Scott Walker: Inauguration

What is Mary Burke doing today?

I don't know what she's doing, but I know what she's not doing--- being inaugurated the governor of Wisconsin.

Scott Walker begins his second term today.

Scott Walker Three-Peat Victory Speech (Video)

Thank God, Scott Walker gave the victory speech last night and not Mary Burke. Thank God!

Speaking of God, Walker started his speech by thanking God. Then, he thanked the "men and women in uniform and all the veterans who proudly served our country."

Of course, he thanked his wife, Tonette, and his sons, Matt and Alex, and other family members.

Walker thanked Rebecca Kleefisch, the lieutenant governor, and her family.

He thanked all the campaign workers and the voters.

He had kind and very respectful words for Mary Burke. (She was not nearly as gracious to him in her concession speech. Burke didn't handle her loss with grace. No surprise there, but it's unfortunate.)

Then, Walker talked about how much work we still have to do.

He mentioned how the Big Government special interests failed in this election, and over the past few years in this state, to convince the people of Wisconsin to be "against something." The unions couldn't deliver. They failed in the recall and they failed in their effort to elect Mary Burke.

Fail, fail, fail. Three times: FAIL.

Walker talked about big ideas in his speech, rather than specifics for Wisconsin's future.

It did sound like Walker was addressing a national audience. Of course, he was.

That's fitting given that Obama and Big Labor declared Walker's defeat to be their most treasured prize. They put our gubernatorial race in the national spotlight.

Walker did quickly run through his accomplishments and successes in Wisconsin over the past four years, but this speech focused on bigger stuff.

He declared himself to be an optimist. He talked about the American Dream and the Fourth of July.

Walker ended with, "In America, we celebrate our independence from the government, not our dependence on it."

It seemed like he referred to "America" as many times as "Wisconsin," maybe more.

Was this the beginning of a presidential run?

The speech certainly sounded like more than just an address to Wisconsinites. But, the races in Wisconsin, the recall and this election, have been more of a national thing. Walker didn't choose the recall nightmare and all the ensuing insanity.

The Democrats and the unions turned Walker into a national figure. He's the first and the only sitting governor to survive a recall in American history.

It makes sense that his speech would include statements about conservative principles relevant to Americans outside of Wisconsin.

As a whole, the 2014 election was about the repudiation of the direction Obama and the Democrats have taken us. The country rejected Leftist policies, not just Wisconsinites.

Here's video of Walker's election night speech:

Mary Burke's Political Future

Political future unclear?

I'm sorry, but, HAHAHAHAHA.

Maybe some vetting should be considered first.

Mary Burke's Concession Speech

If elected governor, Mary Burke claimed that she would heal Wisconsin, change the tone and be a uniter.

Apparently, since she lost, she's decided to stick with divisiveness, slamming Scott Walker.

Really bad speech.

I'm glad Tonette Walker started talking and local TV stations cut off Burke.

Scott Walker Victory: Twitter Reaction

I'm enjoying reading Twitter and getting reaction to the reelection of Scott Walker, elected governor of Wisconsin for the THIRD time in four years.

Vicki McKenna's reaction is priceless.

Charlie Sykes celebrates.

James T. Harris is happy.

Wisconsin Right To Life sends congratulations to Scott Walker.

Mary Burke and Michael Brown, Dontre Hamilton, Trayvon Martin

This is so offensive.

It does speak of absolute desperation on the part of the Democrats and Mary Burke.

They will do anything to get out the Democrat vote in Milwaukee.

From PJ Media:
With Democrat Mary Burke increasingly desperate to the point of panic, given the recent revelations of her mendacity concerning her career at her family business, and the embarrassment of President Obama’s flop at North Division High School in Milwaukee’s inner city, both of which preceded news that the prestigious and generally very accurate Marquette University Law School poll shows her trailing Governor Scott Walker by a full seven percentage points among those voters who will walk over broken glass, if necessary, to get to the polls, a new flyer exploits the deaths of three young black men and perverts history in an attempt to shore up her numbers in Wisconsin’s African-American community.

