek any questions, and says Bialek is not filing any claim against Cain or the NRA. She adds that Bialek approched her, but is not interested in selling her story.

Bialek approached Allred.

That's very, very telling.

Here's video of the press conference:

More on Sharon Bialek, from ABC7 Chicago:

Bialek has an awful employment history and has had money problems. She's had bankruptcy filings. When her son was born in 1999, a paternity lawsuit was filed by the father, a media executive. Quite a mess.

She seems very unstable.

That ABC7 interview with Bialek's current fiance, Mark Harwood, is weird. We learn that her fiance just found out about the alleged Herman Cain incident a few days ago himself.

What is with Bialek withholding information about significant occurrences in her life from those close to her?

It's not normal.

There are a lot of red flags here.

Gloria Allred and Herman Cain Scandal

UPDATE: Video of the Gloria Allred press conference with Herman Cain accuser Sharon Bialek.

GLORIA ALLRED: Instead of receiving the help that [Sharon Bialek] had hoped for [in finding a job], Mr. Cain instead decided to provide her with his idea of a 'stimulus package,' which she will describe.

The legal profession as a whole should cringe when Allred steps to a microphone.
________________

This was inevitable.

On November 1st, I predicted it.

I suppose Gloria Allred is going nuts trying to find the accusers.

It was a simple prediction to nail.

Of course, Gloria Allred would insert herself into the story.

I knew she'd sniff out a Herman Cain accuser or one would find her.

She has quite a highlight reel.

Recall her infamous Anthony Weiner "package" press conference, with former porn star Ginger Lee.

That prompted Jay Leno to include this in his monologue:
JAY LENO: Well, the evidence just kept mounting against [Weiner]. It was unbelievable. You probably heard of this. A former porn star, an actress who exchanged e-mails with Weiner, held a press conference with her lawyer, Gloria Allred. Did you see this yesterday? And the porn star said that Weiner often steered the conversation toward sex.

You know, I don't want to defend the Congressman, but SHE'S A PORN STAR! What are you going to talk about? The debt ceiling? Hello? Maybe get a three way with Jenna Jameson on the crisis in Libya. Can we do that possibly?

And did you see this? Gloria Allred... she was reading Weiner's sex messages out loud. And, you know, typical lawyer, now she's trying to make a buck on it. Look at this:

Cain: 'Harassment' Details (Video)

Last night on On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, Herman Cain discussed details of his side of the story regarding the sexual harassment charges reported by Politico.

The allegations are still just anonymous. No woman has come forward to publicly accuse Cain.

Here's the interview:

I suppose Gloria Allred is going nuts trying to find the accusers.

Leno: Weiner Jokes, June 16

JAY LENO: Some good news: We will not be getting anymore junk mail from Congressman Anthony Weiner. Anthony Weiner announced today he is stepping down. I guess he finally realized he couldn't stick it out any longer.

So if you live in New York now, you're only left with one disgraced congressman representing you - Charles Rangel. So you only have the one disgraced guy.

Well, you know, he had to step down. You know, he sent those naked pictures of himself. And there were clues, there were clues. I think in his home life, too. Did you seen him when he stepped down today he was talking about his parents? Here, take a look.

It all starts at home.

The good news is they already found a replacement for Anthony Weiner. The bad news: It's Brett Favre. It doesn't stop!

Well, a new poll showed that 70 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view, unfavorable view of Anthony Weiner. To which Weiner said, 'Really? How about this view? Or this one?' A number of views.

Well, the evidence just kept mounting against him.

Anyway, Anthony Weiner still has to send in an official letter of resignation. In fact, he asked today, 'Can I text the letter?' They said, 'No, no, just regular is fine.'

And to make matters worse, new photos surfaced this week showing Anthony Weiner in a bra and pantyhose. Did you hear about his? Apparently, these cross-dressing photos were taken back in college.

You know, if we could put him in a French maid outfit and hook him up with Arnold Schwarzenegger, it would be the greatest joke day in the history of America.

