Jay Leno's Tonight Show on Tuesday ended with a Trayvon Martin tribute.
The musical performance by Talib Kweli featuring Nelly and Abby Dobson of "Before He Walked" was a hoodie fest.

Here's video:
The song ended with raised fists and a dedication to Trayvon.
When Leno came over, he could be heard saying what a great tribute it was to Trayvon Martin.
I really wasn't paying attention. I didn't look up at the TV until I heard "Trayvon."
Not speaking about this performance specifically, but in general, I don't like this time travel experience. It's so bizarre. We are not living in the America of the 1960s and prior in terms of race relations.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is a terrorist and a murderer.
But he's SO cute!
Rolling Stone, disgracefully, is giving the Boston Bomber rock star treatment.

How twisted!
I haven't read the article. I don't know if it presents the terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev sympathetically. Let's just focus on the cover photo.
He doesn't look like a cold-blooded killer. He doesn't look like a monster.
I agree with Judd Legum.
New Rolling Stone cover turns the Boston bomber into Jim Morrison. A comparison: pic.twitter.com/UJKhAMJSGO
— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) July 16, 2013
Tsarnaev doesn't look like a creep, let alone a terrorist.
When Charles Manson made the cover of Rolling Stone, his image wasn't attractive. He looked like an evil man.

The photo of Tsarnaev isn't scary looking. Rolling Stone chose to use a photo that looks like he's a star who posed for the cover, with a crew of make-up artists tending to his carefully tousled hair.
The guy killed and maimed and injured hundreds. If he must be on the cover, that reality should be reflected in the photo choice. There should be nothing remotely attractive about the image, nothing to evoke sympathy for the killer.

SHARE:Rachel Jeantel, Piers Morgan, the N-Word (Video)
I wasn't aware that the N-word, in any form, was acceptable.
According to "star witness" Rachel Jeantel, the N-word when said with an "a" rather than "er" is not a racist word.
It means "any kind of male."
Jeantel explains the usage to Piers Morgan.
Here's video:
Hmmm.
I don't think so.
I'm not comfortable with that.
Maybe Obama, the alleged post-racial president, should tell us if it's OK. Barack "let me be clear" Obama should clarify. Jay Carney could pass along Obama's ruling.
Confused about "cracka" and "cracker."
Here's more from Jeantel.
She explained that the term is actually spelled “cracka” and defined it as “people who are acting like they’re police.” She said that if Zimmerman had calmly approached Martin and introduced himself, her friend would have politely said what he was doing there and nothing more would have happened. So a "cracka" is someone acting like "they're police."
Unlike the juror, Jeantel did think Zimmerman was racially motivated. “It was racial,” she said. “Let’s be honest, racial. If Trayvon was white and he had a hoodie on, would that happen?” She said she “had a feeling it was going to be not guilty” not because of the racial makeup of the jury, but because of the way the testimony went.
Jeantel insisted that Martin was “creeped out” and believed Zimmerman was following him, even worrying that he might be a “rapist.” She asked, “For every boy or every man who’s not that kind of way, seeing a grown man following them, would they be creeped out?”
It's has nothing to do with race.
Hmmm.

SHARE:Milwaukee Man Beaten: 'This Is For Trayvon Martin'
UPDATE: Breitbart takes the story national.
__________________
I hope the Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson race-baiters, Leftist media, Democrats, and Obama are happy.
They've exploited the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman case to create racial dissension and incite violence.
They are irresponsible, disgraceful people. Real sickos.
A Wauwatosa man claims to be a victim of the trial's fall-out.
Here's video from FOX6 News:
Milwaukee police are investigating a battery that happened near 26th and Cherry around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14th.
A 34-year-old Wauwatosa man told police that he was walking through Tiefenthaler Park from a friend’s house when he was punched in the back of the head by an unknown suspect, knocking him down. The victim says that several other suspects then punched and kicked him. Officials say the victim further alleges that he heard one of the suspects refer to Trayvon Martin as they were striking him.
The victim is 34-year-old Christopher. FOX6 News is withholding his last name because he says he fears for his safety.
“I get hit from behind, I get spun around, and then I get tackled and knocked to the ground. This lasted at least five minutes before I blacked out. I woke up and I remember thinking ‘is this ever going to end?’” Christopher told FOX6 News.
Christopher says it’s the last thing he heard that made him want to share his story.
“One of the guys who hit me said: ‘this is for Trayvon,’” Christopher said.
The suspects fled and the Christopher was conveyed to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released. The investigation is ongoing and there are no suspects in custody.
“I could have been killed. I think it’s important that people hear about this story and maybe they think twice before they go and do this to somebody,” Christopher said.
...T.J. Jackson witnessed the incident.
“The guy was coming from around the corner here and several individuals dressed in black — bunch of kids, ain’t no grown men, a bunch of children — came out and jumped on the guy, screamed, ‘Trayvon Martin’ and got out of there before the police could come,” Jackson said.
...Meanwhile, Christopher, who says he has no racial prejudice, points out it was a black man who stopped the attack and called 911.
“I remember him holding my arm the whole time until the police showed up. He said, ‘I got this, nothing more is going to happen to you.’ We need to come together to come through this Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman thing. because if we decide to do what happened to me, it’s not going to solve anything. It’s going to drive the wedge even further,” Christopher said.
This is nuts.
Black women assaulted street performer Cassandra Struve because she's a white woman.
Christopher claims he was beaten because he's white. A witness to the beating tells the same story.
A broken hand and a concussion are serious injuries.
Thugs.
Good job, Al Sharpton and Obama and all the other race-baiters inciting hate.

Trayvon Martin Cartoon
From Twitchy: Lib journalists shower praise on absurd Trayvon Martin cartoon.
Adrian Carrasquillo:
Powerful Cartoon Captures Fears Of Many Parents Of Non-White Children After Zimmerman VerdictDavid Beard:

heartbreak. RT @dabeard: Simple - and devaatating - @laloalcaraz cartoon after #zimmermanverdict h/t @RealAdrianC
Here's the cartoon that the lib journalists have found so moving:

The reality is every time we part with our children, or anyone we love, there's no guarantee we will see them again. However, for most kids, it's extremely unlikely they will meet a fate similar to that of Trayvon Martin.
Nonetheless, the cartoon suggests that a parent should worry that a good kid won't make it home alive when going out to buy snacks. In America, chances are black kids wearing hooded sweatshirts will get shot and die.
How ridiculous!
It reminds me of the idiotic statement Michelle Obama made on 60 Minutes, February 11, 2007.
She said, "[A]s a black man, you know, Barack can get shot going to the gas station, you know."
She made it sound like African-Americans are routinely being shot at gas stations and on American streets simply because of their race.
Crazy!
The Trayvon Martin cartoon depicts a similar scenario.
If you're black, prepare to be killed.
Bottom line: The cartoon distorts the facts of the trial of George Zimmerman. It instills unjustified fear.
It's utterly irresponsible. No wonder the Leftists like it.

