DSCC: Win Trip to NYC, Meet Obama

UPDATE, September 13, 2010: The DSCC has added another prize to the package.

How would you like tickets to be in the studio audience for a live taping of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart?

You've heard about our contest to meet and have your picture taken with President Obama in New York City. Now we've added an extra night in the Big Apple and two tickets to see Jon Stewart live. I would keep the tickets myself if they'd let me.

Click here to enter for a chance to meet President Obama and tickets to see The Daily Show with Jon Stewart live. We'll pay for airfare and a hotel.

Don't worry if you've already entered the contest. You can enter as many times as you'd like, but you only have until midnight tonight.

What's the problem? Isn't a chance to meet Obama bringing in enough cash?

I guess the DSCC determined the Jon Stewart would be a more effective draw.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is trying to get donations via yet another raffle.

There was the iPad sweepstakes. And before that, there was the chance to win dinner and a photo with Obama in Dallas.

Here's the latest offer from the DSCC:

What could possibly be better than winning a trip to New York City? How about an unforgettable tourist trip to New York City? Start by taking a boat tour to see the Statue of Liberty and the breathtaking Manhattan skyline, then it's off to a reception to meet and get your photo taken with President Obama!

This trip will be a once-in-a-lifetime event for one lucky person and a friend. This isn't just a quick getaway to the Big Apple. This is a getaway capped off with an event you'll never forget - a reception with the president. You'll even get your photo taken together.

Click here to enter for a chance to meet and have your photo taken with President Obama. We'll pay for airfare and a hotel. All you'll have to do is choose a friend to tag along!

Here are the lines from the Dallas raffle:

I knew it sounded familiar.

This event comes at a crucial time. GOP-aligned third-party groups are planning on spending up to a whopping $400 million on the midterm elections - we've seen what Karl Rove is doing to Barbara Boxer and Russ Feingold. Their singular goal is to win control of Congress and make President Obama fail. We're fighting back, but we need your help.

Somebody is going to meet President Obama. It could be you, but not if you don't enter.

A trip to New York, where you'll meet President Obama? What could possibly top that? Enter today, and good luck!

Sincerely,

Note that the promotion is open only to U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents, who are legal residents of 50 United States and District of Columbia and 18 or older (or of majority under applicable law).

ILLEGAL immigrants need not apply.

What does Harry "I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican" Reid think about that?

Those rules run counter to what the Democrats promote regarding immigration policy.

Hypocrites.
