Notre Dame ISIS Attack: 'This Is For Syria'

This should not be the scene inside Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, people locked inside with their hands up because an Islamist has attacked a police officer with a hammer outside.

Hands up, don't shoot.

Years of appeasing and permitting radicalism to spread hasn't worked.

Karim Cheurfi - Paris Terror Attack

From USA Today:

Police have searched a home in the Paris suburb of Chelles after Thursday's terror attack that left one police officer dead and two other people wounded.

Authorities believe the residence east of Paris that is home to Karim Cheurfi, 39, is linked to the shooting that took place on the Champs-Elysees, the Associated Press reported.

Cheurfi has a police record and is known to authorities, according to the Associated Press and CNN.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the shooting in which the assailant died in the exchange of gunfire.

...The Islamic State identified the attacker as Abu Yusuf al-Beljiki through its Amaq news agency, according to SITE Intel Group, a U.S.-based organization that monitors terrorists' activity online.

Paris police spokeswoman Johanna Primevert initially told the AP that the gunman deliberately targeted police on guard near the Franklin Roosevelt subway station, and appeared to act alone. On Thursday evening, the Telegraph reported that police in Paris issued an arrest warrant for a second suspect who arrived by train from Belgium.
It's sad that this won't be the last attack.

I wouldn't want to go to France.

Over 230 people have been killed in France in terror attacks since 2015. More than 800 people have been wounded.

When are French citizens going to demand action?

ISIS Video: Worse Attacks Coming

From FOX News:

A video released on Wednesday by ISIS praises the recent attacks in Paris, while using previous footage of a suicide bomber preparing to attack New York City's Times Square.

The video, released by ISIS’s media arm the Furat Media Center, features several men, some speaking in Arabic and French, congratulating ISIS over the Paris attacks and promising that terror group will prevail.

...Before showing scenes of New York's Times Square, an ISIS militant is pictured saying that the attacks in Paris were just the beginning.

...The video ends with a message on screen that reads "and what is to come will be worse and more bitter."
Don't worry.

Obama says ISIS is contained. He's focusing on bashing Republicans. Business as usual.

Terrorism.

What, me worry?

John Kerry: Hebdo Terrorists' Rationale

There's a nuance that John Kerry wants us to understand.

The Islamists responsible for the terrorism of the Charlie Hebdo attacks had a "rationale," according to Kerry.

From CNN:

Secretary of State John Kerry drew a distinction Tuesday between the two terror attacks in Paris this year, saying the terrorists who attacked the Charlie Hebdo office in January had a "rationale" as opposed to Friday's events which Kerry described as "indiscriminate" violence.

"There's something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that. There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of -- not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, 'OK, they're really angry because of this and that,'" Kerry said during remarks at the U.S. Embassy in Paris.

"This Friday was absolutely indiscriminate. It wasn't to aggrieve one particular sense of wrong. It was to terrorize people. It was to attack everything that we do stand for. That's not an exaggeration," Kerry added.
Good grief.

Kerry should resign. He's a disgrace.

This kind of stuff shows how critical it is for us to get the Leftists in the U.S. federal government out of power.

It is not OK to permit the Democrats to continue their reign, and that will happen if intelligent people decide to sit out Election 2016.

Turkish Soccer Fans Boo Minute of Silence

From The Blaze:

A moment of silence for the victims of the Paris attacks was booed by Turkish fans Tuesday during a friendly game against Greece, Reuters reported.

Reuters reporter Ece Toksabay tweeted that the fans booed the minute of silence before breaking out into a chant of “Allah Akbar.”

So, John Kerry, do these Turkish fans have a rationale for their behavior?

Sick.

Refugee Screening Question

If a refugee answers that he or she would refuse to bake such a cake, then obviously that individual doesn't belong, right? That person would not fit in here. To use Obama's words, "That's not American. It's not who we are."

Why are Christians bashed by Leftists and belittled for their beliefs but terrorists or those sympathizing with terrorists' "religious" values are embraced?

Do we really want to welcome people to the country who believe it's appropriate to throw gays off of rooftops?

Is that compassionate? Is that "who we are"?

ISIS: Self-identifying as Islamic

The Leftists insist that ISIS, the ISLAMIC State of Iraq and Syria, has nothing to do with Islam.

That's not true.

It's naive to pretend there's no connection.

Admitting the connection is not to say all Muslims are terrorists or condone violence.

We shouldn't be afraid to acknowledge the reality that ISIS "self-identifies" as Islamic.

Biden: 'We Will Never Bow'

"We will never bow"?

Really poor choice of words.

Paris Terrorist Attacks: 'Allahu Akbar'

So, according to Obama, ISIS is contained.