George Zimmerman Not Guilty
George Zimmerman was found not guilty, but it's hard to view him as a free man.
From FOX News:
George Zimmerman has been acquitted of all charges in the February 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla.The jury reached a verdict.
The jury of six women informed Judge Debra Nelson shortly before 10 p.m. local time Saturday that they had reached a verdict after deliberating for approximately 15 hours over two days.
Zimmerman, 29, blinked and barely smiled when the verdict was announced. After hearing the verdict, Judge Nelson told Zimmerman he was free to go.
Various thugs and the NAACP don't like it.
"Today, justice failed Trayvon Martin and his family," said Roslyn M. Brock, Chairman of the NAACP in a statement. "We call immediately for the Justice Department to conduct an investigation into the civil rights violations committed against Trayvon Martin. This case has re-energized the movement to end racial profiling in the United States."Good grief.
"We are outraged and heartbroken over today’s verdict," said Benjamin Todd Jealous, President and CEO of the NAACP, in another statement. "We stand with Trayvon’s family and we are called to act. We will pursue civil rights charges with the Department of Justice, we will continue to fight for the removal of Stand Your Ground laws in every state, and we will not rest until racial profiling in all its forms is outlawed."
I'm so sick of all the race-baiting.
Zimmerman has been acquitted. Of course, he must be relieved. That's better news for him than being found guilty and facing decades in prison. But Zimmerman is not free.
His life will be a living hell. Zimmerman haters can take some solace in that.
Threats abound.
From the Right Scoop: DEATH THREAT: Black man tweets photo of himself holding gun, tweets “Zimmerman we comin for yo life bitch”

Absolutely disgusting.
It's tragic that Trayvon Martin is dead. It's awful.
Another tragedy is that race-baiters - including Al Sharpton, the MSNBC crew, thousands on Twitter, and Obama - spread their poison and show no signs of letting up.
I can't stand the way some people are bent on racializing everything. It's so depressing that so many, including the president, insist on dragging us down. It's reprehensible.
I want justice for all, blacks and "white Hispanics" alike.

Eliot Spitzer and Jay Leno: 'How Could You Be This Stupid?' (Video)
The disgraced former governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer, was Jay Leno's guest on Friday's Tonight Show.
Spitzer, Client #9, believes he has the character and judgment to be trusted as New York City's comptroller.
Leno called Spitzer brilliant, but then followed up with "How could you be this stupid?"
Here's video:
Spitzer was worse than stupid. He thought he was above the law.
Political power and Spitzer are a dangerous mix.
Spitzer kept referring to his "fall from grace."
That gentle, almost poetic term glosses over just how sleazy and corrupt Spitzer was exposed to be.
I wouldn't trust him to hold public office.

Eco-Terrorists, Wisconsin Mine - Video
This video is shocking.
These eco-terrorist loons are truly crazed. They're frightening.
The masks, the threats, the abuse, the language-- These people are scary. They are uncivilized brutes, anti-social thugs. They are a danger to the public. They should be arrested.
Watch:
(WARNING: LANGUAGE)
From the MacIver Institute:
More protestors have settled on the oft-debated mining site in northern Wisconsin, and they aren't happy about the progress being made there. In a recently released, profanity-laden video, a group of 6-8 anti-mining activists hurl threats, profanities, and insults at a group working for Gogebic Taconite while they try to work. And Sen. Bob Jauch, DEMOCRAT, is flipping out over security for the site?
Their comments are upsetting. They tell the miners that they'll "f***ing destroy" them. They warn that more protesters are coming and that the workers won't "get anything done" once they've all joined forces.
At one point, a protestor even calls one of the female workers a "disgrace to women everywhere" and "a f***ing idiot." She finishes her screed with a disturbing threat: "Get on the other side or die."
With all due respect, what a fool!
This video shows the need to protect the workers from the eco-terrorists.
I'm glad I'm not aligned with them.
It's so good not to be a Leftist/Democrat.

Justin Bieber Fans, Bill Clinton Excuse Bad Behavior

Check out the fans' reaction to Beiber caught relieving himself in a janitor's bucket at a restaurant:
Really, what guy hasn't been walking through the kitchen of a restaurant and decided to use a mop bucket as a urinal?
Nothing out of the ordinary.
In addition to the bucket incident, Bieber dissed Bill Clinton.
Bieber sprays a photo of Bill Clinton with cleaning liquid for some reason ... saying, "F*** Bill Clinton!"Bieber actually called Bill Clinton to apologize.
This little punk can get a former U.S. president on the phone?
Say what you will about Slick Willy, he still was the president for two terms.
From Politico:
Justin Bieber was singing a different tune to Bill Clinton on Wednesday evening.
The pop star reportedly apologized to the former president after a video was unearthed of Bieber yelling “F—- Bill Clinton!” while spraying a photo of Clinton with cleaning liquid during a rowdy night out earlier this year.
Bieber took to Twitter to tell the world he had apologized personally to Clinton.
@billclinton thanks for taking the time to talk Mr. President. Your words meant alot. #greatguy
— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) July 10, 2013
...“The insider tells us that the erstwhile commander in chief took Bieber’s slam in jest, saying something along the lines of, ‘If that is the worst thing you have ever done, all is well.’”Unbelievable.
According to E!, Bieber also offered to help the Clinton Global Initiative, and “Clinton, in turn, told the pop singer to focus on the good that he can do for the world — and to keep an eye on his friends (one of whom purportedly leaked the video in question).”
Clinton personally forgives Bieber, then gives him his blessing.
If Clinton has time to talk to wannabe thug Bieber, he's not using his time well.