The recently produced flyer, seen above, targets the black community. The flyer has gone viral since it was first seen in Wisconsin, then shot across the Internet, from Arizona-based radio host James T. Harris, to Wisconsin’s Daily Independent. The flyer shows photos of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, and Dontre Hamilton; under each is a caption saying, e.g., “Michael Brown can’t vote,” with the overall slogan: “Don’t let anyone silence your voice. Vote Nov. 4th.”
I miss James T. Harris, but I'm glad to see that he's still making a difference here in Wisconsin.

Vote Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch: Moving Wisconsin Forward

If you support Scott Walker but don't bother to vote, you're voting for the unqualified Mary Burke and the radical Leftist John Lehman, the convicted draft dodger.

I'm anxious about this election. So much is on the line.

Imagine Wisconsin with Burke and Lehman as leaders.

It's a terrifying thought.

No. Fred Levenhagen and those of his truly unhinged ilk cannot be in power.

Graeme Zielinski: Scott Walker Birthday Rant

Crazed Democrat Graeme Zielinski, the guy who worked as a "researcher" for Chris Abele, produced a stream of spewings on Twitter early yesterday evening.

Sunday was Scott Walker's birthday and the 4th anniversary of his first election as governor of Wisconsin. (God, that was a great night! So many terrific victories!)

Of course, the nightmare would begin a few months later - the protests and all the ugliness. Then came the recall.

But that ended with Walker's historic victory, defeating Tom Barrett - again.

This stinging defeat for the Democrats left some of them angry and bitter and bent on revenge. Of course, some were angry and bitter long before the recall.

Read some of the weird poison tweeted by Zielinski:

Zielinski, Abele's "researcher," is really twisted. A mentally balanced adult wouldn't publish such bizarre statements.

Why not tweet about Mary Burke's accomplishments and her qualifications to be governor of Wisconsin?

Right.

One tweet, 140 characters, is more than enough to tell that story.

AP Scott Bauer: Media Didn't Vet Mary Burke

Tom Blumer, NewsBusters, points out that AP's Scott Bauer admits the mainstream media failed to vet Mary Burke.

Blumer writes:

M.D. Kittle at Watchdog.org's Wisconsin Reporter scooped everyone covering the Badger State Governor's race on Tuesday when he reported that Democratic candidate Mary Burke's resumé is not what her campaign's web site says it is.

...The real question to me is why it took until a week before Election Day to learn this.

The answer appears to be that the establishment press in Wisconsin, whose counterparts in Washington found Mitt Romney's alleged high school hijinks deserving of 5,400 words, made no meaningful attempt to vet or investigate Burke.

...Wisconsin's establishment press has spent the better part of the past four years "exposing" all kinds of things about Scott Walker which have collectively amounted to almost nothing except a stack of unfounded smears — but they never bothered to check Mary Burke's core claim of private-sector competence.
Why didn't Albers provide this revelation about Burke sooner?

NOBODY BOTHERED TO ASK!

This is precisely why I don't watch local television news anymore, not even the weather.  It's why I don't even bother to hit the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel website for my free monthly allotment of articles.

The Wisconsin mainstream media have spent this gubernatorial campaign cheerleading for Burke, giving her a complete pass, while they count every hair on Scott Walker's head, defining everything as controversial or scandalous.

What's sick is that the media really didn't drop the ball when they failed to vet Mary Burke.

It was a totally intentional, albeit disgraceful, move by the media.

That must be the case. The only other possible explanation would be that they are completely incompetent journalists, totally unqualified.

No, I think the failure to vet Burke was by design.

So unprofessional.

No sense of decency.

Tom Albers: Mary Burke Was Fired

Listen to Dan O'Donnell's interview with Tom Albers, former Trek president and COO.

Albers is certainly measured in his remarks. If he has an ax to grind, he's doing a poor job of hacking away.

Yesterday on his radio program, Mark Levin spent a good deal of time discussing the "incompetent daddy's daughter who couldn't even run a bicycle shop" Mary Burke.