Really? CONTAINED?

Tell that to the loved ones of those slaughtered in Paris by Islamic terrorists.

Friday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” President Barack Obama seemingly downplayed the threat of ISIS in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that aired on Friday’s broadcast of “Good Morning America.”

Stephanopoulos asked Obama if ISIS was gaining in strength, to which Obama denied they were.

“I don’t think they’re gaining strength,” Obama responded. “What is true is that from the start, our goal has been first to contain and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq, and in Syria they’ll come in, they’ll leave, but you don’t see this systemic march by ISIL across the terrain.”
Obama is clueless.

It's bad for the world when the American president is weak.

It's bad having a president that is afraid to identify the enemy.

From Andrew McCarthy:

Fox just reported, relying on French news sources, that the terrorists carrying out the attack screamed, “This is for Syria” and the signature jihadist cry of “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is greater).
We know the enemy well.

From the Associated Press:

If only someone other than the terrorists had been armed in that concert hall, perhaps some lives would have been spared, perhaps dozens.

Gwen Moore Waves Pencil

Wow.

Gwen Moore waved a pencil during Obama's State of the Union address.

How brave!

Nothing sends a louder message to Islamists than waving a pencil.

From FOX News:
A Democratic congresswoman showed solidarity with the victims of the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris earlier this month after President Obama referenced the deadly terror attacks during his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis., held up a pencil when Obama referenced the attack in his speech. The pencil has emerged as a symbol of free speech in the face of Islamist terror that seeks to quell criticism or mockery of the Prophet Muhammad, a frequent target of the satirical magazine.

"Rather than divide and intimidate us, these brazen and barbaric attacks have united the international community and prompted a global response in defense of the freedom of expression," Moore's office said in a statement. "The congresswoman believes that this is unique opportunity to join our global partners in showing our collective support and solidarity."
Obama talked about terrorism in his speech, but he managed to avoid saying anything about radical Islam.

He said "ISIL" twice, stating that the U.S. is "stopping ISIL's advance."

Really?

This is why, for the second straight year, I didn't watch Obama and his State of the Union performance.

I don't like it when he lies to me.

John Kerry, James Taylor in Paris

"You've Got a Friend"?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Oh, my God.

This has to be one of the Obama administration's most hilarious and simultaneously insulting moves on the world stage.

What a display of American power and resolve!

The Islamists must me shaking in their little terrorist boots.

How embarrassing!

Pope Francis: Punch a Guy For Insulting His Mother

Pope Francis would hit someone if that person cursed his mother? Really?

Is anyone else beginning to think of Pope Francis as the Church's Joe Biden?

From CNSNews:

Pope Francis began his visit to Asia's largest Catholic nation Thursday with a provocative statement about one of Europe's largest Catholic nations: Referring to the Paris attacks, Francis said there are limits to freedom of expression, especially when it insults or ridicules someone's faith.

...Francis defended freedom of speech as a fundamental right, and even a duty to speak out for the common good. But he said there were limits to free speech, especially when confronting another equally fundamental human right: the freedom of religion.

By way of example, he referred to Alberto Gasbarri, who organizes papal trips and was standing by his side aboard the papal plane.

"If my good friend Dr. Gasbarri says a curse word against my mother, he can expect a punch," Francis said jokingly, throwing a pretend punch his way. "It's normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others."

He by no means said the violent attack on Charlie Hebdo was justified. Quite the opposite, he said such horrific violence in God's name couldn't be justified and was an "aberration." But he said a reaction of some kind was to be expected.
Video:

Of course, there are limits to free speech, the old "shouting fire in a crowded theater" example.

I would expect the Pope to suggest people "Do to others as you would have them do to you."

I don't expect the Pope to say he'd punch a guy if he cursed his mother.

Is the Pope really that lacking in self-control? Come on. What about turning the other cheek?

It sounds as if the Pope doesn't think people are very capable of acting like Jesus, as if living the Gospel is expecting too much.

Take note, little Catholic kids. Punch your brother when he takes your toy and tell your mom and dad that the Pope says it's normal. It's OK.

Weird.

The right thing to do is to not be cruel and to not insult someone. But I certainly believe people have the right to be free to say what they want without fear of being KILLED!

Ridiculing someone, even about one's faith, is not the same as taking a life.

Islamic terrorism is most definitely not normal, civilized human behavior. It's not a normal reaction to a cartoon.

In terms of reaction, I'm sure the 17 slaughtered by the Islamists in Paris would have preferred being punched. Some of those killed in the Paris attacks were just bystanders, totally innocent.