SHARE:Bed Bugs - Milwaukee
According to Mike Jacobs, TMJ4, bed bugs "are spreading like wildfire in the Milwaukee area."
That's alarming, but is it true?
Here's video.
Terminix has released a list of cities that have had the biggest jump in bed bug infestations.Yikes!
Number one is Sacramento, and unfortunately, Milwaukee is number two! Las Vegas comes in third.
“Bedbugs continue to have a significant presence across the country, in cities large and small, and pose concern for public health,” said Stan Cope, PhD and entomologist with Terminix.
“There is now evidence that suggests that severe bedbug infestations may be associated with anemia. Also, bedbug bites can result in secondary infections due to excessive scratching. Bedbug infestations are also known to have a psychological impact and can cause emotional stress and irritability.”
The Milwaukee area is infested!!! Only Sacramento has more bugs. Milwaukee is even worse than Vegas!
This sensationalized reporting is misleading. What did the Terminix "new report" really show?
From USA Today:
Terminix has just issued its annual list of top bed-bug infested cities. In a twist this year, the exterminator has identified the 15 top cities with the largest increase in infestations. These numbers are meaningless.
We'll get to that, but first, a look at where the most bed bug-specific calls from anguished (we presume) customers are coming from. Terminix has 300-plus branches nationwide.
Cities with the top number of calls related to bed bugs through May of this year:
Cincinnati
Philadelphia
Detroit
New York
Columbus
Los Angeles
Dallas
Chicago
Houston
Baltimore
The same cities have tended to pop up in various spots on the list since it debuted in 2010. Tallies for previous years are on the company's website.
The 15 cities with the greatest increases in bed bug complaint calls to Terminix:
Sacramento — 54%
Milwaukee — 53%
Las Vegas — 50%
Columbus, Ohio — 47%
Baltimore — 46%
Riverside-San Bernardino, Calif. — 41%
St. Louis — 40%
Cleveland — 36%
Louisville — 31%
Denver — 28%
Los Angeles — 27%
San Francisco — 26%
Dallas/Ft. Worth — 25%
Nashville — 17%
Houston — 15%
"Greatest increases in bed bug complaint calls to Terminix" does not mean that bed bugs have increased in the Milwaukee area by 53 percent.
Do all the calls result in the identification of bed bug infestations as opposed to other pests?
Moreover, the 53 percent measure for Milwaukee doesn't reveal anything about the number of calls previously. The Milwaukee area may have less of a bed bug problem than other cities on the "increase" list.
Furthermore, these are Terminix figures, not a nationwide report including all exterminators regarding bed bugs. The numbers could easily be skewed based on where Terminix branches are located.
This "new report" is very poor on control.
It seems that this year Terminix simply decided to identify the "15 cities with the greatest increases in bed bug complaint calls to Terminix" to drum up business, seeking to create greater concern about the pests in new markets. And the local media dutifully spread the word/panic.
The top cities with the worst infestations have remained relatively constant.
"The same cities have tended to pop up in various spots on the list since it debuted in 2010."
I understand why Terminix decided to mix things up and add some new cities to its "report."
It's good to expand business.
The local media report the story because it's good for ratings.
THE BED BUG APOCALYPSE!!!
Oh, the humanity!!!

Trayvon Martin Protests and the DOJ
Justice is blind.
Not in Obama's America.
From the Washington Times:
The legal watchdog Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained documents revealing the Community Relations Service (CRS), a unit of the Department of Justice, was deployed to Sanford, Fla., following the death of Trayvon Martin to help organize rallies against George Zimmerman. From Judicial Watch:
JW filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the DOJ on April 24, 2012; 125 pages were received on May 30, 2012. JW administratively appealed the request on June 5, 2012, and received 222 pages more on March 6, 2013. According to the documents:Count me among the Americans objecting to my tax dollars being used to fund racially-charged demonstrations.
- March 25 – 27, 2012, CRS spent $674.14 upon being “deployed to Sanford, FL, to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.”
- March 25 – 28, 2012, CRS spent $1,142.84 “in Sanford, FL to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.
- March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent $892.55 in Sanford, FL “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida.”
- March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent an additional $751.60 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.”
- April 3 – 12, 2012, CRS spent $1,307.40 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations planned in Sanford.”
- April 11 – 12, 2012, CRS spent $552.35 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance for the preparation of possible marches and rallies related to the fatal shooting of a 17 year old African American male.”
...“These documents detail the extraordinary intervention by the Justice Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George Zimmerman,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “My guess is that most Americans would rightly object to taxpayers paying government employees to help organize racially-charged demonstrations.”
The Eric Holder Department of Justice is a disgrace.

Twinkies Return - July 15

TWINKIES ARE BACK!
On Monday, all will be right with the world once more.
From the Wall Street Journal:
As more than 50 million Twinkies start making their way to stores next week, the first order of business for the 83-year-old brand's new owner is to let customers know a classic is back.I'm sure union hacks aren't happy, but employing 1,800 people is better than none.
But behind the return of the familiar cream-filled sponge cake is a leaner operation, free of the union contracts and the $1.3 billion in debt that saddled the brand's previous owners. With that clean slate, the new owner and chief executive, C. Dean Metropoulos, plans to launch an ambitious growth plan and avoid the problems that led to two Chapter 11 bankruptcies, the last of which ended in liquidation.
In his first interview about the company's strategy, Mr. Metropoulos said the new Hostess Brands LLC, based in Kansas City, Mo., will be focused on innovation, efficiency and getting more Twinkies in more places.
"Wherever you find a Snickers bar or M&Ms, you should be able to find a Twinkie," he said.
Some workers who are returning to the company are being paid significantly less than they were before the bankruptcy.
The previous distribution system involved roughly 6,000 drivers—all with union wages and pension benefits—delivering products to stores and placing them on shelves. The old Hostess distribution was governed by complicated work rules that required drivers to deliver bread and cakes on separate trucks, adding costs. Those delivery routes also reached only 50,000 of the country's roughly 150,000 convenience stores, and left some pockets around the country entirely without Twinkies.
Now Mr. Metropoulos is using third-party drivers to deliver products to retailers' warehouses, which he said will enable big expansion. He expects to reach a total of about 110,000 convenience stores by year-end—and to start reaching dollar stores, club stores, drug stores and vending machines, where its products previously were absent.
Mr. Metropoulos's workforce isn't unionized and he is moving to automate and improve the capacity of the plants, while eliminating products that sold poorly or were only sold regionally, such as jelly doughnuts and Strawberry CupCakes.
The old Hostess had approximately 19,000 employees, many of whom worked on brands such as Wonder Bread that Mr. Metropoulos's group didn't buy. The new Hostess is planning to have about 1,800 workers when it is fully staffed in the next couple of months.
The most efficient, cost-effective process in making and delivering Twinkies or any product is what matters in a free market.
People want Twinkies and now they can get them.
That's good.
Twinkie love should encourage entrepreneurs to create a must-have treat.
I wonder if Michelle will push Obama to put out a statement declaring Monday a dark day in our history.
(Note to Michelle: Twinkies have NOTHING to do with obesity. They've been around since 1930. High-calorie sweet stuff has been around forever.)
Will Mayor Michael Bloomberg ceremonially dump a box of Twinkies in the East River, in protest?
Will Obama issue an executive order demanding that Twinkies be banned?
No, not before the 2014 elections.
He may declare July 15th Broccoli Awareness Day.