Ginger Lee, Gloria Allred, and Weiner (Video)

Ginger Lee and her attorney, Gloria Allred, concluded a press conference a few minutes ago. The media were called to hear about Lee's relationship with DEMOCRAT Anthony Weiner.

It was a typical Allred event - not very newsworthy.

From the Associated Press:

A former porn actress who said she exchanged emails and messages over Twitter with New York Rep. Anthony Weiner said Wednesday that he asked her to lie about their online communications.

Ginger Lee said she and Weiner exchanged about 100 emails between March and June, beginning after Lee posted a supportive statement about the congressman on her blog. She said they mostly discussed politics, but he would often turn the conversation to sex.

"'I have wardrobe demands too. I need to highlight my package,'" Weiner wrote Lee, in an email read aloud at the news conference by Lee's attorney, Gloria Allred.

Weiner acknowledged last week that he had sent lewd photos and texts to women after a photo of his crotch was posted on Twitter. In an interview two weeks ago, he acknowledged that he had exchanged messages with Lee but didn't elaborate.

Lee said she did not send sexually suggestive messages to Weiner.

"Anytime that he would take our communications in a sexual direction, I did not reciprocate," she said.

Weiner sent Lee an email in early June after the photo of his crotch was sent out on his Twitter account, and "he asked me to lie" about their contact, she said.

Lee said she put out a three-sentence statement on the matter at his request. She did not elaborate but said she was coming forward now to tell the truth and to deny reports that she was in an online sexual relationship with him.

Here's more, from TMZ:
Lee and her attorney, Gloria Allred, repeated some of the information TMZ broke last week ... that Weiner sent her an email after the scandal broke, telling her how to lie about her relationship with him.

Allred read some of the emails Weiner sent Lee, including, "Alright, my package and I are not going to beg. We both see the harzard of going down the path of comparative sexiness."

Another read, "You aren't giving my package due credit." Allred says Lee was a supporter of Weiner's, particularly on the subjects of health care and planned parenthood.

Good grief.

DEMOCRAT Weiner needs to resign.

The longer this scandal lingers, the worse it is for the Democrats.

SNL: Gloria Allred

Nasim Pedrad portrayed Gloria Allred in the opening of the October 9th episode of Saturday Night Live.

Transcript

GLORIA ALLRED (Nasim Pedrad): Hello, and welcome to this addition of Ask Gloria Allred. I'm Gloria Allred.

This week, many of you have written or e-mailed to congratulate me on my recent press conference with Nicky Diaz. Nicky is the undocumented worker from Mexico who was employed by Meg Whitman, currently the Republican candidate for governor of California as a housekeeper.

While working for the Whitmans, Nicky suffered continuous emotional abuse and was forced to perform a series of horrendous and degrading tasks, from sorting and washing laundry to vacuuming carpets and dusting venetian blinds, all under the threat that if she did not perform these sickening acts they would not pay her.

It is a heart-wrenching story and many of you thanked me for bringing it to the nation's attention. But some have questions.

For example, Paul from Indianapolis asks:

'As her attorney, how could you let Ms. Diaz announce on television that she is in the country illegally? Because of your reckless attention-seeking, won't she be arrested and deported?'

That's a good question, Paul. I hadn't really thought about it. I'm going to recommend that Nicky hire a good immigration lawyer.

Karen from Boston asks:

'I saw your latest freak-show press conference with Ms. Diaz, and I have to ask: Is there anything you won't do to push your butt-ugly mug in front of a camera?'

Another good question, Karen. I have to think about that, but I guess my answer would be no.

Steven from New Orleans asks:

'Why do you talk so loud? Or does it just seem that way, because your manner is so grating?'

Probably a bit of both, Steven. I'm naturally a very pushy person and find that by talking loudly people are forced to listen to me even if they would prefer not to.

Kevin from Fort Collins, Colorado asks:

'Tell me, Gloria. Has a more disgusting creature than yourself ever walked the face of the earth?'

Wow. A lot of good questions tonight. I don't know the answer, Kevin. I suppose since man in his present form has been around for about 250,000 years there must have been somebody, but I really can't say for sure.