He shared the information from this post on the News/Talk 1130 WISN website with his national audience. (Levin also had kind words for Jerry Bott.)

Levin can't believe that someone as poorly qualified as Burke could be elected governor of Wisconsin.

He calls on Wisconsinites to step up and vote to keep the "great Scott Walker" in office.

MU Poll: Walker 50%, Burke 43%

Good news, if you trust the Marquette Law School poll.

In the final poll before the election on November 4, Scott Walker is shown to be leading Mary Burke by a wider margin than previously.

Charles Franklin writes:

A new Marquette Law School Poll finds Republican Gov. Scott Walker leading Democratic challenger Mary Burke 50 percent to 43 percent among likely voters in the Wisconsin governor’s race. Another 3 percent say that they are undecided or that they do not know whom they will support, while 1 percent say that they will vote for someone else. Likely voters are those who say that they are certain to vote in the November election.

Among registered voters in the poll, Walker receives 46 percent and Burke 45 percent, with 4 percent undecided and 1 percent saying that they will vote for someone else.

...“Shifting turnout intentions have provided most of the dynamics of the race this fall,” said Marquette Law School Poll director Charles Franklin. “While the results among all registered voters have varied between a tie and a 3-point Walker edge, the likely-voter results have ranged from a 2-point Burke advantage to the current 7-point Walker lead.”

In the current poll, 93 percent of Republicans say that they are certain to vote, while 82 percent of Democrats and 75 percent of independents say the same. Two weeks ago 82 percent of Republicans, and 80 percent of both Democrats and independents, said that they were certain to vote.
I don't trust polls.

I won't relax until the election is over and Walker is declared the winner.

Mary Burke Fired From Trek

Mary Burke has some explaining to do....

Check out the AP headline: Wisconsin candidate rejects claim Trek fired her

Right. And Nixon said, "Well, I'm not a crook."

Scott Bauer, AP, writes:
Former Trek president Tom Albers told The Associated Press that Burke's role as head of Trek's overseas operations "just didn't work out. We were losing money."

Albers spoke to the AP after the allegation that Burke was fired was first reported by Wisconsin Reporter, a conservative website.

The claim that Burke was fired goes to the heart of her credentials as a successful Trek executive and comes just six days before the election.

Both Mary Burke and her brother John Burke, the current head of Trek, denied that she was fired from the job in 1993. They said Trek decided to reorganize its overseas operations, eliminating her position, at a time when she was ready to leave the company.

Albers, who worked for Trek from 1982 to 1997, said Mary Burke was fired by John Burke. Albers said he was told of the 1993 firing at the time by CEO Dick Burke, father to Mary and John Burke, who died in 2008.

Mary Burke said the claim so close to the election was politically motivated.
Is Mary Burke lying about being fired from Trek also politically motivated?

I think so.

The truth is the truth.

Actually, Burke should have been vetted by the press months ago. This information should have come out long ago. Instead, all we've heard are love letters from the Leftist slanted Milwaukee media.

Yeah, like that was going to happen.

Geez, control your enthusiasm, Charles Benson.

Burked shouldn't be whining about the timing of the revelation that she was fired by Trek. She's had plenty of time to prepare a response.

Obama and Mary Burke: Milwaukee

Mary Burke is one of the few Democrats in the country willing to be seen with Obama.

Remember, on Labor Day, Burke was a no-show when Obama was in Milwaukee to campaign?

So why now? Why here?

Turnout. Get the "folks like us" out to the polls.

While Democrats all over the country are struggling to distance themselves from Obama and his radical, failed policies, Burke is willing to embrace the Obama trainwreck.

My fellow Wisconsinites, if this doesn't tell what a radical Leftist Burke is, then nothing will get you to wake up.

From Politico:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says he needs more help from the national GOP in his reelection fight — and an upcoming visit from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie isn’t going to cut it.