SHARE:Beth Matusoff Merfish "Proud" of Mother's Abortion
Beth Matusoff Merfish, an op-ed contributor for the New York Times, made a shocking declaration on MSNBC's July 9th broadcast of Now with Alex Wagner.
She announced that she is "proud" of her mother's abortion. "Proud."
During a discussion of Wendy Davis and the abortion debate in Texas, Matusoff Merfish made the following startling statement, from NewsBusters:
BETH MATUSOFF MERFISH, NYT: You know more women than we would like to know -- or than we think have had abortions. The Guattmacher Institute estimates that 22% of pregnancies in the United States are terminated – and that of the women that terminate, 61% of those women are already mothers. I think such shame permeates our discussion about abortion. And in fact that is so contradictory to how I feel about my mother's abortion. I am incredibly proud of her. At the age of 20 years old she had the wisdom and the courage to know that her own potential would be cut short by a pregnancy and to terminate that pregnancy and I think many of our mothers have similar stories and it is really important to talk about that.I can't imagine using the word "proud" to describe the act that killed my unborn sibling.
Matusoff Merfish had an older brother or sister that her mother chose to kill. She's proud of her mother for doing that, "incredibly proud."
Having an abortion doesn't elicit pride in my view, under any circumstances. It's the end of a human life. That's something to mourn, not celebrate.
Matusoff Merfish boasts, "At the age of 20 years old she had the wisdom and the courage to know that her own potential would be cut short by a pregnancy and to terminate that pregnancy."
No, at the age of 20, her mother wasn't wise. She didn't have enough wisdom to prevent her pregnancy. She also didn't have courage. It doesn't take courage to shirk personal responsibility. Her mother was reckless and selfish, more concerned about her own potential than the potential of her unborn child.
The reality is the mother of Matusoff Merfish put herself ahead of that unique human life she was carrying, having her developing baby killed.
Sadly, there are many mothers with similar stories. I don't consider the women owning those stories to be wise or courageous. They are pitiable. Rather than carrying a baby for nine months, they chose to carry the knowledge that they killed their unborn babies for the rest of their lives.
I completely disagree with the perspective of Matusoff Merfish. Killing an innocent human life is not a source of pride.
Can't intelligent people, informed about reality and the science of human development, at least agree on this-- that the intentional killing of an unborn baby is tragic?

Laborfest Milwaukee Cancelled
From Right Wisconsin:
Poor, poor #wiunion. First, their paper goes belly up. Now, Labor Fest has been CANCELLED. http://t.co/sSf8QYfsNy #wiright
— RightWisconsin (@RightWisconsin) July 9, 2013
Here's the message from Sheila D. Cochran Secretary/Treasurer – Chief Operating Officer:
For many years we have had the pleasure of coordinating and organizing our great Labor Day Parade and Laborfest Celebration with the Laborfest Committee and our staff. As you know our great Labor Day Celebration has been a staple in Milwaukee and an event that we not only look forward too, but the greater community looks forward to as well. This year we have cancelled our huge parade and Laborfest and we wanted to be sure that everyone who looks forward to our annual celebration is aware of this. We know there has been some conversation and speculation so we wanted to make certain our message is spread properly. The clenched fist Big Labor employs as a symbol doesn't suggest dialogue and civility.
We want to be sure everyone knows we are ‘not going away’, we are regrouping for the future. Please check back, as we will provide updates as they become available.
We look forward to working with you in the future, and will miss everyone on Labor Day, but some of you are already busy planning outings with family and friends. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
In Solidarity,
Sheila D. Cochran Secretary/Treasurer – Chief Operating Officer

It suggests thuggery and anger and violence.
The Wisconsin labor symbol has always troubled me. I can't stand the signs and the bumper stickers and the t-shirts.

I don't like my beloved home state being depicted as a closed fist.
It's not a welcoming image, whether in attracting business to the state or tourists.
It's ugly.
When I see a car with a bumper sticker of that symbol, I don't think a rational person is driving. I think of the resistance displayed by a two-year-old having a fit.
Thankfully, that thuggish Wisconsin union fist seems to have gone squishy and limp.
Solidarity Forever?
The numbers are dwindling.
Not so solid anymore, at least not solid enough for a parade and celebration at the lakefront in Milwaukee on Labor Day.

Buddy Guy and Cassandra Struve
Cassandra Struve, the street performer attacked by three black women because she was playing "Minnie the Moocher" on her saxophone outside of Summerfest, met a blues legend last Saturday night - Buddy Guy.
From FOX6 News:
A saxophone player who says she was assaulted while playing outside Summerfest had the opportunity to meet Buddy Guy on Saturday night, July 6th.On his Monday show, Mark Belling shared the story and a photo of the meeting.
Cassandra Struve says she was assaulted outside of Summerfest by a group of women, and says the crime was racially motivated.
Struve entertains the crowds as they leave Summerfest. But lately, the music has been muted; stifled by piercing headaches and bruises on her face.
...Struve says a woman ran up to her and hit her as she played “Minnie the Moocher” on her saxophone.
“Her daughter comes out of nowhere and she actually hit me three times,” said Struve.
Struve says she pushed back.
“As they walked away, they were saying ‘white saxophone playing B word,’” said Struve. “I was upset and crying instantly because I knew that when she hit me, she hit me with only racial hate.”
Three females, a 41-year-old, 24-year-old and 14-year-old were cited for disorderly conduct. The 41-year-old was also cited for assault and battery.
“Disorderly conduct and battery only and they should not get that, they should get a lot higher of a charge because they did that out of hate,” said Struve.
Struve is now asking the accused by charged with a hate crime.
...On Saturday, Struve was provided an opportunity to meet and share her story with Blues musician Buddy Guy. Guy shared some of his own life experiences with Struve and encouraged her to keep playing.

It's really great that Buddy Guy took the time to meet with Struve when he was in Milwaukee to perform at Summerfest. I imagine his concern and words of encouragement meant a great deal to Struve.
It's an uplifting story, a reminder not to think that hate is pervasive. There are good people, like Buddy Guy.