Denise from Nashville asks:

'When you die, Gloria, and you go instantly to Hell, which I think we can all agree will absolutely happen -- will you just burn with all the other ambulance-chasers who spent their lives bringing misery into the world, or will there be a special ring or level of Hell just for you?'

Oh my, Denise, that is such a profound question! Who knows? All I can say is I sincerely hope so. That would be nice.

Well, that's it for tonight's show. We'll see you next week. Until then, please pay attention to me, and Live from New York, it's Saturday Night.

Video.

The country is deeply divided, but I think we can find common ground here.

Jerry Brown, Meg Whitman, 'Whore'

Jerry Brown will say anything and do anything to be elected governor of California.

According to a tape released to the Los Angeles Times by the Los Angeles police union, Brown and members of his campaign have no problem with the term "whore" being used to describe Brown's opponent, Meg Whitman.

Listen to this audio.

A Brown associate calls his Republican opponent Meg Whitman a whore.

From FOX News:

In a private conversation captured on audiotape, California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown or one of his aides can be heard referring to Republican rival Meg Whitman as a "whore," the Los Angeles Times reported late Thursday.

The exchange, recorded by a voicemail, discussed Whitman cutting a deal to protect law enforcement pensions as the candidates competed for endorsements from police, the L.A. Times said.

In an audio recording available on the L.A. Times blog PolitiCal, Brown can be heard leaving a voice message for Scott Rate, a union official for the Los Angeles Police Protective League.

After asking Rate for the league’s endorsement, Brown says ‘thanks’ and hangs up the phone, but the call doesn’t end.

Instead, the message continues to record and Brown can be heard talking about the situation with his aides.

After Brown discusses his frustration with Whitman potentially cutting a deal for several seconds, another voice interjects saying, “What about saying that she’s a whore?”

“Well I’m going to use that,” Brown replies. “It proves you’ve cut a secret deal to protect the pensions.”

...A Brown campaign spokesman confirmed the tape’s authenticity, but “said that Brown was responding to the notion of accusing Whitman of cutting a deal to gain endorsements, not to the use of the word ‘whore,’” the L.A. Times said.

Whitman campaign spokesman Sarah Pompei released a response to reports of the recording late Thursday.

"The use of the term 'whore' is an insult to both Meg Whitman and to the women of California. This is an appalling and unforgivable smear against Meg Whitman. At the very least Mr. Brown tacitly approved this despicable slur and he himself may have used the term at least once on this recording," Pompei said.

To me, it sounds like Brown himself can be heard calling Whitman a whore.

Without a doubt, a member of Brown's camp refers to Whitman in that extremely disparaging manner. Without a doubt, Brown does not reprimand the individual.

That alone is inexcusable.

I agree with Sarah Pompei that Brown has insulted Whitman as well as women in general. His complete lack of respect for Whitman and women is really disturbing.

I think Brown should apologize immediately. If not, this will snowball. It would be better for him to issue a statement expressing his sincere regret than to ignore the matter. I don't think it will go away.

The tape is out there.

How much uglier can this campaign get?

This whore stuff really is an outrage.

I think Gloria Allred should represent Meg Whitman.

_____________

Here's more, from KCAL:

"A transcript of the conversation authorized by the LA Police Protective League and transcribed by a registered court reporter identifies the voice that said the word "whore" as "J.B." for Jerry Brown."

Will the National Organization for Women and other women's groups condemn Brown?

That's highly unlikely.

_____________

UPDATE, October 11, 2010: Source: Brown's wife called Whitman a 'whore'
Fox News is claiming it has sources whom have identified the person in Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown's campaign who called Republican challenger Meg Whitman a "whore."

The comment was accidentally recorded on voice mail after Brown thought he hung up the phone after leaving a message for the Los Angeles Police Union.

Fox News says people with knowledge of what happened say it was Brown's wife who suggested calling Whitman a "whore," for cutting a deal to get the union's endorsement.

...The Fox News source notes that Brown's wife, Anne, is a former executive at The Gap and can't exactly be fired from the campaign.