Speaking with reporters after a morning campaign stop here, Walker said he is getting outspent on television and faces overwhelming hostility from national Democratic groups and labor unions.

Asked if he was satisfied with the support he’s received from national Republicans, Walker indicated he hopes to get more backup from the Republican Governors Association. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who chairs the RGA, is coming to campaign for Walker this week — but the Wisconsin Republican said he’s “not looking for surrogates.”

...Walker’s new, prickly comments come just a few days after the conservative Weekly Standard magazine reported that “top Wisconsin Republicans” fear the Christie-led RGA is declining to go all-out on Walker’s behalf.

The Wisconsin governor pointed out Monday that his opponent, Mary Burke, had already brought in Bill Clinton to campaign for her and that President Barack Obama is visiting Milwaukee on Tuesday — a sign of the significance national Democrats attach to the race.
"Prickly comments" - yeah, right.

Why is it "prickly" to comment on, oh, I don't know, REALITY?

Big Labor vowed to take out Scott Walker, and the Republicans aren't doing enough to stand up to the thugs and radical Leftists.

Wisconsin Jobs Now Vans: Parking Only For Leftists

Media Trackers has the explosive video of a Milwaukee election official declaring that only the Leftist group Wisconsin Jobs Now get-out-the-vote vans get preferred parking for early voting, not any citizen.

This is MUST SEE NEWS.

This is life in Milwaukee under Leftist Tom Barrett - justice for some.

Parking for Leftists.

Scott Walker: Tuition Freeze

Pro-Abortion Mary Burke: Sonya's Law

Mary Burke is radically pro-abortion.

From the Associated Press via the Star Tribune:

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke says she believes voters do care about the candidates' views on abortion and women's health issues, even though Gov. Scott Walker says people he meets are focused on the economy.

Burke addressed the issue Wednesday during an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's editorial board broadcast on the newspaper's website.

Burke supports abortion rights and says she would repeal state laws requiring women to wait 24 hours before they obtain an abortion and to get an ultrasound first.

Burke says she supports the law requiring minors to tell their parents first before they obtain an abortion.

But Burke says she would veto any bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Burke proudly expresses her radical pro-abortion views.

She'd veto any bill banning late term abortion, after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Does Burke know anything about the development of a baby? What does it mean to kill a baby at 20 weeks of pregnancy?

At 20 weeks pregnant:

Last week, vernix started to coat your baby's skin. This week, he's completely covered with the creamy substance, which will protect his delicate skin from the amniotic fluid.

Making sense. Your baby is truly starting to experience the world around him, limited though it may be. His brain has been working overtime developing the nerve centers dedicated to his senses, and they're coming alive. He's more responsive to the changes in the world around him: your activity, sounds in the environment, and even the taste of the amniotic fluid.

Pick up a hiccup. You've probably felt your baby rolling, diving, and kicking inside your belly. Now you might also feel a rhythmic jerking. No, he's not tapping out a tune; he's hiccupping. Most babies get the hiccups in utero, possibly due to an immature diaphragm having spasms. There's nothing you can do to stop the hiccups, but there's no need to—they won't harm your baby now or after he's born.

Sprouting a top. After establishing a scalp hair pattern several weeks ago, your baby is moving to the next step: growing hair. And this isn't lanugo; it's the real deal. But don't get visions of a lustrous mane just yet. Most of this hair will start to fall out two weeks after birth. Don't worry—your little one will gradually grow permanent hair, which will probably be lighter in color than the hair he has at birth. Elsewhere in your baby's head, the bones of the inner ear are now fully formed, and the nose is beginning to develop into its recognizable shape.

Measuring up. Your baby weighs about 7.5 to 9 ounces and measures approximately 8.5 inches. You could cup the little guy in the palm of your hand.
Mary Burke thinks it's acceptable to kill babies at 20 weeks and beyond. She promises not to protect the unborn. She considers them dispensable.  It's positively ghoulish.

It's not surprising that pro-abortion proponents are backing Burke.

I suppose it's not surprising that radical pro-abortion activists are lying about Scott Walker and Sonya's Law. It's what they do.