Happy 4th of July!

On July 3, 1776, John Adams wrote a prophetic letter to his wife Abigail. It foretold the significance of Independence Day.
He wrote:
"I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by Solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfire and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more."
The second president of the United States was right.
237 years later, it is a day of celebration, a great anniversary.
I feel so, so blessed to be an American, to be a member of the "succeeding generations" that inherited independence.
Adams wrote to Abigail that he understood how high the price of liberty would be, but that didn't discourage him.
"You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. - I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. - Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not."
I'm so grateful to all those who fought for my freedom -- the American patriots of over two hundred years ago, throughout our history, and today.
I love my country.
I cherish my freedom.
Happy Fourth of July!
God Bless America.

Alec Baldwin Gets Pass, Paula Deen Gets Punished
TMZ isn't cutting Alec Baldwin any slack over his homophobic Twitter rant.
Alec Baldwin -- who puts Paula Deen to shame in the bigotry department -- again showed his true colors with a hate-filled tirade that targeted gays.
A British reporter wrote a story that Baldwin's wife was tweeting recipes and other things during James Gandolfini's funeral. The actor went nuts on twitter, claiming the story was false. Nothing wrong with that.
But then Baldwin played his go-to homophobic card -- he's done it before -- tweeting that the reporter was "a toxic little queen." Baldwin continued, "If (sic) put my foot up your f***ing ass, George Stark, but I'm sure you'd dig it too much."
Baldwin then called the reporter a "f***ing little bitch" several times and then just plain threatened, "I'm gonna f**k you up."
Does Baldwin forget that what he writes on Twitter is on the record for all the world to read?
TMZ's headline: "Alec Baldwin Hates Lots of People But REALLY Hates Gays."
I'm glad that Baldwin isn't being given a pass by the entertainment media.
He didn't just get angry and curse while defending his wife. He said extremely offensive and violent things. They're vulgar and totally unhinged, but revealing.
Baldwin's comments are gay slurs.
He attempted a CYA move, trying to claim that there was nothing homophobic about his tweets.
TMZ has his statement under the headline: "Alec Baldwin Still a Homophobe Now a Liar, Too!"
Alec Baldwin insists he doesn't hate gays ... just "queens" ... and that's just the beginning of the mind-numbingly stupid explanation he just released in the wake of his homophobic Twitter rant.Baldwin's excuse is stunningly lame.
...Here's what Baldwin had to say:
"The idea of me calling this guy a 'queen' and that being something that people thought is homophobic ... a queen to me has a different meaning. It’s somebody who’s just above. It doesn’t have any necessarily sexual connotations. To me a queen ... I know women that act queeny, I know men that are straight that act queeny, and I know gay men that act queeny. It doesn’t have to be a definite sexual connotation, or a homophobic connotation. To me those are people who think the rules don’t apply to them."
Alec is full of crap ... and here's why: In the same Twitter rant in which he attacked the reporter, George Stark, Baldwin included the threat ... "If (sic) put my foot up your f***ing ass, George Stark, but I'm sure you'd dig it too much."
So let's do some math. Queen + enjoying a foot up your ass = homophobic slur.
Of course, his remarks were homophobic.
So is his career over?
Will he still get work in Hollywood? Will he show up on Saturday Night Live again?
I saw one of his Capital One ads air last night. When is the bank going to dump the raving homophobe Baldwin?
For days, Paula Deen has been tarred and feathered because of racially offensive things she said years ago. The Food Network dropped her. She's lost endorsements and several stores, like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, and JCPenney, will no longer carry her products. Deen's apologies have not been accepted by her business partners. She's finished, though the public hasn't abandoned her. Understandably, there has been a backlash because of how severely she's being punished.
TMZ raises an interesting question: "Alec Baldwin's homophobic rant against a reporter makes us wonder ... why HE isn't getting slammed like Paula Deen? Sounds horrible to say, but is America more okay with verbal attacks on gays than Blacks?"
I think the forgiveness that Baldwin gets over and over again is related to his politics. He's a dyed-in-the-wool lib. His fellow Leftists won't turn against him. Don't expect to see Matt Lauer harassing him and bringing him to tears on Today as he begs the public to forgive him.
From FOX News:
Dan Gainor, vice president of business and culture for Media Research Center, told FOX411 he doubts Baldwin's endorsement deals would be impacted by his tweets.
"This is the kind of incident that shows the hypocrisy of the liberal media. Paula Deen says something bad decades ago and has her whole career destroyed," he said. "Alec Baldwin fills his career with embarrassing moments – saying awful things to his daughter, getting kicked off an airplane and now, the ultimate PC sin, anti-gay comments. And his career will continue unharmed."
Indeed this is not Baldwin's first tech-based tirade. He was thrown off an airplane in 2011 for refusing to turn his phone off while playing Words With Friends. And following a Feburary altercation with a newspaper photographer, Baldwin reportedly made racist remarks, calling him a "coon" and a "crackhead."
“He was saying some serious racist stuff,” New York Post photographer G.N. Miller said at the time. “He said some choice words about my mother, and he was telling people in the street that I’m a drug dealer."
Baldwin denied he made those statements.
Of course he did. He can get away with anything. Baldwin won't get the Paula Deen treatment.
I do think it's time to question why Capital One wants such a hate-filled, out of control embarrassment to be the bank's pitchman on TV. Time to question Capital One's decision to continue to employ him.
The fact is Baldwin's career is not in any danger. Baldwin is completely safe. And that's wrong.

Bert and Ernie: Gay - The New Yorker
From Human Events:
No, not even Muppets are spared in our culture war. Below is the cover of the new issue of The New Yorker. So the Sesame Workshop declares that Bert and Ernie are not gay. But that doesn't stop The New Yorker from exploiting them.
“It’s amazing to witness how attitudes on gay rights have evolved in my lifetime,” said Jack Hunter, the artist behind the cover. “This is great for our kids, a moment we can all celebrate.”
Then again, in response to an 2011 online petition calling for Bert and Ernie to tie the knot, the Sesame Workshop’s Facebook page offered this statement:
“Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves. Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics…they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation.”
The cover is open to interpretation. We don't know what Bert and Ernie are thinking. They're looking at an image of the Supreme Court, on a very old TV. However, we do know what the artist intended. The Supreme Court decision is a "moment we can all celebrate." Bert and Ernie are happy.
Let's be realistic: Those at the Sesame Workshop support gay marriage. I'm sure they don't mind the cover at all. The 2011 statement just calls for people not to boycott Bert and Ernie and Sesame Street. There's a lot of money in merchandising at stake. Their hands are clean.
I don't think it's a good thing or something to celebrate when beloved childhood characters are used to advance any political agenda.
What would the cover have looked like if the Supreme Court upheld DOMA? Would Bert Ernie be angry and marching in the streets? Would they be weeping?
The target audience for Bert and Ernie is preschoolers.
Innocence lost.
Granted, preschoolers aren't likely to see the cover of The New Yorker, unless their parents go out of their way to show them.
Still, I don't think the characters should be used like this.
Bert and Ernie's alleged support of gay marriage conflicts with the religious values many children are taught.
Why not leave these issues to be discussed by the grown-ups and real people?