I'm praying for Pope Francis. May God give the Holy Father the strength and wisdom to speak more like Jesus and less like Joe Biden.

CNN Refuses to Show Cover of Charlie Hedbo

"CNN will not show you the new cover, which depicts the Prophet Muhammad, because it is our policy not to show potentially offensive images of the prophet."

CNN employs a different standard when it comes to offending Catholics and Christians. CNN has an "open season" policy when it comes to showing offensive images of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and Mary, the Mother of God.

Two images that are certainly "potentially offensive" to Christians are currently on CNN's website.

In a gallery of "10 works of art that shocked the world," CNN displays Piss Christ, an image of a crucifix submerged in the artist's urine, and The Holy Virgin Mary, an image of Mary, Mother of God, surrounded by cut-outs from porn magazines and elephant dung.

Read CNN's captions to the offensive images of the crucified Jesus and Mary.

Of course, no images of "the prophet" are included. That would violate CNN's policy.

Jon Stewart: Obama Absence, Paris Rally (Video)

Not all Leftists are happy with the way Obama has handled the aftermath of the Islamist terror attack at the Charlie Hedbo offices in Paris.

Here's Jon Stewart's reaction to the French Unity Rally and the lack of presence by the U.S., beginning at about 3:42:

JON STEWART: How could Obama not be there??? Look how many world leaders he could have bowed down to and apologized! He missed an opportunity.

How could the U.S. not be there, when representatives of such beacons of freedom and lack of censorhip as journalist-punishing Russia was there? Journalist-jailing Turkey was there. Egypt - 'nough said. Palestinian cartoonist-jailing Israel was there. And of course, our greatest ally, Saudi Arabia was there, although a little out of breath, having just days ago flogged a blogger.

Couldn't Obama have at least sent a friend?

...

OK. All right. There you go. All right, I'm sorry. I jumped to conclusions. Eric Holder, the top law official in the United States, our attorney general -- I mean, come on, France. Holder's not good enough for you? You guys are only happy with 'Le Grand Fromage'?

...

What the f---???

Eric Holder, you were in France, in Paris, at the time of the march, and were like [Looks at his watch], heh. Oh, I get it. You were probably taking advantage of the shortest tourist lines in French history. While the march is going on, you're just kicking back, snapping selfies with the Mona Lisa.

...

Unbelievable! An enormous global rally in supporting freedom of expression after an attack on a close ally, and the U.S. was a no-show???

Obama Snubs Paris Rally

Once again, Obama and his administration screw up on the world stage.

Once again, Obama is "leading from behind."

From Reuters:
The absence of President Barack Obama or any top members of his administration from a huge march in Paris on Sunday to honor victims of Islamist militant attacks raised eyebrows among some in the U.S. media.

French President Francois Hollande and some 44 foreign dignitaries, including leaders from Germany, Italy, Britain, Turkey, Israel and the Palestinian territories, headed more than a million people in what commentators said was the largest crowd in Paris since its liberation from Nazi Germany in 1944.

...The United States was represented at Sunday's march by its ambassador to France, Jane Hartley. But commentators on some U.S. media outlets questioned why Obama did not attend or send a top administration official such as Vice President Joe Biden or Secretary of State John Kerry.

...The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
It wasn't just U.S. media outlets pointing out Obama's snub.

From the U.K. Daily Mail:
America snubs historic Paris rally: Holder was there but skipped out early, Kerry was in India, Obama and Biden just stayed home

President Barack Obama and other top members of his administration have snubbed a historic rally in Paris today that brought together more than 40 world leaders from Europe, Africa, the Middle East and even Russia.

'France is our oldest ally,' Obama said during a speech Friday in Tennessee. 'I want the people of France to know that the United States stands with you today, stands with you tomorrow.'

But he wasn't standing in Paris as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas put aside their differences and linked arms.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov made the same unifying gesture in the march down the Place de la Concorde in defiance of the Islamist terror attacks that rocked the city last week.

According to an administration official, President Obama spent part of his Sunday afternoon watching a National Football League game on television. Both games were broadcast hours after the march.
At the very least, Joe Biden should have been there to join with the WORLD and participate in this historic march.

Maybe today Michelle will post something on Twitter, to convey how seriously the Obama administration takes the Islamist terror attacks in Paris.

Something like this:

Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi: Killed

Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi

I'm sure there are millions and millions of Muslims who believe that Cherif Kouachi and Said Kouachi died today as martyrs.

I hope there are more Muslims who believe that they were terrorists and committed immoral acts.

From FOX News:

Near-simultaneous raids by French police Friday evening at locations 25 miles apart took out the Islamist brothers behind Wednesday's massacre at a Paris satirical magazine, and a cop-killing ally who had seized hostages at a Paris grocery, demanding police free his jihadist cronies.