From LifeNews:

Leading pro-abortion groups are attacking pro-life Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is facing a tough re-election battle in this purple state. The out-of-state and extreme pro-abortion group Emily’s List is making false claims about Sony’a Law, the pro-life bill Walker signed that allows women a chance to see their unborn baby in an ultrasound while considering an abortion.

The pro-abortion groups claim Walker is violating women’s privacy by forcing them to have a transvaginal utlrasound — a claim the state’s leading pro-life group rejects.

Wisconsin Right to Life’s Executive Director, Heather Weininger, stated, “We only have to look at the text of Sonya’s Law to see that a woman can decide on the type of ultrasound she wishes to have. It is reprehensible that Emily’s List is making false claims about the law, and substantiating their claims with a biased headline no credible newspaper would ever use.”

Weininger said Sonya’s Law provides a mother with the opportunity to see her baby through ultrasound before she makes a decision about how to proceed with her pregnancy. After all options have been explained, it is up to the woman to decide the type of ultrasound she prefers.
Pro-abortion radicals are LYING about Scott Walker and Sonya's Law.

Sonya's Law means women seeking abortions will have the opportunity to become educated on the reality of their pregnancies via ultrasound. They will have a chance to better understand the truth of their choice regarding the fate of their unborn children.

The ultrasound will inform them, give them facts, so they can make reasoned decisions. No propaganda. No distortions. Just facts about human development and the growth of an unborn baby.

Why are pro-abortion proponents like Mary Burke afraid of the truth?

The Leftists/Democrats are such hypocrites. They champion science and mock conservatives when it comes to religion, their values and beliefs.

However, when it comes to science involving medical advancements that allow women to learn the facts of fetal development, the Leftists/Democrats demand that women be treated like children. They want to disregard science. In effect, they argue that women can't handle the truth.

"No science for you!"

"No education for you!"

Education is a good thing. A pregnant woman shouldn't be misled about pregnancy and abortion. Tell the truth. Inform her with facts.

Abortion is about life and death, very serious stuff.

Women should be informed with the truth, something that an ultrasound provides.

Thanks, "science," for informing us about the beauty of new life and its development.

Thanks, "science," for revealing what Mary Burke's support for killing unborn babies even after 20 weeks, something the majority of WOMEN oppose, really means.

Wisconsin Jobs Now: Parking Spaces For Drop-Off Vans

Thank you, MacIver Institute, for providing the public with information that Wisconsin mainstream media outlets fail to share.

This story involves the special treatment liberal group Wisconsin Jobs Now is receiving to carry out its pro-Mary Burke get-out-the-vote (GOTV) effort.

In the lead up to the November 4th election, Wisconsin Jobs Now (WJN) is coordinating a massive get-out-the-vote (GOTV) effort to drive Mary Burke supporters to the polls to cast in-person absentee ballots.

...On Monday, WJN used approximately 10 vans to pick up voters from nine different locations around the city at five specified times throughout the day and delivered those voters to the Zeidler Building, which is located at 841 North Broadway in downtown Milwaukee.

...Mayor Tom Barrett's administration seems to working with WJN in their GOTV efforts. Early in the morning on Monday, a worker from the Department of Public Works put out at least four hoods over meters near the southwest corner of the Kilbourn and Broadway intersection, effectively disabling the pay meters and making the spots a no-cost place to park. WJN vans appeared to park in the now-free spots closest to the corner all day.

WJN workers also were allowed to use a traffic cone in the right-turn-only lane on Kilbourn Avenue to save this area as a parking spot for newly arriving vans to drop off transportees close to the entrance of the building. As a WJN van approached the Zeidler building, it would honk its horn, an on-site WJN staff member would remove the cone from the right turn lane and the van would park for a short time while potential voters went inside to register and vote.
Why should the vehicles of a Leftist group like Wisconsin Jobs Now be granted this privileged status?

Why is Tom Barrett allowing WJN to be above the law?

This is wrong, and so expected.