SHARE:14 Republicans Vote for Amnesty, Ron Johnson's Comments
Fourteen Republican senators voted for legislation granting amnesty for ILLEGAL immigrants before securing the border. Furthermore, the bill fails to provide interior enforcement. In addition, it grants the Executive Branch waivers and discretion that would allow for ignoring Congressional intent.

Susan Collins - Maine
Bob Corker - Tennessee
Jeff Flake - Arizona
Lindsey Graham - South Carolina
Orrin Hatch - Utah
Dean Heller - Nevada
John Hoeven - North Dakota
Mark Kirk - Illinois
John McCain - Arizona
Lisa Murkowski - Alaska
Marco Rubio - Florida
Read Ron Johnson's comments on the immigration bill vote:
Senator Ron Johnson (WI) released the following statement regarding his vote on S. 744, the Immigration Reform Bill:Once again, Ron Johnson delivers the right vote. His judgment is sound.
"America is a compassionate society, and no one wants to separate families by deporting moms and dads or husbands and wives. As a result, I support immigration reform and a path to legal status for people whose only crime was to enter the country illegally when they came here to work. I also recognize that our current immigration laws are not working – not for American workers, not for employers, and not for immigrants who want to come to America and play by the rules. That’s why I had hoped by the end of debate, I would be able to vote 'yes' to the immigration bill on the Senate floor.
"There are some good provisions in the Senate bill. The bill replaces the H-2A agriculture visa that has not worked with a much more workable system, affecting the 40 percent of dairy workers in Wisconsin who are immigrants. It also increases the caps for high-skilled workers, allowing this country to better compete in today’s global economy. The bill mandates E-Verify for the first time and takes important steps to clear today’s backlog, ending the ability to work here illegally and significantly easing the process to come to this country legally. However, much work remains.
"My bottom line in deciding whether or not I support this bill has always been that it must solve the problem. Unfortunately, I’ve come to the conclusion that it will not. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reaches this same conclusion in its evaluation of the underlying bill, finding that the bill will only reduce illegal immigration by 25 percent. That means an estimated 7.5 million more illegal immigrants will come to this country by 2033, recreating the uncertainty and fear in the next generation of children whose parents decide to come here illegally or overstay their visas.
"It’s not surprising that CBO reached this conclusion when you look at the amount of money we are spending on safety net benefits and other costs associated with this bill. CBO estimates that the bill will increase federal direct spending by $262 billion over the next 10 years. Most of those outlays would be for increases in refundable tax credits and in spending on health care programs for non U.S. citizens. That is why I introduced an amendment to prevent noncitizens from accessing the Earned Income Tax Credit. This amendment did not even get a vote, despite that fact that a recent National Journal poll found that 77 percent of all Americans oppose making newly legalized immigrants 'eligible for government benefits . . . before they become citizens.'
"Interior enforcement is as important as border security. Yet, this bill waters down our current entry/exit system that was outlined in 1996 and has not yet been enforced. While this bill purports to bolster border security, the legislation grants the Executive Branch, currently the Obama administration, over 200 waivers and grants of discretion on whether or how to implement the bill's specified elements. That is a fatal flaw. Presidents of both political parties are famous for ignoring Congressional intent when they have that choice. For decades, Presidents of both parties have refused to secure our border, and these waivers and discretions will continue that historical practice.
"I will not give up on immigration reform. As debate winds down in the Senate, I will work with my colleagues in the House toward a workable solution. I am voting 'no' this time around, but I truly hope that the bill we get to vote on after conference is significantly stronger and can ensure my support. Let’s solve the problem."

SHARE:Summerfest Street Performer Assaulted
Three black women attacked a white woman outside Summerfest on Wednesday night.
The black women hit the white woman, a street performer, because she was playing "Minnie the Moocher" on her sax. They hit her because "a white girl" shouldn't play that song.
"Minnie the Moocher" is a jazz song, an American classic, recorded by Cab Calloway in 1931. The song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
FOX6 News has the report on the violence:
A saxophone player was assaulted outside the Summerfest grounds near Chicago St. on Wednesday, June 26th around 11 p.m.How sick!
26-year-old street performer Cassandra Struve became a target on opening night while she was playing an old jazz song.
“I was playing Minnie the Moocher, classic Blues Brothers song,” said Struve. ”A lady with a child in her hand came up to me, smacked me in my face and said ‘don’t play that.’”
Struve says three African American women confronted her and shouted that a white girl could not play the song.
After being hit, Struve says she was shocked and pushed the woman away, but was hit again.
“Her daughter came out of nowhere and punched me twice in the side of the face,” said Struve. “After she did that I was instantly upset. You know, I mean, I cried.”
A group of workers at a nearby hot dog stand witnessed the attack.
“It was chaotic, you know, it was really chaotic,” said Lee Johnson.
Johnson says he tried to confront the women but they continued walking away. Then he decided to check on Struve.
“I went down to her aid and assisted her the best I could and called 911 for her,” said Johnson.
Struve says she has a bruise on her temple, but will continue to play outside Summerfest.
...Two women, 14- and 24-years-old, were cited for disorderly conduct. A 41-year-old woman was cited for assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
According to Cassandra Struve, the assault didn't escalate into physical violence. The attacker hit Struve as she was performing. The attackers believed Struve didn't have "the right" to play the song. In the attackers' world, Struve's skin color means she's not allowed to play "Minnie the Moocher."
No doubt about it, this is a racial incident. Struve was attacked by three black women because she's white.
How much media attention would this be getting if three white women struck a black woman performing outside Summerfest? How much outrage would there be?
My guess is a lot.
I'm glad the violent women are being held accountable. I hope they don't get a little tap on the wrist for their thuggish behavior.
I'm glad others witnessed the assault and came to Struve's aid.
Unfortunately, there are bad people. But thankfully, there are good people, too.
Here's video:

UPDATE, June 29, 2013: Police now believe street musician who was assaulted mid-song
Milwaukee police now say they believe a street musician who said she was assaulted in a racially motivated incident because of the song she was playing.More, from FOX6 News.
...Initially, police said Struve intervened in an incident where a girl with the three women grabbed a bracelet from a street vendor. But late Saturday, police were playing a different tune.
Officers re-interviewed Struve and Lt. Mark Stanmeyer gave this account:
"Based on that interview, we now believe that the sax player was not involved in the vendor dispute, but was struck immediately following when the suspect had an issue with a song the victim was playing. This incident happened in close proximity of the dispute with the vendor and involved the same suspect. The information from today's interview will be included on the assault and battery citation that was issued to the suspect."