The lightning-quick strikes ended two tense, hours-long standoffs, one at a printing plant north of the city and the other at a kosher supermarket on Paris' east side. A hostage held by the brothers, who killed 12 in a commando-style attack at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, was reportedly freed, and early reports said the police raid in Paris was "successful." The fast-moving developments, signaled by explosions and gunfire at a printing plant in Dammartin-en-Goele, followed by similar sounds at Hypercacher (Hyper Kosher), a Jewish supermarket in eastern Paris, brought to a climax a three-day terror ordeal and manhunt involving nearly 90,000 police and military personnel.

Cherif and Said Kouachi, the radicalized French-born slackers whose attack on Charlie Hebdo left two police officers among the dozen dead, were both killed in the first raid. The brothers, 32 and 34, respectively, are believed to have ties to Al Qaeda in Yemen, and military experts who viewed footage of their bloody, late-morning raid on Wednesday said they appeared to be well-trained terrorists. Charlie Hebdo had long angered Muslim radicals with its penchant for publishing cartoon images of Prophet Muhammed.

In Paris, police said Amedy Coulibaly, who is believed to have know the brothers and was suspected of killing Paris Police Officer Clarissa Jean-Philippe Thursday, as she attended to a routine traffic accident in the city, was killed in a raid moments later, ending his supermarket siege. Police had identified him and his longtime girlfriend, Hayat Boumeddiene, as suspects, but her whereabouts were not immediately known.

Coulibaly, 33, and Cherif Kouachi were committed followers of convicted terror kingpin Djamel Beghal, according to Le Monde.
It's a victory every time the free world gets rid of Islamist terrorists.

With Cherif and Said Kouachi dead, free people are safer.

But--

There is an army of other Islamists intending to do what Cherif and Said Kouachi did.

Time to start looking at violence done in the name of Allah for what it is - WAR.

Time for all those peace-loving Muslims we're told are in the majority to declare war on Islamists, to speak out loud and clear against Islamists.

All civilized people should have zero tolerance for the Islamist militants.

There should be no fear to label these religious fanatics for what they are - EVIL.

MSNBC: Charlie Hedbo Attack and Jerry Falwell

I expect Leftists to say positively absurd things. It's what they do.

Still, it is disturbing to witness a total break from reality. You would think that after something as horrific and barbaric as the terrorist attack in Paris by Islamists, after the gunmen killed 12 people in cold blood, you'd think that even Leftists would grasp the nature of that evil.

Police are hunting three French nationals, including two brothers from the Paris region, after suspected Islamist gunmen killed 12 people at a satirical magazine on Wednesday, a police official and government source said.

The hooded attackers stormed the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo, a weekly known for lampooning Islam and other religions, in the most deadly militant attack on French soil in decades.

...During the attack, one of the assailants was captured on video outside the building shouting "Allahu Akbar!" (God is Greatest) as shots rang out. Another walked over to a police officer lying wounded on the street and shot him point-blank with an assault rifle, before the two calmly climbed into a black car and drove off.
In that bizarre parallel universe known as MSNBC, the terror attack by three Islamists is equated with Jerry Falwell suing Hustler.

Yes, gunning down 12 people and a court case are considered comparable acts of religious fundamentalism.

From NewsBusters:

On Wednesday's Now With Alex Wagner on MSNBC, Eric Bates... a former executive editor for Rolling Stone magazine, cited Jerry Falwell's lawsuit against porn magazine Hustler in the 1980s as an apparent example of "religious fundamentalists of all stripes and of nationalities have this penchant to say, we want to be able tell you what you can and can't portray."
Moreover, we need to understand why the Islamists commit terror attacks.

Rick MacArthur of Harper's magazine adds to the inanity by blaming the U.S. troop presence in the Middle East.

MacArthur cites the "huge American troop presence in the Middle East, and an insertion of American power in the Middle East that never existed before....there is a sense of grievance in the Muslim world today that didn't exist twenty years ago – before the United States sent troops to Saudi Arabia."

Here's video:

A lawsuit is not the same as killing 12 people. How idiotic!

And these Islamists didn't target Americans.

Said Kourachi, 34, his brother Cherif, 32, and Hamyd Mourad, 18, hit the offices of a French satirical magazine. They killed journalists and cartoonists and police officers.

These killers misdirected their "sense of grievance" if U.S. presence in the Middle East is to blame.

Both Bates and MacArthur are nuts.

They don't understand the nature of the enemy. I don't think they want to understand. They appear incapable of handling the truth.