Meg Whitman and Nicandra Diaz Santillan

On Mark Levin's radio program yesterday, Gloria Allred agreed to go on the air live to address the supposedly explosive revelation that Meg Whitman, candidate for governor of California, employed her client, Nicandra "Nicky" Diaz Santillan, an illegal alien.

Allred must be regretting that decision. She was trounced by Levin.

Here's audio.

The Democrats and Jerry Brown's campaign had to be scrambling after Levin's smackdown and that pathetic performance by Allred.

Oh, the humanity!

From the San Francisco Chronicle:

Whether or not Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman received a letter from the Social Security Administration saying her former housekeeper's false documents did not match its records, Whitman did not act unlawfully by keeping the housekeeper employed, immigration lawyers said Thursday.

In fact, had she gone ahead and fired Nicandra Diaz Santillan based on such a letter, she would have exposed herself to potential anti-discrimination violations, lawyers said.

Whitman says she wasn't aware of receiving a "no-match" letter.

Lawyers said an employer's obligation upon receiving a no-match letter from the Social Security Administration is to check their own records for typographical or other errors, inform the employee that the records do not match and tell the employee to correct them.

"There is no additional legal obligation for an employer to follow up or respond to SSA with new information," said Gening Liao, a labor and employment attorney at the National Immigration Law Center in Los Angeles, which defends immigrants.

Liao added that it is "very important that the employer does not take adverse action against the employee" merely based on a letter from Social Security.

...Had Whitman questioned Diaz's legal status after Diaz presented documents when she was hired, Whitman again would have exposed herself to discrimination violations.

"Not only is (accepting the documents) all the law required her to do, but there's a counterbalancing anti-discrimination law that keeps her from probing further or demanding different documents," said Crystal Williams, executive director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association in Washington.

This "scandal" certainly backfired on the Jerry Brown campaign.

Kalika Moquin

Who's Kalika Moquin?

She's Tiger Woods' mistress #3, allegedly. She's the third to come forward, not necessarily the third chronologically.

From TMZ:

The third woman who reportedly hooked up with Tiger Woods had no idea who the incredibly famous golfer was when she first met him, this according to sources close to the situation.

...Our sources say one of Kalika's friends tipped her off to the obvious ... and she eventually started hooking up with Tiger.

Kalika is now a PR manager for a number of hotspots in Vegas ... where Tiger is quite fond of the club scene.

This is probably going to be a rough day for Tiger.

Rachel Uchitel, mistress #1, and her lawyer, Gloria Allred, are holding a news conference today.

From TMZ:
Rachel Uchitel has publicly denied she had sexual relations with Tiger Woods, but we've learned she has said she did indeed have an affair with the golfer. And, we're told it was her -- not Jaimee Grubbs -- who caused an argument between Tiger and his wife, Elin Nordegren, that immediately preceded Tiger's SUV crash.

...Sources say less than an hour before Tiger's accident, Rachel and Tiger were texting each other. Elin confronted Tiger and asked whom he was texting. She grabbed the phone and we're told she called Rachel to confront her. According to sources, Tiger and Elin began arguing and the phone broke in the process.

We're also told there was damage as a result of the altercation in the vestibule area of Tiger's home -- damage that cannot be easily repaired, and that is why Tiger would not let police come in.

Uchitel's lawyer, Gloria Allred, will hold a news conference today at 11:30 AM PT with Uchitel present.

I'd like to know TMZ's sources. How do they do it?

This whole Tiger Woods saga is really a circus. It has snowballed out of control.

A tell-tale sign of that is the presence of Allred.

Woods certainly isn't getting the privacy he so desperately wants and believes he deserves.

Woods is like the poor little rich boy. He has everything but he has nothing.

____________________

Gloria Allred cancelled today's scheduled news conference.

From the New York Daily News:

The New York party girl linked to Tiger Woods abruptly cancelled a Thursday press conference where she was expected to dish on their reported dalliances.

Rachel Uchitel's celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred said in a statement they pulled the plug on the presser "due to unforeseen circumstances."

Asked if there are plans to reschedule, Allred told a Daily News reporter, "No comment."

They're probably in negotiations with Woods.

I wonder how much Uchitel is going to get to keep quiet.