Wendy Davis Filibuster
State Senator Wendy Davis of Texas, Democrat, is a hero to Leftists and other pro-abortion proponents.
She launched a filibuster to derail Senate Bill 5.
From the Texas Tribune:
SB 5, by state Sen. Glenn Hegar, R-Katy, would make abortion illegal after 20 weeks and would establish stringent new requirements for facilities that perform abortions. Supporters of the bill say it would make the procedures safer for women and protect unborn babies. Abortion rights proponents say the legislation would shut down most of the abortion facilities in Texas.
With barely more than a day left in the 30-day special session called by Gov. Rick Perry at the end of May, that means Democrats have moved much closer to putting the controversial measure within the range of a filibuster.
“I think we are now in a position to try to do what’s right for the women of this state,” said Sen. Kirk Watson, D-Austin, chairman of the Senate Democratic Caucus. “We need to be protecting women’s health in this state, and we need to be protecting a woman’s right to make choices about her body.”
Sen. Wendy Davis, a Fort Worth Democrat and rising star in the party, has vowed to launch a filibuster. Unless Republicans can change some votes, the abortion measure can’t be brought up for debate until Tuesday morning at about 11 a.m. Since the session ends at midnight Tuesday, that means she could kill the legislation by talking nonstop for about 13 hours.
The pro-abortion mob went berserk as the end of the session approached, screaming to disrupt DEMOCRACY.
From Dallas News:
The special legislative session erupted in chaos late Tuesday over an abortion bill, with an extraordinary protest from abortion-rights advocates watching the debate and uncertainty over whether the measure was properly passed. So what happened?
Republicans contend that senators voted 19-10 in favor of the bill, almost entirely along party lines. But Democrats said that the vote came too late and that the matter could end up in court.
The extended drama came after Republicans used strict interpretations of Senate rules to knock Sen. Wendy Davis, D-Fort Worth, off her marathon filibuster. The final vote was delayed several minutes by loud applause from the gallery, drowning out the action on the floor.
That followed more than an hour and a half of tense debate over Senate rules and decorum, after Republican Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst ruled on a procedural point that the filibuster must end.
Earlier, as the debate on the bill unfolded, Sen. Eddie Lucio of Brownsville, the lone Democratic senator to back the bill, decried the tens of millions of abortions performed since the Supreme Court legalized the procedure in 1973.
“No one’s talked about the rights of the unborn,” he said. “They don’t have any, because of Roe vs. Wade.”
The legislation, Davis said, adds up to “a greater and greater and greater challenge to women in the state of Texas to do what? To exercise her constitutional protected right to have an abortion, to exercise the most difficult decision of her life.”
Did the bill pass?
Did the crazed pro-abortion proponents shut down the government?
It appears it did not pass.
Texas lt. gov. reverses himself, declares vote on tough abortion bill came too late to pass.
We do know without question that Obama and other celebrities took to Twitter to express their support for Wendy Davis and killing unborn babies.
Who is Wendy Davis?
The Washington Post has a briefing on this "brave" woman.
She's a "fashion icon" in D.C. She wears "pink sneakers."
Good grief.
What the Post doesn't mention is that Davis supports late-term abortion and wants easy access to kill the unborn older than 20 weeks. She's on Team Kermit Gosnell when it comes to supporting the slaughter of babies after 20 weeks of development.
If you've been pregnant, you know at 20 weeks you can feel your baby moving. You feel life.
Wendy Davis is no hero.

JAY LENO: This NSA leaker guy-- What's his name? Edward Snowden, somehow he managed to get out of the United States with all this information. Where is he? He's in Russia now. He's going to be in Ecuador or whatever. He remains at large. What are the odds? Out of 350 million Americans, the only one the government wasn't watching was him. Why is that?

Nik Wallenda Grand Canyon Tightrope Walk
The ultimate reality show. Live TV. Life and death.
Amazing.
Aerialist Nik Wallenda completed a tightrope walk that took him a quarter mile over the Little Colorado River Gorge in northeastern Arizona on Sunday. Here's the complete video:
Wallenda performed the stunt on a 2-inch-thick steel cable, 1,500 feet above the river on the Navajo Nation near the Grand Canyon. He took just more than 22 minutes, pausing and crouching twice as winds whipped around him and the rope swayed.
"Thank you Lord. Thank you for calming that cable, God," he said about 13 minutes into the walk.
Wallenda didn't wear a harness and stepped slowly and steady throughout, murmuring prayers to Jesus almost constantly along the way. He jogged and hopped the last few steps.
The event was broadcast live on the Discovery Channel.
Listen to him pray!
It's difficult to watch even knowing that he crosses safely.

Summer Solstice 2013
Today is the Summer Solstice.
The summer solstice occurs when the sun is positioned at it's furthest northern position from the Earth's equator. During the day of the summer solstice, locations north of the equator see their most minutes of daylight for the year.Right now, 12:04 AM CDT, it's officially summer.
I don't want to hear that from this point forward we're now losing hours of daylight, sliding toward the darkness of winter. Talk about seeing the glass half empty!
Summerfest starts in a few days. The festival season will be in full swing soon.
Ah, Summer!

SHARE:Obama, Jeffrey Osborne, George Osborne
Obama added to his long list of verbal blunders on Tuesday at the G8 Summit.
From The Sun:
MUSIC fan Barack Obama kept getting George Osborne’s name wrong after mixing him up with one of his favourite soul stars — Jeffrey Osborne. With all due respect, what a buffoon!
The President explained his confusion to the Chancellor as he apologised for calling him “Jeffrey” three times at the G8 summit of the world’s wealthiest nations.
...George Osborne prides himself on being very pro-American — but that’s where the similarity ends.
JEFFREY OSBORNE, 65, is an R&B singer and songwriter whose hits include the 1982 ballad On the Wings of Love. His father, Clarence “Legs” Osborne, was a trumpet player who had 12 children and died when Jeffrey was 13.
GEORGE OSBORNE, 42, is the Oxford-educated MP for Tatton in Cheshire. His dad, Sir Peter Osborne, is the 17th Baronet of Ballentaylor and Ballylemon in County Waterford, Ireland, and co-founder of the posh fabric and wallpaper designers Osborne & Little.
...Mr Obama peppered Tuesday’s 90-minute session at Lough Erne, Northern Ireland, with remarks like: “Thanks for that, Jeffrey.”
...“The first time Obama did it was bad enough, but then he kept on repeating the error throughout the presentation. It got really cringe-worthy by the end.”
...In a second diplomatic gaffe on the same day, Mr Obama said Nick Clegg was more attractive than David Cameron. He told the Deputy PM: “It’s good to see the better looking half of the Coalition.”
Take Obama off the teleprompter and he's a mess.
If George W. Bush had made the same mistake, no Leftists would be looking for excuses. They would consider evidence that Bush is an idiot.
Of course when Obama makes a fool of himself, it's because he's tired or it's hot or he's distracted pondering the meaning of life. It's anything besides Obama being a dunce.
Let's revisit some of our "brilliant" president's gaffes:
The "Breathalzyer"
The "Corpse-man"
The "Twitters"
The "Uh"
The "E-pants-ipation"
"E-pants-pation" still makes me laugh.
Without a teleprompter, the man is lost. With his teleprompter, he struggles. He doesn't connect with his audience. He simply reads, sometimes with disastrous results.
When it comes to content, Obama really falls apart.
Obama is an embarrassment.

Juneteenth Day 2013 - Arrests
What's this? The Milwaukee Police Department arrested 31 adults and 25 juveniles at the 2013 Juneteenth Day Festival.
I heard on the news yesterday, on radio and TV, that Milwaukee's Juneteenth Day festivities only had a minor hitch after the event. It may or may not have involved people attending the festival.
For example, Watch video from TMJ4.
So, I was surprised to see this:
From FOX6 News:
The Milwaukee Police Department arrested 31 adults and 25 juveniles at the 2013 Juneteenth Day Festival. The festival runs from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, one day.
Most of the arrests were for municipal violations resulting in citations.
The arrests were spread throughout the duration of the event and consistent with the number of arrests in previous years.
Fifty-six arrests is a lot. That's roughly one arrest every ten minutes for the duration of the event.
If that's consistent with previous years, that's not good.
It's not good that a small street festival requires police in riot gear.
Has Mayor Tom Barrett commented?
Mr. Mayor, this dysfunction and disorder is a behavioral thing. It has nothing to do with inanimate objects, like guns.

SHARE:Obama: Catholic Schools Divisive
Once again, Obama exposes his true colors when it comes to Catholics and religious expression.
Over a year ago, Obama declared war on the Catholic Church and religious liberty.
We know he doesn't respect our faith. He doesn't respect us as Catholics. We also know he doesn't respect the Constitution. The Bill of Rights? Forget it.
On Monday, speaking in Belfast, Obama made the extremely offensive claim that Catholic education encourages division.
From Scottish Catholic Observer:
The US President has made an alarming call for an end to Catholic education in Northern Ireland in spite of the fact that Archbishop Gerhard Müller told Scots that Catholic education was 'a critical component of the Church.’Good grief!
President Barack Obama, repeated the oft disproved claim that Catholic education increases division in front of an audience of 2000 young people, including many Catholics, at Belfast’s Waterfront hall when he arrived in the country this morning.
“If towns remain divided—if Catholics have their schools and buildings and Protestants have theirs, if we can’t see ourselves in one another and fear or resentment are allowed to harden—that too encourages division and discourages cooperation,” the US president said.
The US politician made the unfounded claim despite a top Vatican official spelling out the undeniable good done by Catholic education in a speech in Glasgow on Saturday and in his homily at Mass on Friday.
This is Obama's message? That Catholic education encourages division???
Unbelievable.
Well, actually, it's not; but that makes it no less disturbing.
John Nolte, Breitbart's Big Government, points out:
Note that Obama singles out Catholic and Protestant schools, and not Islamic schools. That's true. There is no way Obama would slam Islamic schools the way he did Catholic schools. He doesn't hesitate to share his disdain for Catholics. No tolerance for us.
It's interesting. Obama doesn't have a problem with Morehouse College, a "private historically black liberal arts college for men." He praised the institution when he delivered the commencement address there last month.
Obama doesn't consider Morehouse a college that "encourages division and discourages cooperation." He's not troubled by the college for catering to black men. Why is that separation acceptable?
I am so sick of Obama degrading Catholics, our beliefs and our schools.
Catholic schools do not encourage division. They do not discourage cooperation.
How sickening that Obama goes to Northern Ireland and rips Catholic education!
John Nolte writes:
Leftists like Obama loath parochial schools because they put children outside of the reach of government. The left sees public schools as breeding grounds–the place where they can insert themselves into their favorite spot: between parent and child.I agree.
It is all about influencing our kids–Borging them into conformity in an environment void of Bibles and trans-fat but loaded with condoms and victimhood.
Obama declaring parochial schools divisive was no accident. It was part of a prepared speech. This is what he really feels, and you can bet that it is the beginning of a PR assault his minions will eagerly pick up as a "discussion worth having."
The endgame with almost everything involving the left is to dismantle, undermine, and toxify the Church.
This is just one more piece of the puzzle being moved into place by a president never vetted by the media and enjoying the "flexibility" of not having to face another election.
Leftists hate the Church. They mock and demean its members.
Obama, the supreme Leftist, leads the charge. He is certainly doing his part to attack Catholics and assault our religious liberty.
Sickening.

SHARE:Wendy's Customer Rant (Video)
What a mistake this man made when he went to Wendy's for a cheeseburger!
His order was screwed up and he wasn't happy.
In fact, he completely lost it.
Here's video:
I feel his pain. I understand his aggravation with repeated incompetence. However, he made a fool of himself. The guy has serious anger management issues.
The guy should have simply informed the staff about the mistake and have it corrected.
Then, he should have contacted Wendy's. It's an easy thing to do with email. Most reputable places take customer feedback seriously and will do something to make up for the bad experience.
Bottom line: If you're going to Wendy's or any fast food place, you have to realize the odds are good your order will be wrong. You get what you pay for.
